Two women tried to rob a senior citizen, things turned out poorly for them!

Hot Air.com ^ | September 28, 2015 | Matt Vespa

An Oregon man was bound by home invaders, but was able to break free and grab his gun, which possibly saved his life. Fox 12 Oregon reportedthat two women tied the senior citizen to a chair, where they then proceeded to rob him:
One of the suspects, identified as 50-year-old Sheila Clark of Coos Bay, then took off in the man’s Chevrolet Blazer, according to deputies, while the second suspect, 27-year-old Michelle Taylor of Crescent City, California, stayed behind to guard him.
Police located the vehicle at McKay’s Market in Gold Beach and then found Clark in the store. She was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Multnomah County and faces additional charges of robbery, coercion, burglary, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and theft.
In the meantime, investigators said the man who was tied up was able to free himself. He grabbed a handgun and pointed it at Taylor, the sheriff’s office said, and she ran away from the home.
These ladies obviously messed with the wrong guy, who exercised his Second Amendment rights, and was able to protect himself. Fox 12 added that Taylor is still at a large.
There have been other instances where the elderly had to exercise their Second Amendment rights to defend themselves. In Athens, Alabama, three people, one male, two females, were arrested for robbing a 74-year old man last week. AL News reported that a friend of the victim came over to his residence with two women he didn’t know; one of them asked if she could borrow $25. The elderly man did not fork over the money, as he did not know this woman. Later that day, the same two women returned with another man, who wanted to take his clothes line for scrap metal. That’s where the situation turned violent:
The victim said he refused to give it to him, and the male grabbed him around the neck and told him to “tell them where the rest of the money was or he was going to hurt him bad.” The women allegedly started searching his home for his money.
“The victim said he reached inside his pocket and pulled out his pistol and pointed it at the male’s face and pulled the trigger. The victim said the pistol didn’t fire,” Johnson said. “About the same time, one of the females yelled, ‘He’s got a gun,’ and everyone ran out of his residence.”
The victim said that he was missing $320 from the incident.
Given how the elderly are easy targets for such felonious acts by more unscrupulous characters in our society, it shouldn’t shock us that more and more seniors are becoming gun owners.

The Establishment’s Lies Are Catching Up (fun flashback from exactly one month ago!)

conservativereview.com ^ | 8/28/15 | Daniel Horowitz

They had it all. The GOP party bosses appeared to be winning every legislative and electoral battle with conservatives. After beating back almost every primary challenge in 2014 and after passing one liberal bill after another with the support of Democrats, the elite technocrats and cronies within the party were high-fiving and slapping each other’s backs over their successfully crushing of the tea party.
Except – they never won anything. It was all an illusion. And in fact, their temporary victories set the stage for an irrevocable defeat in the long-run.
Last cycle, in my previous job, I was heavily involved in recruiting primary candidates to run against the phony Republican political class. The most striking lesson throughout the election season was that not a single establishment Republican would run on the veracity of their views – the ones they espouse and pursue in Washington. They co-opted all of our talking points on the core issues while often accusing the conservative candidates of being ideologically impure. In addition, they used their superior money, resources, and talent to bury the upstart candidates – most of whom had only rudimentary campaign resources and novice staff – before the candidates could even define themselves.
The bravado from the GOP establishment was only emboldened by the smashing victory over the Democrats in the general election. At the time, verses from Psalms (10: 5-6, 10) came to mind:

'Beyond Belief': Obama Moves to Close Last US Uranium Plant

Newsmax. ^ | 28 Sep 2015 | David A. Patten

The Obama administration plans to close the last remaining American-owned uranium enrichment facility in the United States, even as it moves forward on a controversial nuclear deal with Iran that permits the Islamic Republic to conduct ongoing and significant uranium enrichment.
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has informed Centrus Energy it will end the American Centrifuge project in Piketon, Ohio, on Sept. 30. Notices have been issued to some 235 workers that their jobs are in jeopardy.
This is beyond belief," Rep. Brad Wenstrup, R-Ohio, responded in a statement. "While this administration is greenlighting uranium enrichment in Iran and legitimizing 6,000 Iranian centrifuges, they're shutting down domestic production here in America."
Wenstrup called the closure decision "a dangerous threat to our national security."
In its announcement that it will shutter American Centrifuge, the DOE announced the enrichment technologies developed at Piketon may be transferred to the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
As recently as 20 years ago, the United States produced nearly 50 percent of the global supply of enriched uranium. Today, however, U.S. production accounts for only about 10 percent of the global supply, with Russia, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Holland producing the bulk of the world's enriched uranium.
cuts in U.S. enrichment capability are "potentially causing" U.S. nuclear plants to become dependent on foreign fuel sources. U.S. enriched uranium also plays an important role in powering U.S. Navy submarines and aircraft carriers.

State Department says classified material on Hillary's home-brew server was so sensitive that...

Daily Mail ^ | 9/28/15

State Department says classified material on Hillary's home-brew server was so sensitive that the safe it gave her lawyer to store the emails wasn't secure enough!

The State Department has told Senate investigators that it didn't provide Hillary Rodham Clinton's lawyer with a secure-enough method to read now-highly classified material from her homebrew email server because it didn't anticipate that the messages would be deemed so secret.

In July, State Department officials installed a safe at the office of attorney David Kendall after the government determined some of Clinton's emails may have contained classified information.

But it said last week the safe wasn't suitable for so-called top secret, sensitive compartmented information, known as TS/SCI, which the government has said was found in some messages.

Assistant Secretary of State Julia Frifield wrote to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles Grassley on Sept. 22 that 'while the safe was suitable for up to [top secret] information, it was not approved for TS/SCI material' because the material wasn't held in a facility set up for discussing highly secret information, known as a SCIF, or sensitive compartmented information facility.
