'I Love My Soldier' Bumper Sticker Sparks Hate-Filled Note From Stranger!

CafeMom ^ | 7-16-14 | Michele Zipp
Many people put stickers on their cars that show something about them. Ellen Wilson of Savannah, Georgia, has an "I Love My Soldier" bumper sticker on her car to show her support for her fiance in the military. This sticker apparently enraged someone so much that they left a threatening note on Wilson's windshield while she was shopping inside her local Target store. The note, which was unsigned, was clearly written by a person who was very angry -- it's a full-on rant with an underlined word and an expletive. It also contained a threat saying she was lucky he or she didn't slash her tires. There's more. The letter read: So I noticed your 'I love my soldier' decal. I’m sure he is your 'hero' too right? I feel really bad for you and how blind you must be to what is really going on in this country. First off he is NOT your hero. Your 'man' is a pawn being used in the immoral game of wholesale murder. If you're aware of the real reasons America goes to war (corporate profits) and the role 'soldiers' play in making such immoral acts possible. The last thing you would label a soldier is a hero. There is nothing heroic about blindly following immoral orders from a undeserved paycheck, especially when such orders involve the unnecessary murder of others!!! It’s people like you and your 'soldier' who are destructing our country, shame on you bitch! You’re lucky I didn’t slash your damn tires!! The person who wrote this letter is certainly entitled to their opinion. But that's not what should be the focus here. The issue is that a stranger left a note with a threat in it on a person's windshield who they presumably didn't know. Soldiers, and those who love them, are people too and do many things beyond serving our country. We all deserve respect. The author doesn't know Wilson's stance on anything -- all that is known is that she loves her soldier like the bumper sticker said. The person who penned this letter should instead take this anger and use it in a better way -- write to the President, start a blog -- but don't attack a stranger in the form of an unsigned cowardly note calling her a bitch and threatening to slash her tires. More from The Stir: Soldier's Disrespectful 'Selfie' Gets Her in Major Trouble Despite it all, Wilson told WTVM that while she is shocked someone would do this, she isn't mad. She respects those who have a different opinion than she does, and she wouldn't attack someone else over it. She has, however, removed the bumper sticker at the request of her fiance, which was probably a good idea, especially since this issue has gone to the media. She shouldn't be the target for anyone else's hate

Homosexual movement and Planned Parenthood push to pass radical bills targeting children.

massresistance.org ^ | 07/30/2014 | n/a
This week ends the “formal sessions” of the Legislature for the year, wrapping up on midnight Thursday, July 31. Ther last formal House sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. (After that, we’re all basically safe until next year!) But as usual, special interests are pushing hard to get their favorite bills – especially ones that have been languishing -- pushed through before that deadline. There are two bills that pro-family forces have held off so far, but which the radical lobbies are now making a big last-minute effort to pass. It is very crucial to stop these! We need everyone’s help -– even if you don’t live in Massachusetts. Bill #1: H 3907 – Would ban therapy for youth on homosexual issues This is a terrible bill that the national homosexual movement has been attempting to pass around the country. It would ban counseling for youth under 18 concerning sexual-orientation or sexual-identity issues. This could cause horrific problems for innocent, vulnerable youth -- many of whom were molested or experienced some sort of sexual trauma and who need professional help to heal and properly cope. Children and teenagers who desperately want and need counseling would be denied it if this were to become law. You may recall back in June when MassResistance activists successfully derailed it when it was about to go to the House floor. Instead, it was dumped into the House Ways and Means Committee, which usually means it’s done for the year. But homosexual activists are lobbying the committee to get it out this week. As a result, the committee has told us that they’re considering bringing it back to life any day now. H 3793 – Planned Parenthood’s bill that would force homosexuality and abortion “education” into schools. Getting this passed is Planned Parenthood’s major goal for the year. They call it “An act relative to healthy youth.” It is just the opposite. Here is Planned Parenthood’s web page to help their people lobby for this. This bill would force all schools to teach sexuality, birth control, abortion issues, homosexual and transgender issues, and similar subjects, in grades K-12, according to the “Massachusetts comprehensive health framework” – a document written by radical activists for the Department of Education. Right now, using that document is only voluntary for schools. This law would make it mandatory. Even worse, this bill also re-writes – and waters down -- the current Parental Notification Law, which we worked so hard to pass back in 1995! This bill is also in the Ways and Means Committee, and could be brought back any day. Please call or email the Ways and Means Committee immediately! Everyone's help is needed! Please tell that Committee in no uncertain terms why those two bills – H3907 and H3793 -- must not go forward!! You can call the Ways and Means Committee at: 617-722-2990. You can also email the Chairman, Rep. Brian Dempsey, at Brian.Dempsey@mahouse.gov We have been told that he reads all of his emails. Let's stop these!!!

