8 Ways Trump’s Already Made America Great Again

Townhall.com ^ | January 9, 2017 | Liz Crokin

After President-elect Donald Trump’s historic election victory, he’s bypassed popping champagne bottles to celebrate and gone straight to work. Although he doesn’t officially become President until he’s sworn in on his Jan. 20 Inauguration Day, here’s eight ways Trump has already made America greater.
Jobs: Last June President Barack Obama told a Carrier employee at a town hall meeting that there was nothing that could be done about the trend of jobs leaving America. He then mocked Trump for stating on the campaign trail that if he were elected and Carrier moved jobs to Mexico, he’d impose taxes on all the products that were sold in the U.S. “He just says, ‘Well, I’m going to negotiate a better deal.’ Well, how – what – how exactly are you going to negotiate that? What magic wand do you have? And usually, the answer is he doesn’t have an answer,” Obama said. Well, apparently Trump does have an answer and a magic wand called a phone. Less than a month after Trump’s election win, Carrier tweeted that they reached a deal with the President-elect to keep close to 1,000 jobs in Indiana. Trump also motivated Ford to scrap their plans for a $1.6 billion plant planned for Mexico and instead will invest $700 million in a Michigan assembly plant creating 700 new jobs. “This is a vote of confidence for President-elect Trump and some of the policies he may be pursuing,” Ford CEO Mark Fields said. After a private meeting with Trump on Dec. 6, SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son, who controls OneWeb and Sprint Corp., said he will invest $50 billion in the U.S. and create 50,000 new jobs. Trump has repeatedly touted: “My administration will follow two simple rules: buy American and hire American!” He doesn’t have the keys to the White House yet but he’s already putting his money where his mouth is.
Economy: Trump’s win has brought the stock market up to new records and increased consumer confidence. In December, consumer confidence climbed to the highest level since August 2001, according to Bloomberg.  Additionally, holiday spending was over a trillion dollars in 2016, an 8% increase from 2015.
Ethics: On the campaign trail Trump promised he’d “drain the swamp”. He’s already halting government corruption and waste simply by tweeting.  On Dec. 6, Trump tweeted that Boeing’s $4 billion price tag for the new fleet of Air Force One planes were “out of control”. However, after the company’s CEO Dennis Muilenburg met with Trump on Dec. 21, he told the press that Boeing would build a new Air Force One fleet for less than $4 billion. “We’re going to get it done for less than that, and we’re committed to working together to make sure that happens,” Muilenburg said. Last week House Republicans voted to eliminate an independent ethics body. However, after Trump fired off critical tweets about the move and their priorities, the Republicans pulled the plan.
Crime: Crime has skyrocketed so high in Chicago that the murder rate has gone up 58% since 2015, the highest it’s been since 1997. More people have been murdered in the Windy City than the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, and there were more homicides in Chicago in 2016 than LA and NYC combined. As Obama, Mayor Rahm Emanuel and other Chicago politicians continue to ignore the problem, Trump has addressed the problem on multiple occasions, and he’s already suggested that Chicago needs assistance from the federal government if the problem can’t be resolved at the local level. On Jan. 2 he tweeted: “Chicago murder rate is record setting – 4,331 shooting victims with 762 murders in 2016. If Mayor can’t do it he must ask for Federal help.”
PC culture: Christmas felt a little more special this year thanks to Trump. Trump campaigned that “we will say Merry Christmas” again. Sure enough, during his Thank You Tour he spoke from a podium with a sign that read “Merry Christmas” attached to it and surrounded by Christmas trees. I can’t tell you how many people said to me this holiday season “we can finally say Merry Christmas again!” Trump is already throwing political correctness in the garbage where it belongs and the country is following his lead.
Women: Despite what the left wants you to believe, Trump has continued to elevate women to high-level positions in his administration just as he did at his Trump Organization. He’s filling White House positions with power women who were pivotal to his campaign such as Hope Hicks, Katrina Pierson and Omarosa Manigault. Most notably, Trump put KellyAnne Conway in charge of his campaign, and she became the first woman to run a victorious presidential campaign. Now she’ll serve Trump in the White House as counselor to the president.
Military: Trump is already bringing back long overdue morale to the U.S. military. The soldiers went wild cheering Trump when he attended the Army-Navy game on Dec. 10. Contrast that footage with the photos of the rows of empty seats as the backdrop of Obama’s farewell speech to the military on Jan. 4.
Israel: While the Obama Administration has stabbed Israel in the back by allowing an anti-Israel resolution against settlements to pass, Trump has criticized the UN and vowed to stand up for Israel. Within 24 hours of Trump’s presidential win, he invited Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to meet with him in the U.S. at his earliest convenience. Netanyahu has called Trump a “true friend of Israel”.

