Obama: Republican voters think I'm 'the Antichrist' (they may be right)

FOXNEWS ^ | Oct. 3, 2016

Obama mocked Republican critics who see him as “Saul Alinsky” or “the Antichrist,” during a wide-ranging interview with New York Magazine published Monday.

Obama in the interview, which took place Aug. 25, repeatedly voiced frustration with what he described as a recalcitrant Republican opposition, lamenting Congress’ unwillingness to work with him on key legislation such as the Affordable Care Act and the stimulus bill.

“They’re imagining the potential problems that arise, so it’s pretty hard for them to publicly say, ‘Obama’s a perfectly reasonable guy, but we just can’t work with him because our base thinks he’s the Antichrist,’” Obama said.

He also ridiculed the concept that he’s a far leftwing ideologue.

EXCLUSIVE: Obama was so worried about Hillary's health he set up a secret medical check-up!

Daily Mail ^

EXCLUSIVE NEW INFORMATION REGARDING CLINTON'S HEALTH: President Obama is so concerned about Hillary Clinton's health that he recently offered to arrange a secret medical checkup for her at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

Hillary declined the offer because she feared the media would find out about her Walter Reed visit and learn the truth about her medical condition—that she is suffering from arrhythmia (an abnormal heart beat), a leaking heart valve, chronic low blood pressure, insufficient blood flow, a tendency to form life-threatening blood clots, and troubling side effects from her medications. Ed Klein - one of Hillary Clinton's fiercest critics - revealed new details about the presidential candidate’s health exclusively with +10

Trump’s packed rallies and Clinton’s empty chairs

The Toronto Sun ^ | October 3, 2016 | Mark Bonokoski

After relentlessly stabbing away at Donald Trump with character assaults and ridicule, the New York Times believed it had finally found his Achilles’ heel.
It came the old-fashioned way.
It showed up in a snail-mail envelope from an anonymous source that claimed to be Trump’s income-tax documents from 1995, showing he’s quite likely paid no income taxes for 18 years after writing off a near-billion-dollar business loss.
The result? Luke-warm heat, but no boiling oil.
Clinton herself, as it turns out, used the same loophole in 2015 to avoid almost $700,000 in taxes.
Not a billion, obviously, but still 14 times the average annual household income in the United States.
Despite it all, however, Trump is still packing them in at his rallies while Hillary Clinton is either talking to empty seats or cancelling venues when no-shows looked unavoidable.
It’s a conundrum for the anxious left.
The most recent presidential tracker poll by UPI, in fact, shows Clinton slipping almost 2% to Trump.
In the working-class town Pueblo, Co., for example, police had to shut the streets on Monday to accommodate Trump’s entourage, the seats to his rally having been sold out for days in what is now being seen as a faltering Democratic stronghold.
Joining the Rust Belt as yet another shuttered steel town, and having an unemployment rate almost twice the state average will do that.
Contrast Trump’s welcome to a supposedly unfriendly demographic in Colorado to that of Clinton’s Sunday morning appearance at a black church in Charlotte, N.C., where the pews were largely unoccupied.
If you went by coverage in the mainstream media, however, you’d think the church was jam-packed. Then again, no one in the mainstream media published a picture taken from the back of the church where the emptiness was obvious.
Folks stayed away as if it wasn’t even a Sunday.
There will be those who will argue that Trump only packs them in to the point of turning hundreds away because of the circus atmosphere surrounding his campaign, and that no one within driving distance wants to miss out on the next outrageous outburst to come out of his mouth.
There is some truth to this, of course, but, that said, his rallies have most recently been free of hecklers.
Maybe it’s because of fears that Trump’s goons will dive into the audience and pound the bejeebers out of them, or maybe it’s because his message about job creation, a corrupt Washington, and a “crooked Hillary” is resonating.
Since John F. Kennedy was elected in 1960, only one Republican presidential candidate has ever won over the electorate in Pueblo, and that was in 1972 when Richard Nixon was victorious over George McGovern.
Nixon won his landslide by courting blue-collar workers with his Hard Hats for Nixon campaign.
He called these voters his “silent majority.”
Last year, Donald Trump bragged on Twitter that he had already locked up the same blue-collar crowd.
“Finally, the silent majority is back,” he tweeted.
It is now 34 days before time will tell.

Trump is very flawed; no, that's not a reason to accept the damage a Hillary presidency would do!

Canada Free Press ^ | 10/03/16 | Dan Calabrese

On a certain level, I completely understand why Donald Trump behaves the way he does. At times, I even like it. I especially love the way he gives the media no respect and no quarter for their dishonest and absurd behavior. I would like to see more Republicans do that. In fact, I’d like to see everyone do that, no matter who they are.

I like the fact that Trump does not concern himself with the established norms of how proper and appropriate people are supposed to behave in the political world. I don’t think he’s the slightest bit unaware of these norms. I think he knows very well what they are and considers them ridiculous. I think he made a calculated bet that by flouting them instead of following them, he would gain a lot more respect and support than he would lose. And I think he was right about that.

Breaking: Supreme Court denies Obama rehearing on US v Texas immigration fight! ^ | 10/03/2016 | ED MORRISSEY

The White House lost on its fight over Barack Obama’s executive orders on immigration when the Supreme Court had nine members, and it won’t get a second chance with the eight remaining. ... the high court denied a rehearing request in US et al v Texas et al, the biggest fight between Washington and the states on enforcement of immigration statutes:
The Supreme Court refused Monday to reconsider President Obama’s proposed overhaul of the nation’s immigration system following a tie vote in June that blocked its implementation.
The eight-member court’s order shut the door on a plan that already seemed all but dead a few months ago. The court declined to wait until a ninth justice is confirmed and seated in order to rehear the case — and possibly reverse its June decision.
The high court seldom agrees to rehear cases a second time, but it has on occasion done so when a justice’s death or retirement leaves a vacancy that leads to a 4-4 tie. In those cases, the court merely leaves the decision of the lower court intact and sets no national precedent.
This decision leaves the loss in place, and also leaves Obama and his activism with no tools left to intrude on legislative jurisdiction. Had Obama worked in more good faith on this issue rather than leveraging it for cheap demagoguery, he might have found a compromise with Congress. For that matter, if Obama cared about this issue apart from cheap demagoguery, he would have prioritized immigration reform while his party controlled Congress, rather than backing a useless and expensive stimulus package and the disastrous ObamaCare legislation. He might have made himself and Democrats a lot more popular in midterm elections, too.
This closes the books for Obama on immigration. He lost, mostly by forfeit.

