Did Democrats Aid and Abet Terrorists Seeking American Secrets?

American Spectator ^ | February 27, 2017 | By Scott McKay

Since Donald Trump took office there has been ubiquitous media coverage of what can most properly be termed crap.

There was the fake story about the bust of Martin Luther King that was supposedly removed from the Oval Office. There was the New York Times’ slanted report claiming contacts of some frequency between the Donald Trump campaign and The Russians! And more recently, there was the pitiful Associated Press piece screaming about the new administration’s plans to use the National Guard to deport illegal aliens. Those are just some highlights of what the president has taken to gleefully term “fake news” as he skewers the Democrat-leaning media.
It’s not so surprising those outlets spend time on contrivances. Without The Russians! and those vaporous Trump abuses calling forth the echoes of Hitler and his brownshirts, airtime and column space might have to be devoted to other stories which would be less useful to the various narratives being concocted in New York and Washington editorial conference rooms.
One such inconvenient story is that of the Awan brothers.
Oh, you don’t know who the Awan brothers are? That’s also not surprising.
Let’s go back three weeks, to a firing.
Three brothers who managed office information technology for members of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and other lawmakers were abruptly relieved of their duties on suspicion that they accessed congressional computers without permission.
Brothers Abid, Imran, and Jamal Awan were barred from computer networks at the House of Representatives Thursday, The Daily Caller News Foundation Investigative Group has learned. . .

The Terrorist Leader of the 'Women's Strike'

Frontpage ^ | February 28, 2017 | Joseph Klein

The call from the Left is to “resist” a “Fascist America,” which is supposedly the direction the United States is taking under President Trump. Among other things, leftists regularly accuse President Trump and members of his administration of anti-Semitism. Yet one of the leaders of the “resistance” movement, and a co-organizer of the next women’s protest on March 8th is Rasmea Yousef Odeh, a convicted Palestinian terrorist. Odeh had participated in bombings in Israel nearly 50 years ago, one of which resulted in the killing of two Israeli students. Now she is advocating militant resistance in the streets of the United States. For Palestinians, “resistance” is often used as a rationalization for acts of terrorism. Odeh has not explicitly advocated the use of violence - at least not yet. However, Odeh and her co-organizers have called for the March 8th protest to include blocking roads, bridges, and squares. We have seen such uncivil acts of disobedience lead to violence in the past.
Odeh has joined with several other militants as co-authors of a manifesto for a new, more radical form of feminism. Odeh’s co-authors include Angela Davis, who supported the Black Panthers and was a former leader of the Communist Party USA, and Tithi Bhattacharya, a Maoist supporter. The manifesto heralded what its authors called an international “anti-capitalist” feminist movement that is “at once anti-racist, anti-imperialist, anti-heterosexist and anti-neoliberal.”  So-called “lean-in” or “other variants of corporate feminism” are not “feminism for the 99%,” according to the manifesto’s co-authors.

NBC Chastises ‘Really Rich’ Trump for Spending ‘Our Cash’ on the Military! (whose cash?)

newsbusters. org ^ | February 28, 2017 | Nicholas Fondacaro

Things got bizarre during NBC Nightly News on Monday when reporter Hallie Jackson seemed to suggest that President’s Donald Trump wealth somehow precluded him from increasing military spending. “The President who's talked plenty about his money now spending the taxpayers',” she chided while a clip of Trump talking about his money played, “In a new budget blueprint that's as much a political document as a financial one.”

“The White House today also revealed that President Trump plans to hike defense spending by 10 percent, or $54 billion, as part of his first budget proposal,” fretted anchor Lester Holt during the lead-in to Jackson’s ridiculous criticisms, “And it would put other federal agencies in line to absorb some potentially deep cuts.”

China's 'glass king' to complete U.S. expansion despite Trump tensions (4,500 jobs)!

Today ^ | February 28, 2017 | Reuters

HONG KONG - China's largest auto glass manufacturer, Fuyao Glass Industry Group <600660 .ss="">, will press ahead with investments worth about $1 billion in the United States this year despite criticism at home amid growing China-U.S. tensions, the company's chairman said.
The company also expects to invest a further $130 million in Germany and Russia this year as it looks to tap into more high-end overseas markets, Cao Dewang told Reuters in an interview in Hong Kong on Monday.
Cao, whose company is already the biggest investor in Ohio, said he planned to create about 4,500 jobs by setting-up plants in Ohio, Illinois and Michigan this year.
The move has sparked outrage on Chinese social media, with netizens urging the government to stop Cao from "running away" at a time when U.S. regulators are stepping up scrutiny of Chinese buyers and new U.S. President Donald Trump has strongly criticized Chinese trade practices.
But Cao, who briefly met Trump last year, said the United States was a logical place to invest for Fuyao, which supplies almost every auto brand including Volkswagen , General Motors Co and Ford Motor Co .
"America is the biggest overseas market for us. I can and will make money in the U.S.," he said.
"Trump is a very smart person. His presidency will not affect Fuyao's investments in the U.S."(continued)

Trump: Obama is behind leaks!

