Houston’s heroes should inspire us to unite against the disaster of growing extremism!

The New York Post ^ | September 1, 2017 | Ben Shapiro

Because there are certain enemies we hold in common. We hold death in common; we’ll help all but our worst enemies escape the grave. We hold natural disasters in common as an enemy; we’ll react to them by helping out our neighbors.
And we hold civilizational threats in common; we’ll fight together against the Nazi scourge or the Soviet threat.
merica was built on the foundation of free speech, liberty in personal action and freedom from violence and governmental tyranny. Those principles are now under attack by groups like Antifa, far-left-leaning militants, which maintains that there is an existential threat that justifies wartime measures: the presence of the American system itself.
Antifa members believe America is steeped in racism, bigotry, economic injustice and police barbarity. And they believe that this gives them the right to carve away at the foundations that hold us together.
This makes them an existential threat, a cancer gnawing at the vitals of the nation. They aren’t the only ones, of course: Some violent members of the “alt-right,” for example, believe that non-white Americans are the existential threat and use the same logic as Antifa. But the true threat to America comes not from outside but from within. It’s far harder to unify against that threat if we’re unwilling to identify it.

Nancy Pelosi: The Voters ‘Don’t Want to Hear Us Criticizing the President’

Breitbart ^ | September 2,2017 | by Penny Starr

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said on Wednesday that American voters elected President Donald Trump and they don’t want to hear Democrats criticizing him, which “disrespects” their decision.
“(The voters) don’t want to hear us criticizing the president,” Pelosi said. “This was a choice; they made a decision.”
“And to criticize the president personally is to disrespect their judgment,” Pelosi said. “So I say to my members, ‘This is about what we’re going to do.’ ”
Pelosi, who was speaking to the editorial board and reporters at the Denver Post about the Democrat economic agenda before she attended a “progressive women’s event” in Denver, weighed in on a number of issues.
Pelosi said it’s too early to judge Trump on the response to tropical storm Harvey.
“We haven’t seen it. He’s been gracious, he went to Corpus Christi, which is sort of appropriate for him to do, because in the heart of the storm. It would be a challenge to accommodate a president,” Pelosi said, adding that she is worried about Trump’s proposed cuts to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in his fiscal year 2018 federal budget.
“You can’t do that,” Pelosi said, adding that the issue will be on the table when Congress reconvenes in just a few days.
After the violence perpetrated by Antifa activists in recent weeks, Pelosi finally issued a statement condemning them and told the Denver Post violent acts should be “prosecuted.”
“I think if there’s some people who are acting in a violent way, that they should be prosecuted,” Pelosi said. “I don’t care who they are, where they are, whatever organization they belong to.”

Obama Is Now the Most Costly Former President ^ | September 1, 2017 | Leah Barkoukis

After his pension, an office space, and other perks, former President Obama is costing taxpayers the most to support out of all the ex-presidents.

Next year, the American people will be footing his bill to the tune of $1,153,000, according to a Congressional Research Service memo. This figure is more than $100,000 higher than President George W. Bush’s request and roughly $200,000 more than President Clinton’s. Former President George H.W. Bush will receive $942,000 and President Carter will bring in $456,000.
Every former president gets an office, expenses and, in some cases, an annual pension payment, thanks to a 1950s-era law enacted after former President Truman struggled for income when he left the White House in 1953.
While most ex-presidents since Truman have found ways to make their life beyond the Oval Office financially rewarding, the taxpayer-funded perks have remained — and Mr. Obama is the latest to take them. (The Washington Times)
The biggest expense for former presidents is the cost of rent for their office spaces—especially for Obama and Clinton since their offices are in Washington, D.C. and New York City, respectively. Obama’s will cost $536,000 next year, while Clinton’s is $518,000. Bush 41’s office in Houston costs $286,000 and Bush 43’s in Dallas is $497,000. Carter’s Atlanta office is only $115,000.
Obama also has the most expensive pension.
Mr. Obama’s pension payment is also the highest, at $236,000. Mr. Clinton is second with $231,000, followed by the younger Mr. Bush at $225,000, the CRS memo says, citing figures from the General Services Administration, which administers the 1958 Former Presidents Act.
Mr. Bush’s communications budget is higher than any of the others, at $69,000. By contrast, Mr. Obama is slated to get just $11,000. Mr. Bush will also get more money for printing and supplies than the others
Mr. Carter’s figure is so low because he only served a single term in office, his only time as a federal employee, meaning he didn’t put in the five years needed to get health benefits.
But Mr. Carter gets another benefit. Because of an arrangement he struck to turn his home over to the National Park Service when he dies, taxpayers do upkeep on his house in Plains, Georgia, The Washington Times reported in 2011. In 2010, that cost came to $67,841, and included sweeping his tennis court twice a day, clearing branches from the estate’s walking trails, and cleaning the pool.
None of these figures account for the cost of lifelong Secret Service protection for the former presidents and their spouse. This information is not public, but estimates put it at tens of millions of dollars, the Times reports.