This Just In: Obamacare Collapsing

PJ Media ^ | October 03, 2016 | Michael Walsh

The whole idea behind the scam known as Obamacare — from its Stalinist passage along a strict party line vote, to its ludicrous state “exchanges,” to its predictably parlous financial condition, to its misuse of a politicized IRS to act as its enforcer, to its destruction of the reputation of a pusillanimous and cowardly chief justice John Roberts — was to wreck the American private-insurance industry so dramatically that a demoralized and anxious public would demand socialized medicine, aka a “single-payer” system.
That day is now here. […]
The departing president, the woman who seeks to replace him and nearly one-third of the Senate have endorsed a new government-sponsored health plan, the so-called public option, to give consumers an additional choice. A significant number of Democrats, for whom Senator Bernie Sanders spoke in the primaries, favor a single-payer arrangement, which could take the form of Medicare for all.
Yeah, like Medicare — which is basically insolvent — is so great. …

Tens of Thousands Projected to See Trump in Colorado as He Takes Lead in State over Hillary

Breitbart ^ | 10/2/2016 | Matthew Boyle

DENVER, Colorado — Tens of thousands of people are expected to come out to see Donald J. Trump, the Republican nominee for president, over the course of two events just added to his campaign schedule on Monday in the all-important battleground state of Colorado.
Compared with Hillary Clinton, his rival and the Democratic nominee for president who has all but abandoned the state as Trump takes the lead in polling, that’s a significant amount. Clinton had trouble filling a small venue the last time she was in Colorado in early August.
“The last time Hillary Clinton was in Colorado was in early August,” Trump’s Colorado state director Patrick Davis told Breitbart News on Sunday night. “She had trouble filling a high school auditorium in Commerce City. We expect thousands of people in Pueblo and tens of thousands in Loveland tomorrow.”
Colorado’s nine electoral votes make it one of the most critical battleground states, and the last time a Republican won the state in the presidential election was George W. Bush in both 2000 and 2004. Barack Obama, the outgoing current Democratic president, won in both 2008 and 2012, defeating John McCain and Mitt Romney in those respective contests.

More Anthem Hypocrisy: Kneeling, Yes; Confederate Flag, No ^ | 10/3/2016 | Selwyn Duke

In today’s politically correct schools, all types of divisive expression are equal, but some are more equal than others. A case in point is Wiregrass Ranch High School in Wesley Chapel, FL, where showing disrespect for the National Anthem is supposedly a “First Amendment right.” Wearing a Confederate Flag cape, however, is a violation.

The school recently made news because three students came on campus dressed in supposed KKK outfits and another draped himself in a Confederate Flag cape. It turned out that the three white-sheeted lads are minorities — two Hispanics and one “Middle Eastern” kid — which must have disappointed the race hustlers immensely. Anyway, some initially said the “KKK” outfits were ghost costumes, part of “Spirit Week” dress-up day. But then school superintendent Kurt Browning publicly announced, “Usually ghosts don’t have pointed hoods,” which I’m sure is true because ghosts don’t wear hoods at all. And while Browning perhaps has consorted with more ghosts than I have, I understand that ghosts also don’t have physical bodies. So it’s confirmed: those students could not have been ghosts. Hang them.

The Women Who Claim to Be Victims of Bill and Hillary Clinton

BREITBART NEWS ^ | 12/31/2015 | Nolte

While Bill Cosby is finally doing a long overdue perp walk for an alleged sexual assault, and I say “long overdue” because dozens of woman claim he did the same to them over the decades, the dozen or so women who claim to be victims of Bill and Hillary Clinton are being victimized once again by a DC Media circling the wagons to protect Hillary, a woman they are desperate to see become president.
The DC Media is not just politically motivated. Race also plays a factor. The DC Media see black conservatives as apostates who must be destroyed for daring to escape the Left-Wing Thought Plantation. On top of Bill Cosby, and over far, far lesser allegations, this same media has attempted to destroy two powerful black men: Justice Clarence Thomas and Herman Cain.
Despite a laundry list of extremely disturbing allegations involving everything from rape to groping to harassment to character assassination, the DC Media has not only protected white Democrat Bill Clinton, in a number of cases, the media has joined the campaign to destroy these women.
The double standard is glaring.
The pattern is horrifying.
And according to more than one of these alleged victims, Hillary Clinton is Bill’s enabler and the chief protector of their abuser:
The Clintons’ “systematically abuse women and others – sexually, physically, and psychologically – in their scramble for power and wealth,” says [“The Clintons’ War On Women”] press release.
Hillary Clinton’s core agenda is a quest for power, even while she presents herself as champion of women’s issues, [Roger]Stone says.
“If Hillary intends to build her campaign around an appeal to women, her campaign is built on quicksand,” said Stone. But “Hillary is a life-time abuser of women and her advocacy on women issues rings hollow,” he said.