Arutz Sheva ^ | 2/28/17 | David Rosenberg

President Trump reportedly approved checks on administration aides' cell phones as leaks to press continue.
President Donald Trump has accused his predecessor, Barack Obama, of instigating a series of leaks within the administration and the raucous town hall meetings facing Republican lawmakers across the country.
The White House has faced a wave of leaks to the media since inauguration day more than a month ago, as the administration works to fill hundreds of remaining vacancies, leaving temporary Obama administration holdovers in place.
As the Trump administration looks to plug the leaks, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer ordered staffers to submit their cellular devices for examination, to ensure they had not made unauthorized contacts with media outlets.
Multiple sources told CNN Monday night that this heightened surveillance was approved by President Trump, who they say is outraged over the leaks.
Spicer denied that claim, however, saying the president “did not sign off or even know what I did. That is not accurate.”
Speaking with Fox News on Monday, President Trump suggested that his predecessor, President Obama, was responsible for both the recent flood of leaks and disruptions of town hall meetings held by Republican lawmakers.
“I think he is behind it,” said Trump. “I also think it is politics, that’s the way it is.”
“I think that President Obama is behind it because his people are certainly behind it. And some of the leaks possibly come from that group, which are really serious because they are very bad in terms of national security. But I also understand that is politics. In terms of him being behind things, that's politics. And it will probably continue."

Trump-Backers Rally Against Sanctuary Status in New Jersey

Lifezette ^ | February 28, 2017 | Mary Lou Lang-Byrd

RED BANK, N.J. — Hundreds of supporters of President Donald Trump held a rally in a New Jersey town late Monday afternoon to show their support for the new administration and their opposition to a nearby borough’s consideration of becoming a sanctuary city.
Some Trump supporters ended their rally in nearby Red Bank on the steps of Borough Hall as a committee meeting to discuss the issue was called to order on Monday night. They were met by hundreds of Hispanics who have made the borough their home.
“I feel strong that we have to support our president … Although I welcome immigrants who are legal, we have to protect our borders. To be a country, we have to have borders.”
Red Bank, a borough in New Jersey, is the latest to consider sanctuary city status or other protections for undocumented residents. The meeting room, which held 150 people according to police, was packed within minutes. Approximately 500 people were outside and could not gain admittance.
The supporters of sanctuary status in the crowd held signs that read, “Love Trumps Hate”, “We Are All Immigrants”, “No Human is Illegal” and “Don’t Tear Families Apart.”
Those rallying for Trump and against Red Bank’s consideration of a sanctuary policy all told LifeZette before the meeting they were in favor of secure borders and Trump’s policies in the first month.
“I’m here to support our President Trump,” said Ellen Hausmann of Aberdeen. She said she liked that Trump supports all law enforcement officers, veterans and secure borders. “All the rhetoric and the lies everyone is telling about him … the Democrats are trying to block him. They have to stop whining.” Hausmann said she has been a lifelong Democrat before she voted for Trump and is now switching parties.

Sorry, Bush Is Wrong — The Media Aren't Doing Their Job!

Investor's Business Daily ^ | 2/27/2017 | Staff

Meia Bias: President George W. Bush has issued a full-throated defense of the media's role in modern society. He's being way too generous.
"I consider the media to be indispensable to democracy. … Power can be very addictive," Bush said in remarks on NBC's "Today."
"We need an independent media to hold people like me to account," he said.
Yes, we agree wholeheartedly. But he seemed to imply today's media were fulfilling that role. They aren't. And there's no better example than Bush's own two terms in office.
While we deeply admire the former president for not holding a grudge, the media spent much of Bush's eight years in office actively lying about what he was doing and what he was trying to do.

Just in time for Trump, George W. Bush lifts embargo on criticizing successors!

American Thinker ^ | February 28, 2017 | J. Marsolo

George W. Bush broke his policy of not attacking a sitting president.  Bush did not criticize or attack Obama but has joined the Opposition Party (Democrats and mainstream media, aka Fake News Media)'s war against Trump.

Bush acted like a punching bag during his second term.  Obama blamed Bush for every problem, but Bush remained silent.  He did not forcefully, if at all, defend his Iraq policy, nor did he respond to the attacks on him by the mainstream media and Democrats like Harry Reid.  Reid called him a loser and said in 2007 the Iraq War was lost.

Reid's irresponsible and disgraceful public statement, arguably treasonous, that the Iraq War was lost encouraged the enemy, which prolonged the war, causing more American casualties.

But Bush feels compelled to attack only Trump.  Bush said in a recent interview that he tried to convince Putin to have an independent press, then added a swipe at Trump by saying, "It's kind of hard to tell others to have an independent free press when we're not willing to have one ourselves[.]"

It is disappointing to see that Bush finally ends his silence not to criticize Obama or Bill Clinton, but to criticize Trump because Trump criticized the same media that attacked Bush mercilessly.