Iran: U.S. Surrendered More Than $10 Billion in Gold, Cash, Assets

freebeacon.com ^ | 1/9/17 | Adam Kredo

The Obama administration has paid Iran more than $10 billion in gold, cash, and other assets since 2013, according to Iranian officials, who disclosed that the White House has been intentionally deflating the total amount paid to the Islamic Republic.

Senior Iranian officials late last week confirmed reports that the total amount of money paid to Iran over the past four years is in excess of $10 billion, a figure that runs counter to official estimates provided by the White House.

The latest disclosure by Iran, which comports with previous claims about the Obama administration obfuscating details about its cash transfers to Iran—including a $1.7 billion cash payment included in a ransom to free Americans—sheds further light on the White House’s back room dealings to bolster Iran’s economy and preserve the Iran nuclear agreement.

Even more evidence Obama birth certificate 'fake'

worldnetdaily.com ^ | 1/8/17 | Bob Unruh

An investigator who was commissioned by now-retired Sheriff Joe Arpaio to find out whether the document President Obama presented as his birth certificate is real says there’s now a 10th feature of the document that shows it’s fraudulent.
Investigator Mike Zullo, who joined with Arpaio in a Dec. 15 news conference disclosing nine other elements that experts concluded were copied to create Obama’s document, released a video to WND explaining the additional evidence.
It explains that two stamps on the Obama document not only were identical in angle to the stamps on another birth certificate – that of Johanna Ah’nee from the same time period – they also had the identical vertical relationship.
This despite the fact that the “stamps” purportedly were hand applied days apart.
“What are the odds that both the stamps in box 20 and the stamps in box 22 would have the exact same corresponding angles even though they were stamped 16 days apart?” the video asks.
That means they almost certainly were digitally copied from the Ah’nee certificate then dragged together and pasted onto Obama’s, the video explains.
Zullo explained that the fact the two stamps are an exact match vertically reveals that they were taken as a group.
“The fact that there is no vertical displacement indicates the exact vertical and horizontal alignment of the stamps are an exact copy from the Ah’nee certificate … reinforcing the claim that the Ah’nee [document] is without question a source document.”
It eliminates, too, he said, any chance that the date stamps were placed by hand on the Obama document.

The Democrats are the Party of Big Money

American Thinker ^ | January 9, 2017 | Richard Wiinchester

Once-upon-a-time, the Democrat Party was the party of the “little man,” i.e., those who made up America’s lower social orders. No more!

The GOP has also been a party of big money, of course, but the partisan-based class and monetary imbalance has shifted.
For decades, the Democrat Party has been the party of what Angelo Codevilla called “the Ruling Class,” and it represents and reflects the interests of big money. That is probably why Wall Street’s denizens don’t take Democrats’ railing against Goldman Sachs, etc., very seriously.
The last presidential campaign illustrates how the Democrat Party has the ability to outraise the GOP. It’s been estimated that Hillary Clinton raised $1.191 billion in 2016 -- slightly more than the $1.073 billion raised by Barack Obama four years ago. Donald Trump’s campaign allegedly raised $646.8 million, much less than what Mrs. Clinton raised.
It isn’t just that the Democrat Party can out-raise the Republican Party in campaigns. The Democrats also rely more on large donations, while the GOP usually relies on smaller donations. Even the New York Times acknowledged that Trump’s donations were coming mostly from small-dollar contributors.
The final dollar figures for 2016 aren’t in, but the Center for Responsive Politics -- an allegedly nonpartisan organization funded in part by George Soros’s Open Society Foundation (need I write more?) -- reported that in 2008, Barack Obama out-raised John McCain by roughly two-to-one ($730+ million to $368 million). Obama raised so much money that he did not need to rely on federal funding of his campaign, the first major-party candidate to do so since the law empowering the possibility was enacted in the 1970s. In 2012, Obama and Mitt Romney both relied more on large individual donations than on small ones.