Hillary's sheeple revel in their mindless ignorance ^ | 10-2-2016 | Bookworm

In 2008, when a Progressive friend expressed absolute horror that Sarah Palin was on the Republican ticket, I asked him to tell me why she was less qualified than Obama. After all, unlike Obama, Palin had experience governing. With his back against the wall, my friend uttered the worst indictment he could think of, and it had nothing to do with Palin’s abilities: “She’s not one of us.”
As someone who is by birth and upbringing “one of us,” I know exactly what he meant. The “us” people have all attended prestigious schools, whether public or private or large or small.
The “us” people always laugh at the cartoons in The New Yorker, and they often read the articles.
For news, the “us” people all go to the New York Times, where they read the front page and the style section. They feel smug about the fact that they’re entirely comfortable with the LGBTQI marriages now announced on the wedding page. In the car (and they all wish they could have a Tesla), they listen to NPR. In the evening, during or after dinner, they watch NBCCBSABCPBSCNN, but not Fox. If they’re edgy, they watch MSNBC.
The “us” people always make sure to see the movies that “everyone” is talking about. And when they say “everyone,” they don’t actually mean that. They mean the reviewers at The New York Times, NPR, and other select, sophisticated outlets. If those reviewers say a movie is important, the “us” people will rave about it too, no matter that the plot was unintelligible, the dialogue mumbled, and the message ugly. “It’s important, don’t you know.”
Rather peculiarly, given their snobbery (especially about education), the “us” people think that the opinions of Hollywood actors, many of whom are minimally educated and all of whom live peculiar, cloistered lives, surrounded by unimaginable wealth and unseemly yes-men, are valuable advocates for the “us” crowd.
The “us” people believe passionately in climate change (never mind that none of the predictions have borne fruit) and think it’s a brilliant thing to phase out fossil fuels as quickly as possible. (After all, they’re Tesla drivers.) The little people at home and abroad who depend on fossil fuels for food, protection against temperature extremes, and all other aspects of their basic livelihood will just have to adapt. Mother Gaia is more important.
The “us” people agree with Hillary that all white people are racists — except that each individual member of the “us” people knows in her heart-of-hearts, just as Hillary knows in the shriveled, blackened mass that once was her heart, that this indictment doesn’t apply personally to her.
The “us” people passionately support abortion. As Obama, the King of “Us” so beautifully expressed it when speaking of his young daughters in 2008, “if they make a mistake, I don't want them punished with a baby.”
The “us” people travel extensively abroad and always come home talking about how much better “abroad” is than America. If it’s Europe, it’s more cultured and sophisticated; if it’s the Third World, it’s more genuine and less materialistic. If the “us” people are really lucky, they grew up in a cosmopolitan home with non-American parents, entitling them to look down upon American culture, despite having been born and raised in America.
Although the “us” people travel extensively abroad, they never go to the Midwest unless on business. After those trips, they always explain that the cities were unexpectedly nice (“and so clean”) but that the people are yokels (“but really nice”). Moreover, those “us” people who happen to have grown up or gone to school in the Midwest, make sure to say how grateful they are for having been able to escape the stifling confines of flyover country.
In the 1990s, the “us” people all watched The West Wing and congratulated themselves on being able to keep up with Aaron Sorkin’s coked-up, rapid-fire dialogue — and, more importantly, they revered the president and staff who tirelessly, week after week, in the vacuum of our TV sets, advanced perfect Progressive policy.
I needn’t bring up more examples. It’s enough to know that the “us” people are sophisticated, cultured, educated, and Progressive. They are not Alaskan born and raised Sarah Palin with a degree from Arizona State. They are, instead, Barack Obama, with his edgy, multicultural background, his fancy Hawaiian private school, and above all his Ivy League credentials — never mind that his transcripts have had to be hidden lest they reveal either that he was a sub par student or that he leveraged himself into those schools by falsely claiming to be a foreign national. And like Obama, they aren’t troubled by facts; it’s enough to be “one of us.”
The “one of us” dynamic is obviously class-based, with the division being one of culture, rather than lineage. That’s why, even though Hillary and Bill emerged from the political swamp in Arkansas (definitely not a “one of us” state), they were still shiny sophisticates because Hillary went to Wellesley and Yale, and Bill went to Yale and got a Rhodes Scholarship (a very racist thing to do, in retrospect).

