Clooney, the self-appointed “statesman” of the moron capital of the world, has embarked on a campaign to bring a flood of hostile invaders to our shores — more, much more than the obscene number Obama has already promised.
A beleaguered Angela Merkel got unexpected A-list backing for her controversial refugee policy yesterday (FRI) in the shape of actor George Clooney and his wife, Amal. “Germany is taking on a great responsibility; it’s very difficult politically for her,” Mr Clooney told reporters ahead of the meeting, adding:“I absolutely agree with her”.
Also present was David Miliband, the former Labour foreign secretary, in his capacity as president of the International Rescue Committee, a New York-based refugee charity. Mrs Clooney, a human-rights laywer, is Lebanese by birth, and Mr Clooney says she has given him a new perspective of the suffering in the region. But that wasn’t enough.