Senate subcommittee: Obama used taxpayer dollars to influence outcome of Israel election!

World Tribune ^

The Obama administration attempted to influence the results of Israel’s election by funneling U.S. taxpayer funds to a political group opposed to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyhau, according to a congressional report.
The U.S. Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations (PSI) said the State Department gave $349,276 in U.S. taxpayer-funded grants to the OneVoice Movement, which had built a political infrastructure aimed at defeating Netanyahu’s re-election bid in 2015.
Sen. Rob Portman: ‘American resources should be used to help our allies in the region, not undermine them.’ /AP
“It is completely unacceptable that U.S. taxpayer dollars were used to build a political campaign infrastructure that was deployed — immediately after the grant ended — against the leader [Netanyahu] of our closest ally in the Middle East,” said Sen. Rob Portman, Ohio Republican and chairman of the PSI. “American resources should be used to help our allies in the region, not undermine them.”

Ouch: Clinton Failed Presidential Bid Cost $1.2 Billion!

Townhall.com ^ | January 9, 2017 | Matt Vespa

It’s a record. Hillary Clinton’s failed presidential run cost $1.2 billion. Trump supporters should have a field day with this final bill, given that Clinton slammed the president-elect for losing a billion dollars during his business career.
"What kind of genius loses a billion dollars in a single year?" said the Democratic nominee in October. Well, I guess she can add her name to that list I guess (via NY Post):

Hillary Clinton and her supporters spent a record $1.2 billion for her losing presidential campaign — twice as much as the winner, Donald Trump, according to the latest records.
The president-elect, who confounded critics during the campaign by saying there was no need to raise or spend $1 billion or more, ended up making do with $600 million.
Clinton’s expensive machine tore through $131.8 million in just the final weeks, finishing with about $839,000 on hand as of Nov. 28.
Team Trump spent $94.5 million in the home stretch — from Oct. 20 to Nov. 28 — and had $7.6 million left.
The figures include all spending by the campaigns, PACs and party committees.
But it’s not all bad news for Clinton. She did make history by being the first woman nominated by a major party for president, though she was under FBI investigation at the time. And became the fifth person in American history to win more popular votes, but lose the Electoral College. So, her name will be in the books, liberals. Take pride in that. For Republicans, they can take immense satisfaction that Hillary will never be president.

Congressman: Police Appreciation Lights Refused By White House

dailycaller.com ^ | 1/9/17 | Kerry Picket

WASHINGTON — The White House refused a call by a Republican congressman to light the White House blue Monday for National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day (L.E.A.D.).
“Obama has not agreed to do so, but has displayed lights at the White House for other groups in the past, including the LGBT community,” a spokeswoman from Republican Washington Rep. Dave Reichert’s office told The Daily Caller Sunday night.
President Obama previously refused to light up the White House with blue lights in support of the fallen officers following an ambush on law enforcement in Dallas last July.

You'll Never Guess How Many Guns the Average Gun Owner Has!

The Motley Fool ^ | January 9th, 2017 | Rich Smith

We Americans love our guns -- and apparently, we love them twice as much as we used to.

We first twigged to this trend in 2015, when an astounding story on The Washington Post's Wonkblog site revealed that the average number of firearms owned by a "typical gun-owning household" had roughly doubled between 1994 and 2013, to 8.1 guns per household. The trend has only gone up since.

How do we know this? A recent Harvard/Northwestern University joint study estimates that America's 319 million citizens own about 265 million guns today. And although from 1994 to 2016 the number of Americans who own guns decreased from 25% to 22% -- and has in fact been declining over the past 20 years -- FBI National Instant Criminal Background Check System data show that gun sales set new records for the past 18 straight months through November.

Translation: Fewer households owning guns, but more absolute gun sales, equals an increase in the number of guns owned per gun-owning household.