It takes a great deal of work to be “one of us.” Like the firefly, blinking madly to attract its mate, the “us” people must constantly display their bona fides. Everything they say and do must prove that they’re better than the rest of us. It’s a very insecure way to live. Unlike Lord ThisAndThat or Sir Who'sItWhat'sIt, you can’t simply bask in the comforting knowledge that yours is one of the oldest titles in your kingdom. You have to be living proof of your class-based ascendancy — the neighborhood you choose, the car you drive, the wine you serve, the stores you frequent, the sport you play or watch, and the politician you pick.
As my conversation with the Progressive in 2008 showed, a politician’s actual abilities or wisdom are beside the point. What matters is that the candidate is “one of us.” This is why the Progressive sheeple in my world support Hillary notwithstanding the corruption and failure that hang around her like flies around a sheep’s carcass. She does all the right virtue signaling, thereby ensuring those nervous, insecure “us” people that, by supporting her, they are proving again their bona fides. Trump, no matter his wealthy upbringing and Wharton degree, fails when it comes to that oh-so-comfortable virtue signaling. Put some pro-Hillary and anti-Trump posters on your Facebook page and you will be perennially popular at parties.
Because the Progressive worldview is bound by virtue signaling, rather than substantive policies and their real-world effects, their political posters are always remarkably shallow — and in this regard, they are quite distinct from the political posters that Trump supporters pass around amongst themselves.
My Leftist friends like strong conclusions, unbounded by facts. They basically say that he failed “virtue signaling 101.” Their current frenzy is the fact that decades ago he said that a beauty queen who had gained weight in violation of her contract had . . . well, gained weight in violation of her contract.
And you know what? Because Trump is vulgar (which he is), he made the point in a vulgar way. As far as the “us” people are concerned, it’s infinitely worse, and less virtuous, to be vulgar than it is for someone like Hillary to use every bit of power and influence at hand to destroy completely the women who came forward and honestly stated that Hillary’s husband had raped them, assaulted them just shy of rape, or slandered them by calling them liars for speaking honestly about their sexual affairs with him.
When you run with the “not one of us” snobs, you can overlook some vicious, dishonest behavior in the service of abortion rights, but God forbid someone should be vulgar.
That attitude, incidentally, is why it’s utterly irrelevant when conservatives show that Alicia Machado, the porcine princess, drove a getaway car for a murderer, did hardcore porn, and generally behaved in ways unbecoming a lady, whether slender or voluminous. What matters is that Trump did not virtue signal back in the 1990s. He didn’t scold call or out CNN, which reported on the horrors of Machado’s weight gain, as a fat shaming institution. Instead vulgarly agreed that she needed to lose weight.
Other lines of “us” people attack against Trump are equally lacking in substance:
“He’s a racist!” they holler.
Ask a Progressive to support that accusation and you’ll hear that Trump said all Mexicans are rapists and that all Muslims should be barred from America.
And here’s where we get to the shallow “us” people mind. They don’t want to know that the facts are different. They don’t want to know that Trump was castigating the Mexican government for using America as a dumping ground for its criminals or that Trump said that the US should put a moratorium on taking in Muslim refugees until there is a way to weed out the bombers. Nor do Progressives want to know that Trump demands only that the government abide by existing immigration laws or that St. Jimmy Carter himself put a moratorium on bombing Muslims back in 1979. Facts are irrelevant.
“He’s a misogynist!” women and their pet men shriek.
Trump likes the ladies and, because he is vulgar, speaks of them in public in ways more appropriate to a locker or smoking room. Hillary savagely attacks and tries to destroy the same ladies her husband savagely attacked. Doesn’t matter. The short version is that Trump is vulgar; Hillary is vicious. Vulgar loses every time.
“He’s a tax cheat!” the “us” people are now gloating.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Don’t even bother telling them that, thanks to the New York Times‘ grossly illegal conduct, there’s currently no evidence of cheating. The only thing the Times can do is surmise that, based on known losses Trump suffered in the 1990s, it’s possible that he could have taken advantage of tax code provisions to write those losses off in subsequent years. Nor does it matter that the New York Times, in 2014, despite having profits (that’s a surprise) actually — not speculatively, but actually — paid no taxes. And please, don’t waste your time sharing with them this marvelous Judge Learned Hand quotation from 1934:
Anyone may arrange his affairs so that his taxes shall be as low as possible; he is not bound to choose that pattern which best pays the treasury. There is not even a patriotic duty to increase one’s taxes. Over and over again the Courts have said that there is nothing sinister in so arranging affairs as to keep taxes as low as possible. Everyone does it, rich and poor alike and all do right, for nobody owes any public duty to pay more than the law demands.
You’ll also be wasting time if you point out to the “us” people that Hillary and Bill funneled hundreds of millions of dollars through a tax-free foundation that donates to charity only 6% of the money it collects. The rest is used — tax-free — to keep Hillary and her family in highrises.
Again, that’s all irrelevant. The sheeple understand what’s important, which is that Trump is vulgar. The New York Times is not vulgar. It’s “one of us.”
This world division, untrammeled by irritating details, is perfectly illustrated by a cartoon that made the Facebook rounds (which for some reason I can’t find now). It shows a bathroom with a leaky sink labeled “Hillary” and, next to it, an overflowing toilet, flooding the bathroom with effluvia, labeled “Trump.” No substance; just sheeple talk — “Ignore the details. She’s one of us. He’s not one of us.”
How different are the political posters I see from Trump supporters. Delving into substance, they challenge:
  • Cattle futures;
  • Whitewater
  • Bimbo eruptions;
  • The mysterious deaths in Hillary’s wake since the 1990s;
  • Travelgate;
  • Hillary’s failed health care initiative;
  • The lies and attacks Hillary mounted against innocent women to protect a husband now known to be guilty as charged (although Hillary was in good company — “I’d be happy to give [Clinton] a b- j- just to thank him for keeping abortion legal.“);
  • Hillary’s disastrous Russian “reset”;
  • Hillary’s disastrous Libya intervention;
  • Hillary’s disastrous and deadly Benghazi management (and the subsequent lies);
  • Hillary’s disastrous Syria policy;
  • Hillary’s disastrous Libya policy;
  • Hillary’s unsecured email server, which gave away America’s state secrets;
  • Hillary’s pay-for-play Clinton Foundation, which took money from antisemitic, misogynistic, homophobic nations and with Hillary then rewarding those nations with State Department favors;
  • Hillary’s sell-of of American uranium;
  • Hillary’s endless stream of lies (sniper fire, anyone?);
  • Hillary’s documented vicious behavior ("F*cking Jew bastard“; "Stay the f*ck away from me! Just f*cking do as I say!"); and Hillary’s health, everything from Frenzel lenses, to coughs, to lesions on her tongue, to bizarrely rolling eyeballs, to collapses that look a whole lot more like seizures or Parkinsons than they do like pneumonia.
When Trump supporters and other conservatives are not busy highlighting Hillary’s past failures, as well as her chronic moral and physical problems, they launch attacks on her political positions (to the extent that “chase the Leftist voter Hillary” can ever be pinned down on anything):
  • increasing gun control,
  • making the government bigger,
  • federally funding abortions,
  • letting in significant numbers of unvetted “refugees” (mostly male, mostly Muslim) from ISIS-rich nations,
  • continuing Obama’s open border to the South,
  • continuing Obama’s deep-seated hostility to Israel,
  • passing more control to the United Nations, and so on.
Another target-rich substantive environment for conservatives attacking Hillary is her deep hatred for the American people. Her “deplorables” speech is pretty darn impressive. First, she writes off roughly one-quarter of American voters as being irredeemable:
You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump's supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right?
The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic -- you name it.
The other half of Trump’s supporters aren’t treated much better. They may not be “deplorable,” but they’re pathetic, scared, and stupid:
But the other basket -- and I know this because I see friends from all over America here -- I see friends from Florida and Georgia and South Carolina and Texas -- as well as, you know, New York and California -- but that other basket of people are people who feel that the government has let them down, the economy has let them down, nobody cares about them, nobody worries about what happens to their lives and their futures, and they're just desperate for change. It doesn't really even matter where it comes from. They don't buy everything he says, but he seems to hold out some hope that their lives will be different. They won't wake up and see their jobs disappear, lose a kid to heroine, feel like they're in a dead-end. Those are people we have to understand and empathize with as well.
Let me say that Franklin Roosevelt, who did come from American royalty, would never be heard saying that he had to force himself to “understand and empathize” with suffering Americans. Hillary, however, does.
A Hillary victory will not just be a victory for an unprincipled, corrupt, incompetent woman. It will also mark the ascendancy of an educated class that has abandoned substance in favor of the type of posturing last seen in the corrupt, unprincipled, and guillotine-bound court of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette. Just as Trump is a symptom, not a cause, of middle- and working-class Americans ground down by decades of being taxed and sidelined, Hillary is a symptom (and, I think, a cause) of a self-styled American elite that rejoices in its ignorance so long as its positions and appearance signal its importance.