Court Stunned As Key Florida Democratic Election Official Admits Truth On Voting

Conservative Daily Post ^ | Sept 1, 2017

During the 2016 presidential election, one of the most controversial claims made by then-candidate Donald Trump was that Democrats were allowing illegal aliens to vote, being a remark that got brutally criticized by the mainstream media, which accused him of spreading false claims. However, almost a year after he became president, this controversial comment proved to be true, after a key election official in Florida admitted that actually happened.

Her name is Brenda Snipes, an Elections Supervisor who revealed that both noncitizens and felons have voted illegally in Broward County. She made this comment in order to defend her office against a lawsuit brought by conservative legal group American Civil Rights Union.

Apparently, this group contends there are more voters registered on Broward's roll than there are eligible voters in the County, being a concerning situation that could represent an illegal activity from the Democrats in the state. According to the lawsuit, those rolls were inflated not only with noncitizens and felons, but also other ineligible people who voted illegally.
During the 2016 presidential election, one of the most controversial claims made by then-candidate Donald Trump was that Democrats were allowing illegal aliens to vote.
On July 31, Snipes acknowledged in court that the processes her office had been using are not exactly perfect, and that some felons and non-citizens have voted despite the fact they were not eligible, especially before major elections, when groups are actively registering the new voters.
In order to reduce the massive impact that this admission could generate, lawyer for Broward County, and Snipes, Burnadette Norris-Weeks said that her statement was simply blown out of proportion and that it was in response to a question, rather than a statement of definite voter fraud. However, legal analysts believe this could be the beginning of a major case, and that Snipes' lawyer is only trying to help her client in any way she can.
According to The Daily Signal, Norris-Weeks told there wasn't a suggestion there was some kind of voter fraud in Broward County. In fact, she doubled down by adding that suggested improvements don't represent any kind of admission of anything.
According to Roger Stone, Hillary Clinton had secret meetings with Snipes in Florida.
However, it is almost impossible to defend such a controversial case, considering that over the last few years, many Republicans have assured that the Democratic Party, with or without knowledge, has committed these kinds of crimes in some states of the country during elections.
As many people know, Brenda Snipes was an important ally of Hillary Clinton during the elections, and reportedly met with her on different occasions during this period. As most members of the Democratic Party, she is known for having a radical stance against President Trump.
During the presidential elections, Florida became a real battlefield for Democrats, since they were willing to do whatever it takes to win this important state. In fact, as early voters started casting votes, many conservatives websites buzzed about numerous pieces of evidence of crooked campaign tactics by Hillary Clinton in order to secure Florida and avoid a GOP victory.
Just like what happened with Trump's comments regarding this issue, Stone was brutally criticized by liberal media outlets, which claimed he was just running a conspiracy theory in order to harm Hillary´s reputation.
This shady scheme centered on left-leaning Broward County, which was already in the news back then for distributing some mail-in ballots without Amendment 2, being a proposal to legalize medical marijuana.
These claims came initially from Donald Trump's former campaign operative Roger Stone, who spoke about a secret meeting during interviews with conservative media outlets. Stone, who lives in Fort Lauderdale, said that Hillary Clinton showed up in Broward County and slipped into a private meeting with Snipes, who he described as the woman who controls the board of elections.
Just like what happened with Trump's comments regarding this issue, Stone was brutally criticized by liberal media outlets, which claimed he was just running a conspiracy theory in order to harm Hillary's reputation.
In fact, some of these media even used his ties with conspiracy theorist Alex Jones to discredit his claims about the illegal activities that Democrats were conducting in Florida, in order to make Hillary win the state. However, Trump achieved a significant victory in Florida that ended up being extremely important for winning the presidential election.
Snipes has been the County's top election official since being appointed back in 2003, and has won subsequent elections starting a year later. Her County's problems included voters registration lists with dead voters, duplicate registrations, felons, and even commercial addresses listed as residential addresses.
U.S. District Judge Beth Bloom of Southern District of Florida in Miami has not yet rendered a decision regarding this controversial case. According to Norris-Weeks, a ruling will likely come in early October.