An Open Letter to Meryl Streep

US Defense Watch ^ | January 9, 2017 | Ray Starmann

Dear Ms. Streep,

Congratulations on your award last night. You’ve had a long and successful career. Bravo for you. I’m sorry to say, I personally don’t like your films or your acting, but I guess I’m just another deplorable who watches football and “mixed” martial arts when John Wayne movies aren’t on TV.
In typical Hollywood tradition, you used your moment in the spotlight on stage to bash President-Elect Trump and soon to be President Trump.
As Jackie Gleason said, “How sweet it is…”
Your little tirade on stage consisted of a myriad of criticisms launched against Mr. Trump. In true liberal fashion, they were filled with emotion and fury and signified nothing.
You couldn’t help bringing up the Birther issue could you? Well, let’s examine some facts. Barack Obama took several years to produce his birth certificate. Most Americans, when asked, will either have a copy of theirs in a file cabinet at home, or will simply request the county where they were born to mail them a photocopy. Strangely, the hunt for Barack Obama’s birth certificate became something tantamount to the search for Bigfoot.
When the President produced his birth certificate many experts believed that it was indeed a fake and printed out not on a 1961 typewriter, but on a modern day computer using a Microsoft Word font, strangely called, ‘typewriter.’
Imagine that…
Most interestingly, President Obama’s college and law school transcripts are locked up under court order. He is the only President in recent memory who refuses to release his academic records to the press. I wonder why…
You quickly segwayed into the issue of immigration, by pointing out several foreign born actors in the audience. President-Elect Trump is not interested in the immigration status of Dev Patel or Ryan Gosseling. He is interested in the immigration status of nearly 12 million illegals from Mexico and Latin America who have seized American blue collar jobs and subsequently driven down wages.
Mr. Trump’s call for a temporary ban on immigration from countries that breed terrorists like rabbits, such as Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan and Pakistan would have no effect on the audience at the Golden Globes, unless, perhaps, Amy Adams is working for the IRA.
I think we’re all fairly certain that Ryan Gosseling isn’t a member of ISIS. But, how is the nation supposed to vet hundreds of thousands of undocumented single males from the Middle East. It is a task that is fundamentally impossible. That is a fact, Ms. Streep, whether you or the Hollywood liberal community wish to accept it or not.
It is the job of the President of the United States to protect this nation from all threats, foreign and domestic, not to bow to the whims and emotional vacillations of a post-menopausal actress, who has had several glasses of Chablis, courtesy of the Beverly Hilton and Merv Griffin’s estate.
You then proceeded to verbally accost President-Elect Trump for making comments about a disabled reporter. Yet, Mr. Trump continues to disavow that story entirely to this day. Speaking of disabled and mentally challenged people, where were you when the story broke concerning the four African American thugs in Chicago who tortured a mentally challenged 18 year old white man?
Did you find that acceptable behavior because he was white and therefore possibly a Trump supporter?
Naturally, you stated that you were against any forms of violence, yet your party was instigating violence at Trump rallies across the nation, through paid professional anarchists and sundry criminals financed by George Soros. You might remember a certain Project Veritas video where the DNC’s nefarious plans to incite anarchy were laid at the doorstep of the American people.
I have to admit I agree with you that the nation needs what you deemed a ‘principled press.’ Unfortunately, the mainstream media is neither principled nor journalists anymore. They are nothing more than lackeys, paid hacks, kowtowing to whatever directive emanates from the White House.
I also agree with you that we need a Committee to Protect Journalists. Of course that committee could have helped the journalists that were being targeted and imprisoned by President Obama who seemed to have declared war on the press and whistleblowers.
Undoubtedly, Ms. Streep, you are still suffering from what ABC Sports once called ‘the agony of defeat.’
Perhaps, when you’re alone and counting one of your 15 million dollar paychecks, you might reflect on the fact that Mr. Trump won the election because Americans are hurting. Nearly 95 million Americans are out of the workforce, 50 million are living in poverty and 47.5 million are on food stamps.
The average American doesn’t have the luxury of pondering the issues of our time over a glass of Dom Perignon like you do. They’re in a battle day and night, 24/7 to put food on the table while working three lousy jobs because your President and your party are a trainwreck for this nation.
So instead of giving a pedophile rapist like Roman Polanski a standing ovation, like the one you gave him at the 2003 Oscars, you might want to give the nation of working deplorables who buy tickets to your films that they can’t afford a standing ovation.
You, Ms. Streep, like the majority of the creative community in Hollywood need a serious reality check. You need to come down off your cross on Mulholland Drive and mine some coal, drive a truck and stock some shelves at Walmart with the rest of the country.
Get used to saying President Trump.
How sweet it is!