Obama sees origins of Trump's rise in Sarah Palin

Politico ^ | 10/3/2016 | Louis Nelson

The path that brought the Republican Party to nominating Donald Trump as its candidate for the White House began in 2008, President Barack Obama said in an interview published Monday, when Sarah Palin joined John McCain’s GOP ticket.
“I see a straight line from the announcement of Sarah Palin as the vice-presidential nominee to what we see today in Donald Trump, the emergence of the Freedom Caucus, the tea party, and the shift in the center of gravity for the Republican Party,” the president told New York Magazine. “Whether that changes, I think, will depend in part on the outcome of this election, but it’s also going to depend on the degree of self-reflection inside the Republican Party. There have been at least a couple of other times that I’ve said confidently that the fever is going to have to break, but it just seems to get worse.”
In a wide-ranging interview that covered the moments of his administration that Obama believes will have a lasting historical impact, the president explained his realization early on that Republicans would show little interest in working with him. He recalled the opposition to a stimulus package from Rep. John Boehner, then the House minority leader, just days after Obama’s first inauguration, as the first sign of the difficult relationship he would have with the GOP. To even be photographed with him, the president remembered Sen. Mitch McConnell saying, would be damaging and therefore the Kentucky senator said any deal should happen on his terms.

Illegal Foreign Voting in Virginia Covered Up by Soros-Backed Democratic Officials, Says Report

Breitbart ^ | 2 Oct 2016 | Neil W. McCabe

Virginia’s election officials are enabling illegal registration and voting by foreign citizens, according to an extensive new study, titled “Alien Invasion in Virginia,” by a former Department of Justice civil rights lawyer.
“Virginia election officials don’t seem to care that thousands of [foreign] aliens have corrupted their voter rolls,” by illegally registering to vote, said J. Christian Adams, the former Department of Justice lawyer, and now the president of the Public Interest Legal Foundation. “Even worse than doing nothing about it, they are trying to cover it up,” he told Breitbart News.

Ouch: British political party calls Hillary Clinton ‘Islam’s whore’

usasupreme ^ | oct 2016

On Tuesday, Liberty GB, a group calling itself “Britain’s most outspoken political party,” posted an article by REELTalkRadio show host Audrey Russo that minced no words in its harsh criticism of Democratic Party nominee Hillary Clinton. So sharp was his criticism that Russo headlined his piece, “Hillary Clinton: Islam’s Whore.”
Russo starts by calling Clinton “the most corrupt politician to run for the White House.” And, he adds, that’s “before ever being elected.”
He then called out the so-called “mainstream media,” known here as the “Democrat-media complex,” for giving her cover throughout the campaign.
He provided a somewhat abridged list of her many scandals, including her work covering for her husband’s many affairs by “defaming and harassing…” them. Naturally, he mentioned her role in Benghazi, “her involvement and cover-up of Vince Foster’s death,” and her current email scandal, among others.
He added:
This is a candidate who would most likely throw anyone under a bus (literally) who stands in the way of her becoming the first female president. (Of course, gender has nothing to do with the qualifications for the highest office in the Free World – but character does, and on that basis she’s already disqualified.)
He was far from finished, observing that her foundation has had no trouble accepting large sums of money from Muslim countries ruled by Sharia Law:
• Algeria donated $250,000 to $500,000 • The Nation of Brunei donated $1,000,000 to $5,000,000 • Kuwait donated $5,000,000 to $10,000,000 • Sultanate of Oman donated $1,000,000 to $5,000,000 • Qatar donated $5.8 million • Saudi Arabia donated up to $50 million • United Arab Emirates donated up to $11.5 million • Morocco-owned OCP, a phosphate exportation company, donated $1,000,000 to $5,000,000
“By taking this filthy Islamic lucre, Hillary has prostituted herself out to whatever these ‘donors’ desire, including shutting up our First Amendment rights, as she has been a proponent of the blasphemy lawthe OIC (Organisation of Islamic Cooperation) has been pushing at the UN. She has betrayed those she claims to defend, and she has presented these individuals as an offering to Muhammad’s minions,” he wrote.
As we recently noted, Clinton reportedly promised Islamic countries that the federal government would intimidate Americans who speak out or criticize Islam.
Last year, she also claimed that Muslims have “nothing whatsoever” to do with terrorism.
But, Russo said, her “alliances and obligations to corrupt Islamic countries and terror groups (MB) make her an extremely dangerous individual to America’s national security and therefore a liability for our freedom-loving allies.”
“America and the free world have no place for conduits for Muhammed,” he added. “It’s now imperative to keep Islam’s Whore out of the White House.”
At least Russo didn’t call Hillary, “Mrs. Clinton,” a term that some on the left have determined to be “sexist” and therefore, a doubleplus ungood thoughtcrime…

HILLARY’S GREATEST NIGHTMARE IS COMING TRUE ^ | October 3, 2016 | Daniel Greenfield