You Created "US"

I'm noticing that a lot of people aren't graciously accepting the fact that their candidate lost.
In fact you seem to be posting even more hateful things about those who voted for Trump.
Some are apparently "triggered" because they are posting how "sick" you feel about the results.
How did this happen you ask? Well here is how it happened!

You created "us" when you attacked our freedom of speech.
You created "us" when you attacked our right to bear arms.
You created "us" when you attacked our Christian beliefs.
You created "us" when you constantly referred to us as racists.
You created "us" when you constantly called us xenophobic.
You created "us" when you told us to get on board or get out of the way.
You created "us" when you attacked our flag
You created "us" when you took God out of our schools.
You created "us" when you confused women's rights with feminism.
You created "us" when you began to emasculate men.
You created "us" when you decided to make our children soft.
You created "us" when you decided to vote for progressive ideals.
You created "us" when you attacked our way of life.
You created "us" when you decided to let our government get out of control.
You created "us" the silent majority
You created "us" when you began murdering innocent law enforcement officers.
You created "us" when you lied and said we could keep our insurance plans and our doctors
You created "us" when you allowed our jobs to continue to leave our country.
You created "us" when you took a knee, or stayed seated or didn't remove your hat during our National Anthem.
You created "us" when you forced us to buy health care and then financially penalized us for not participating.
And we became fed up and we pushed back and spoke up.
And we did it with ballots, not bullets. With ballots, not riots. With ballots, not looting. With ballots, not blocking traffic. With ballots, not fires, except the one you started inside of "us"
"YOU" created "US".
It really is just that simple.

As Its Influence Wanes, Increasingly Militant MSM Promotes Violence and Censorship

Breitbart ^ | 9/1/2017

Yes, the MSM has admitted they got 2016 exactly wrong and that they are out-of-touch with the average American. What truly terrifies the media about 2016, though, is something that has remained largely unspoken. It is what Trump’s victory said so clearly about the MSM’s inability to influence public opinion and, by extension, the outcome of elections. What has also remained unspoken is the media’s desperate and dangerous reaction to this waning influence.
As a 25 year media-watcher, I have never seen anything close to the propaganda campaign the national media launched to defeat Donald Trump last year. It was 24/7, it was coordinated across every news outlet, it was all-hands-on-deck. And Trump still won. Which can only mean that the media’s influence has eroded to a point where, despite hurling every kitchen sink available, they suffered a humiliating loss last November.
Before I get into the grit of the nit, it is important to keep in mind that our media is nothing more than the communication branch of the Democrat Party. When you look at everything the media does — the lying, the campaigns of personal destruction, the fake news, the focus on stuff like Melania’s shoes — this explanation is the only one that makes sense. The media is a full-blown leftwing political operation run, for the most part, by former Democrat operatives like Jake Tapper, George Stephanopolous, and Chuck Todd, as well as those related to Democrat operatives.
Knowing that, and knowing the long history of leftwing regimes (Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Chavez, Castro), we know what a leftwing political operation does when its influence begins to diminish. Because their ideas are so unappealing and are proven failures, the left ultimately has no choice but to embrace violence and censorship.