Obama: I can’t help feeling that I’m partly responsible for my party being destroyed (so true)!

Hot Air ^ | 1/9/17 | Allahpundit

“I take some responsibility for that,” he admits before shifting instantly to how he wasn’t really responsible, having inherited an economy brutalized by the financial crisis, etc etc. I’d be curious to hear him explain, in detail, where he thinks his share of the blame lies. Stephanopoulos doesn’t press him on it, which may be a symptom of his Democratic sympathies or, more charitably, may be due to him suspecting that Obama would have only given a self-serving answer anyway. You’re never going to hear O say that it was a dumb idea to pass a massive health-care reform bill that was unpopular from day one on a strict party-line vote. The most you’ll get from him is something along the lines of “I overestimated how ready the country was for the sort of forward-looking change I’m interested in.” He was simply too far ahead of his time, and thus must America take a detour into “the wrong side of history” before realizing that Obama was right all along.
The funniest part of this answer is how it develops, of course, into him extolling his own abilities. “Partly because my docket was really full here, I couldn’t be both chief organizer of the Democratic Party and function as commander in chief and president of the United States,” he told Stephanopoulos. “We did not begin what I think needs to happen over the long haul, and that is rebuild the Democratic Party at the ground level.” If only he’d been able to juggle both roles, president and “chief organizer” (whatever that means), the Democratic Party wouldn’t have lost a thousand farking seats at the federal and state level since 2009?

Probe of Hillary's email to continue 'full throttle'

WND ^ | 1-9-2017 | staff

If Hillary Clinton thinks the investigation of her private, unsecured email server ended with her failed bid for the presidency in November, she’d better think again, because now the top GOP investigator says a House Republican probe could zero in on “a lot of other characters” involved in the Clinton scandal.

“This was never a political targeting in the beginning, and just because there was a political election doesn’t mean it goes away,” House Oversight and Government Reform Chairman Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, said Monday. “There were a lot of other characters involved in this that we have to look at.”

The House investigation may include several individuals, including former members of Hillary’s campaign or even FBI officials, the Washington Examiner reported.

“This was potentially one of the largest breaches of security in the history of the State Department,” Chaffetz said. “It cannot and should never be repeated again. How is it that so much information was able to migrate out into the world? These are still open questions that we need to finish up so that they don’t happen again.”

CNN Is Now Least Trusted News Network Among Viewers!

The AntiMedia ^ | 1-9-2017

(MPN) A recent poll of cable news network viewers found that CNN’s regular audience is far more skeptical of the political news they receive than Fox News fans.
In the poll published Wednesday by Rasmussen Reports, 1,000 likely voters were asked to describe their media viewing habits. Seventy-five percent said they watch at least some form of cable news each week, with 42 percent saying they most frequently watch Fox News, 35 percent usually choosing CNN, and 19 percent favoring MSNBC.
An even 50 percent of frequent Fox News viewers agreed with a followup question, “Do you trust the political news you are getting?” By comparison, 43 percent of frequent MSNBC viewers and just 33 percent of those who mostly watch CNN said they trust their political news.
According to a November survey by Rasmussen, 37 percent of voters still say they get most of their news from cable news networks. Voters in general were highly critical of the election coverage, with the strongest criticism coming from the 7 percent of those polled who said they mostly get their news from social media, rather than TV.
While once considered a pioneer of 24-hour TV journalism, CNN has faced criticism and accusations of bias over its political news coverage. During the 2016 election cycle, some viewers and analysts claimed CNN focused too much attention on the candidacy of Donald Trump, even to the point that it negatively impacted other candidates. Trump’s former campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, worked at CNN for months as an on-air personality while maintaining notably close ties to the candidate.
In April, Bernie Sanders supporters protested outside of CNN’s offices in Hollywood, claiming the network’s reporters ignored their candidate. In October, CNN cut ties with frequent contributor-turned-interim Democratic National Committee Chair Donna Brazile after WikiLeaks’ archive of Hillary Clinton’s emails revealed Brazile gave Clinton advance notice of debate questions.
Since the election, CNN has been quick to embrace President-elect Trump. On Dec. 2, CNN reporter Cristina Alesci praised Trump’s advisory board of wealthy CEOs, calling it a “historic” gathering. She continued:
“I don’t think that I’ve ever seen anything quite like this before. … Like I said before, this list really represents a bipartisan group of people, so he’ll have some very diverse viewpoints to tap into.”