Like the witch in Hansel and Gretel, Hillary Clinton is desperately trying to lure young voters into her artisanal fair trade GMO-free gingerbread house. And they just aren’t interested.
In a desperate effort to get out the youth vote, Hillary Clinton dragged her former nemesis, 75-year-old Bernie Sanders, to New Hampshire to campaign for her. When your best bet for winning over the kids was born during WW2, you have a major problem. But whatever millennial pixie dust the senile Socialist had been wearing before had worn off. “Is anyone here ready to transform America?” he croaked.
Not with Hillary. Not even the most naive college freshman believes in Hillary as an agent of change.
“Bernie’s campaign energized so many young people,” Hillary Clinton insisted. But adding Bernie to her campaign of the living dead didn’t energize it. It slowed it down even more.
Hillary Clinton has the backing of less than half of young voters. And the news only gets worse for the Evita of Arkansas.
Only 47% of adults 18 to 34 are certain that they will vote this year. That’s down from 74% in 2008. Only 17% of voters under 30 are enthusiastic about voting this year. And, just to make things worse, Gary Johnson is pulling in 14 percent of younger voters. In Virginia, Hillary gets only 34% of the under 34 crowd. That’s not just an entertaining coincidence. It’s also an entertaining catastrophe.
That’s why the “Aleppo Moment” is suddenly getting so much media coverage. Johnson is attracting too many of the voters whom Hillary needs. And so the media is targeting the latest threat to Her Highness.
It’s also why Obama and Bernie are both warning about the perils of voting third party. But neither of them seem to be able to shift their following over to Hillary. And the celebrities aren’t doing any better.
Trying to make Hillary seem cool by surrounding her with celebrities only highlights her blandness. That’s what went wrong at the DNC. But surrounding her with Obama and Bernie, the candidates that younger voters chose over her, just reminds them of why they rejected her.
Hillary’s Achilles heel is an older electorate. An older electorate is least likely to be influenced by celebrity tweets and pop culture peer pressure. It is most likely to consist of adults with life experience who have actually worked for a living and understand that everything has to be paid for.
Voters over 55 years old have consistently said that they will vote by percentages in the low 80s. The only recent time that the youth vote hit similar numbers was in 2008 when 74 percent of 18 to 34 adults expressed enthusiasm about voting. But now it’s not just low. It’s the lowest this century.
The same is true of Democratic voter enthusiasm. Only 65% of Democrats say that they will definitely vote. Compare that to 76% of Republicans. All this adds up to an older and more conservative electorate.
Hillary Clinton’s greatest nightmare is coming true. Having clawed her way to the top of the heap, she now finds that the heap is sinking under her. The closest thing that she has to a base are black women. They helped her beat Bernie, but her victory alienated the Bernie crowd who drifted to Gary Johnson. And black voter enthusiasm for her is also low. That leaves her with lots of money, but no actual voters.
The Clinton campaign can buy consultants by the yard. It can squander the national budget of a starving African country on a television ad buy in a swing state. What it can’t do is buy enthusiasm.
The vast cultural machinery that made Obama so iconic, that even made a crotchety leftist from Vermont appear likable, needs something to work with. It can’t work with nothing at all.
And nothing is all it has to work with.
When Obama taunted her with, “You’re likable enough, Hillary” during the primary debates while she laughed her awkward fake laugh, he was focusing in a fundamental weakness. Hillary is not likable.
The case for her being made by the media entertainment complex is that she doesn’t have to be likable to be competent. Unfortunately she isn’t competent either. There’s no track record of accomplishments to point to. The truth grasped by most voters is that Hillary is where she is because of her last name.
Her accomplishments are a mishmash of corruption, greed and deceit. They’re impressive only to other criminals. Even most Democrats are well aware that Hillary is dishonest and untrustworthy.
The left has traditionally won the youth vote by exploiting their idealism. To be young is to believe that transformative change can come and to reject any compromises that fall short of a perfect ideal. And there’s no politician who could be worse at winning over an idealistic group than Hillary Clinton.
Voting for Hillary is a compromise. Not an ideal. No Democrat believes otherwise.
The media campaign for Hillary leans on depicting Trump as the greater evil and Hillary as the lesser evil. But younger voters are least likely to be moved by being asked to vote for the lesser evil. Instead they want to vote for the greater good. And no amount of makeovers will make Hillary into the greater good.
That’s why Hillary Clinton is making little headway with young voters. And why Obama and Bernie can’t help her. Bernie Sanders built his brand on appearing to take on the Clinton establishment. Now that he’s becoming part of that establishment, his brand is worthless. The same is true of Barack Obama.
They appeared to be agents of change because they ran against Hillary. But even though Hillary Clinton has recanted and contradicted her views so many times that she might as well be running against herself, she can’t actually do that. And that leaves her with nothing except desperate measures.
Shortly after she rigged the DNC to beat Bernie, she betrayed Democrats by detaching her anti-Trump efforts from their national election strategy. Instead of using Trump to attack the GOP, she instead began trying to win over Republicans by depicting Trump as the antithesis of the GOP. Democrats were furious at this latest betrayal from the Clintons, but Hillary was just chasing the available voters.
An older and more conservative electorate leaves her with diminished options. Hillary’s people know their ceiling among younger voters better than anyone else. Instead they are desperately trying to target the voters who are likely to show up. And those voters look very different than the Obama coalition.
Hillary Clinton is trying to do too many things at the same time. She transforms into a new politician for every audience. And all that does is alienate younger voters even more. No amount of celebrities or dot com voter registration drives can change the fact that younger voters can see how fake she is.
After decades of scheming, conniving and manipulating she was finally elected prom queen. But the tragedy is that no one wants to take Hillary to the prom.

In Case You Missed It

Hillary Clinton is prepared for Monday's presidential debate after expressing her exasperation last week that she's not leading Trump by fifty points. She's publicly branded him as a racist, a xenophobe and a misogynist. She's got to stop advertising for him, it's only helping him in the polls.

Angelina Jolie's decision to file for divorce against Brad Pitt on Tuesday was met with general relief by Hollywood's liberal movie industry. The couple had become insufferably self-important. The last time Angelina and Brad dropped by the White House, they offered to adopt Sasha and Malia.

New York's disgraced former Congressman Anthony Weiner faces possible prison time after he got busted Tuesday sexting a fifteen-year-old girl. He sent no lewd photos this time. Everyone in Hollywood agrees that Anthony Weiner should be a bigger star considering all the exposure he's had.

Charlotte residents rioted, looted and burned Tuesday after one year of race riots in Baltimore and Ferguson, New York bombings, and mass shootings in Orlando and San Bernardino. It's like we're a Third World country. ISIS Friday issued a statement asking Americans to leave something for them.

Washington University in St. Louis will host the second presidential debate under a town hall format. There will be no breaks in case Mrs. Clinton suffers another prolonged coughing fit. However, like a Gallagher concert, the front three rows will be given plastic sheets for their protection.

Donald Trump tried to put the birther issue to rest last week when he declared that President Obama was born in the United States. It's been a hot-button issue throughout American history. Donald Trump's least favorite fact is that the first seven U.S. presidents were born in another country.

Hillary Clinton declined to take a neuro-cognitive test to vouch for her mental fitness. On the same day, Trump staffers had to deny charges he's clinically insane. In Anglo-American legal traditions, the decision over who's sane and who isn't is generally made by the person with the key.

Washington University in St. Louis will host the second debate in October. Here's how it will play out. Hillary will collapse and then Trump will rush over to help her, then the Secret Service will shoot him dead, and since he will be quiet, his poll numbers will go up and he'll win the election.

Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump showed up onstage at Hofstra University on Monday where they attempted to stage a debate about the serious issues confronting the American people today. It quickly dissolved into utter chaos. Laurel and Hardy looked better pushing a piano up the staircase.

Donald Trump took dead aim at the Obama coalition during the debate Monday in the way he framed his comments. He supported child care to woo women voters, he backed urban enterprise zones to court minority voters, and he spent the entire debate sniffing to court the Beverly Hills voters.

Donald Trump vowed to put Gennifer Flowers on the front row in Monday's debate to throw Hillary off her game. What fun. However the idea was scotched when Mrs. Clinton threatened to retaliate by inviting Donald Trump's first wife, Trump's second wife and the Mayor of Atlantic City.

Hillary Clinton's spokeswoman said early Monday that Hillary is prepared to shatter the glass ceiling and be the first woman elected president of the United States. She loves the sound of that glass breaking. Hillary's the reason all the White House china looks like it's been glued back together.

The New York Post reported Tuesday that the presidential debate on Monday between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton drew eighty million viewers. However, the voters could only draw one conclusion. Let's face it, the biggest problem with this presidential election is that somebody could win.

Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump battled it out in Monday's debate in New York. The debate drew an audience of over eighty-five million viewers. The next morning, Donald Trump walked outside and saw that he is leading in the polls, and traditionally this means six more weeks of comedy.

Rush Limbaugh explained Trump's nasal sniffing during the debate as a failure by the sound engineer to properly muffle the microphone. It was distracting. For ninety minutes, it sounded like Trump was either doing cocaine or he'd rented a deviated septum from Charlie Sheen for the debate.

The New York Post published a list of Hillary's past mistakes, lies and legal misadventures for Trump to use against her next debate. The newspaper is a huge New York tabloid. Bill Clinton is so angry at the Post for constantly criticizing Hillary that he's threatened to cancel his personal ads.

The National Review ripped President Obama for his attempt to close down the Guantanamo Bay prison in Cuba by releasing the terrorists and sending them home. What's disturbing is the recidivist rate. Even the turkey Obama pardoned last November is back on the streets committing crimes.

American Heritage ran a character profile of all the presidential candidates the last sixty years and said going from Adlai Stevenson and Eisenhower to Hillary and Trump is a steep decline in presidential leadership. Remember when George Washington couldn't tell a lie? Now everybody can.

Hillary Clinton spoke in New Hampshire Wednesday where she ridiculed the notion of Donald Trump being in charge of the United States nuclear weapons codes. A nuclear war would destroy the entire planet. Nobody thinks Hillary will push the button but everyone's afraid she might fall on it.

Donald Trump appeared on Bill O'Reilly's show on Fox News Wednesday where he discussed his new poll numbers and his strategy for the second debate. Trump laughed off all those jokes about him sniffing throughout the first debate..It sounded like he was fighting off a cold with cocaine.

Hillary Clinton was joined by her former rival, socialist Bernie Sanders, at a university in New Hampshire Wednesday to try to appeal to Millenial voters who adored Bernie. For such a lovable guy, Bernie doesn't laugh much. Jokes about socialism aren't funny unless everybody gets them.

FBI Director Jim Comey received a grilling in the House on Wednesday over Hillary's e-mail scandal after he gave five people immunity, filed no charges and two witnesses blew off House subpoenas. It's bad. Right now, Hillary Clinton needs a new scandal like an ISIS hostage needs a hat.

FBI records leaked Wednesday showed eight thousand encounters between the law and terror suspects on the Mexico border last year. It's bad. In a new poll, seventy percent of Americans said they disapprove of Obama's Open Border policy and the remaining thirty percent said, no comprende.

A White House email account was hacked and a lot of their information was leaked yesterday. They're saying the information was stolen from the Gmail account of a low-level staffer. Then Joe Biden was like, "Technically, my title is vice president."

It was reported today that due to his role in the Bridge-gate scandal, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie could face impeachment. When he heard that, Christie said, "MMM, peach, mint."

The debate was actually split into several themes. America's direction, America's prosperity, America's security, and then strangely "America's ninja warrior."

There were actually 1,000 people in the audience tonight and they were instructed not to applaud or cheer during the debate. As people watching were like, "What about sobbing? Can we quietly sob?"

In addition to costumes, they also banned balloons and drones. Which explains why Trump uninvited Chris Christie and Ben Carson.

A lot of celebrities are sharing their views of the election. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Bruce Springsteen called Trump a moron. Which is why now Trump's starting a rumor that Springsteen wasn't really born in the USA.