Deutsche Bank Predicts Massive US Economic Growth Under Trump

Newsmax ^ | Monday, 09 Jan 2017 09:09 PM | Jason Devaney

The growth rate of America’s gross domestic product might rise by more than 200 percent by 2018 under President-elect Donald Trump's economic plan, according to a new analysis.
CNBC cites a Deutsche Bank forecast that claims Trump’s economy-boosting agenda could drive 2.4 percent growth in 2017 and 3.6 percent in 2018. Under President Barack Obama, the economy grew by an average of 1.6 percent during his eight years in office.
CNBC noted Obama is the first president since Herbert Hoover who has not overseen the economy grow by at least 3 percent in one year of their administrations.
The Deutsche Bank report predicts the world economy will grow as well, increasing its 2017 GDP forecast from 3 percent to 3.4 percent. …

Poll: 80% Want Justices Who Apply Constitution as Originally Written

Cybercast News Service ^ | January 9, 2017 | 10:26 AM EST | Michael W. Chapman

The vast majority of Americans believe it is important to appoint justices to the Supreme Court who will apply the Constitution as originally set by the Founders and, in particular, protect religious freedom, according to a new Marist poll, sponsored by the Knights of Columbus.

Eight in 10 Americans, 80%, say it is an “immediate priority” or an “important” one “to appoint Supreme Court justices that will interpret the Constitution as it was originally written,” according to a statement from the Knights of Columbus.

In addition, a majority of Americans — 52% to 40% — “want the court to interpret the Constitution ‘as it was originally written’ and not on what they think the ‘Constitution means now,’” according to the poll. Even three in 10 Democrats (31%) agreed with this view, although six in 10 (59%) did not. For Republicans, 78% agreed, and Independents, 50% agreed. …

Michelle Obama Tells Muslims, Immigrants 'This Country Belongs to You'

Information Liberation ^ | 1/8/2017 | Chris Menahan

The newly devoid of hope Michelle Obama told a group of young Muslims and other immigrants Friday that "this country belongs to you."
From The Star-Telegram:
In her final speech as first lady on Friday, Michelle Obama singled out young immigrants and Muslims, many of whom express apprehension about President-elect Donald Trump.
“Do not ever let anyone make you feel like you don’t matter, or like you don’t have a place in our American story — because you do,” she said. “Know that this country belongs to you, to all of you. From every background and walk of life. If you or your parents are immigrants, know that you are part of a proud American tradition . . . that has made us the greatest country on Earth.”
(Watch video at link)
Religious diversity is “not a threat to who we are,” she said, “it makes us who we are.”
...“Whether you are Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Hindu, Sikh . . . I want our young people to continue to learn and practice those values with pride,” the first lady said. Obama signaled she's going to continue agitating despite being forced out of the White House:
“Don’t be afraid. Be focused. Be determined. Be hopeful. Be empowered,” she said, her voice breaking. “Lead by example with hope, never fear. And know that I will be with you, rooting for you and working to support you for the rest of my life.” In the mind of leftists, immigrants who showed up last week are more American than the decedents of those who came over on the Mayflower.
To think those who built the country and paid into the system for generations have a claim to it is "racist" and "xenophobic."
An American who gets citizenship in Japan is just as Japanese as the decedents of Emperor Sujin, entitled to all the same benefits as other Japanese and "the country belongs to him."
Hey Michael, here's a news flash: the only memory anyone will have of your husband's awful presidency is this.