The second presidential debate is just 11 days away, and this one will have a town hall format. The first question will be, "Why'd you have to do this in OUR town?"

It's reported that even the Taliban actually had a debate viewing party. So for the first time, it looks like they're torturing themselves.

Hillary Clinton actually went to her granddaughter's second birthday party instead of preparing for the first debate against Trump. I guess she figured being around a bunch of screaming toddlers might help her even more.

While speaking to students at the University of New Hampshire yesterday, Hillary Clinton said, "Isn't this one of the strangest elections you've ever seen?" And then college kids were like, "Uh, we're 18. It's the ONLY election we've ever seen."

Bernie Sanders is also campaigning with Hillary. Yesterday, he asked a crowd at one of her rallies, "Is everybody here ready to transform America?" Followed by his next question, "Does anybody here remember where I parked?"

Donald Trump is reportedly angry that his advisers are saying that he struggled during the first debate. Then his advisers were like, "Oh, so you CAN hear us."

After tonight's debate, several Fox News analysts said that Hillary Clinton was the clear winner. So maybe global warming IS a hoax because hell has frozen over.

Pundits are noting that this year's group of debate moderators is the most diverse in history, featuring an African-American, two women, a Filipino, and an openly gay man. Trump was like, "I think I've heard this one before, but go ahead."

Ahead of tonight's debate, Hillary Clinton posted an article on Twitter pointing out that no living president has endorsed Donald Trump. Nice try, Hillary, but it just so happens that Vladimir Putin is living.

Madonna reportedly bought her son a Donald Trump piñata this weekend to celebrate his birthday. A Donald Trump piñata is just like a regular piñata, except there's nothing inside.

Green Party candidate Jill Stein was escorted off the Hofstra University campus this afternoon after she tried to talk to reporters outside of tonight's debate without proper credentials. As she was being dragged away by police she shouted, "Don't you know who I am?" and they said, "No. No one does."

A man in Washington State was fined this week for trying to drive in a carpool lane with a cardboard cutout of Donald Trump glued to his passenger seat. Cops became suspicious when Trump's mouth wasn't moving.

In an interview yesterday, Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson was unable to name any world leaders when asked who his favorite head of state was. Wow. This might have cost him the election.

America Online founder Steve Case endorsed Hillary Clinton for president today. Although the last thing Hillary wants to hear is "You've got mail."

-- Seth Meyers

Hillary Clinton has asked "Shark Tank's" Mark Cuban to attend tonight's debate. Trump was furious and said, "A billionaire reality star has no business being at a presidential debate."

Before tonight's debate, President Obama told Hillary Clinton, "Be yourself." Then Obama told Donald Trump, "Please, please, please be yourself."

Hillary Clinton is campaigning with Bernie Sanders for the millennial vote. They're trying to get millennials with the opening line, "Hey, our combined age is approximately one millennium.

At the next debate, Donald Trump is threatening to talk about all of Bill Clinton's affairs. Hillary's not too worried, because the debate's only 90 minutes.

Donald Trump is still being mocked for promising in the debate to "cut taxes bigly." Trump has apologized, and promised in the next debate he'll "speak more goodly."

Last night, Donald Trump told an audience that before Monday's debate -- this is a quote -- "I pretended I was talking to my family." Then he admitted he frequently accuses his family of deleting emails and creating ISIS.

Hillary Clinton has vowed to crack down on hackers who launch cyberattacks. She said, "If anyone's going to abuse U.S. government computers, it's gonna be me."

Yesterday, Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson was giving a television interview and was unable to name a single foreign leader. Hmmm... sounds like SOMEONE wants to be Donald Trump's secretary of state.

We all just watched Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton debate for an hour and a half. Coming into tonight's debate, Democrats were divided between two strong emotions: panic and pants-crapping.

Democrats have not been this nervous since Anthony Weiner asked to borrow their phone.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump had to not commit murder -- on camera.

Meanwhile, Hillary was so prepared, my new nickname for her is Preparation H. Yeah, it's a compliment. In the primaries, she already proved she could "soothe the Bern."

Of course, it did not take long for one of these two candidates to tell a lie. [clip of Hillary saying, "Donald, it's good to be with you.] False! Where are the fact-checkers? Pinocchio!

The debate was moderated by NBC's Lester Holt, which makes sense since he hosted "Dateline" and is used to two rich white people who want to murder each other.

We are still trying to figure out who won Monday's presidential debate. Democrats say Hillary won, while Republicans are strong in their conviction that there are still two more debates.

A recent poll shows Clinton has the support of just 31 percent of likely voters under 35. So Hillary's doing everything she can to attract young people. That's why, for the first time since July, she appeared on the campaign trail this week with that millennial heart-throb, Bernie Sanders.

Bernie! They really like him. He really connects with millennials, because a lot of his clothes are also 18 to 30 years old.

-- Steven Colbert

Tonight the main event from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York: Donald Trump vs. Hillary Clinton in the first of three presidential debates. It was a long 90 minutes. But the results are in and not a single voter changed their mind. A huge waste of time. It's very hard to believe that there are still undecided voters. The choice is pretty orange-and-white.

The experts said in order to win, Hillary Clinton had to project an image of competence, experience, wisdom, health, and vitality, without coming off as angry, bookish, or overbearing. Donald Trump had to not mention his [genitals].

This was expected to be the most-watched debate ever. The ratings were expected to rank up with the finale of "Cheers," the finale of "M.A.S.H." Makes sense, in a way this election feels like the series finale of America.

According to Forbes magazine, Donald Trump's wealth is down $800 million from last year. He's only worth $3.7 billion now, and I'll tell you something, Mexico is going to pay for it.

But the good news is, while his net worth may be down, his self-worth is at an all-time high.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump has a new scandal to deal with today. According to Newsweek, in 1998 he spent $68,000 on a business venture in Cuba. Which was illegal because of the embargo. Trump, of course, denied the allegations. He said there's no such place as Cuba.

Remember when Mitt Romney almost had to drop out of the race because he put his dog on the top of the car? They were simpler times.