More VA employees said they were told to falsify data!

CNN ^ | July 29, 2014 | Curt Devine, Meredith Turk and Scott Bronstein, CNN Investigations

Roughly half the schedulers at multiple Veterans Affairs hospitals said they received instructions from supervisors to falsify data and hide the true time it took patients to be seen by a doctor after making an appointment, new details from an internal VA audit show.
Schedulers said supervisors directed them to manipulate information so their centers could meet performance goals, which would help top officials get bonuses, according to documents obtained by CNN.
The new information also provided to Congress this week includes updates from specific VA hospitals that were not included in an internal audit released last month by the embattled agency.
The ongoing saga involves multiple investigations into delayed care, potentially with deadly results, alarming management shortcomings and a culture that was said to have compromised the mission of providing prompt and effective medical care to millions of veterans, some of them returning soldiers from Iraq and Afghanistan.

Obama: Troll Hard With a Vengeance

Townhall.com ^ | 7-30-2014 | Ben Shapiro

This week, as I have been predicting for months, President Barack Obama announced that he would be considering unprecedented executive action to provide legal status for millions of illegal immigrants. His goal is not to solve the immigration crisis -- you don't grant legal status to 5 million illegal immigrants, then leave the back door wide open if you're interested in solving the problem. His goal is not to help illegal immigrants -- he instead leaves them in limbo by granting them temporary work permits, rather than blanket amnesty.
His goal is trolling.
Trolling is a practice whereby a person takes a deliberately indefensible position simply to draw passionate excess from an opponent. That is Obama's goal here: He hopes for extreme language, impassioned opposition and eventually, impeachment.
This administration is hungry for impeachment. While no Republican leader in Congress has given even a smidgen of credibility to impeachment talk, the Obama administration has been fundraising off impeachment rumors. Last Friday, the White House said that it was not dismissing the possibility of a House impeachment; senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer said that Obama "would not discount the possibility." Two weeks ago, Obama brought up the possibility of impeachment in order to mock it to his supporters. As Politico noted, "Who's talking about impeachment? Barack Obama."
Joe Trippi, a Democratic consultant, explained why Democrats love impeachment talk: "The more they talk about it, the more it has a red hot effect on their base. So if you can get the temperature just right, you're turning out all your base voters, and Democrats don't take it seriously, and it's a good year for you. If that stove gets just a little too hot, and you lose control of it, you're going to have every Democrat on the planet turning out to stop it."
Obama trolls because he recognizes that trends cut against Democrats in 2014. If he believed that Democrats were well-positioned to win back the House of Representatives, he would threaten executive action and then call on Americans to give his party a majority. Instead, he seeks to gin up outrage on the right and enthusiasm on the left. And he'll use the lives of millions of Americans and non-Americans to do it. It's a desperation play, but it's his only play.
That's because Obama has no capacity for compromise. His strategy has always been simple: govern when you have a majority; campaign when you don't. And so, for the last several years, he's spent significantly more time doing fundraisers than being president -- and even when he's being president, he's simply setting up the next stop in his endless campaign.
So what should conservatives do? First off, they should stop talking impeachment. It's a waste of time and effort. It serves no purpose. It is not principled to talk impeachment; it is idiotic. There are zero Democrats in the Senate who would vote to convict Obama and few Republicans.
Second, conservatives should point out that Obama does not have the country's best interests in mind. He does not care about the fate of illegal immigrants -- if he did, he'd stop incentivizing children to travel thousands of miles in the hands of coyotes, then offering uncertainty as to their status, incentivizing thousands more to do the same. He obviously does not care about the political climate of the country -- if he did, he'd stop manipulating and start governing.
Finally, conservatives should ignore Obama. His rhetoric is unimportant. It is a distraction. They should focus instead on his actions, which are deliberately designed to undermine the country for his own political gain.

Israel TV Leaks Damning Transcript Of Obama-Netanyahu Phone Call

zerohedge ^

Barack Obama: I demand that Israel agrees to an immediate, unilateral ceasefire and halt all offensive activities, in particular airstrikes.
Benjamin Netanyahu: And what will Israel receive in exchange for a ceasefire?
BO: I believe that Hamas will cease its rocket fire — silence will be met with silence.
BN: Hamas broke all five previous ceasefires. It’s a terrorist organization dedicated to the destruction of Israel.
BO: I repeat and expect Israel to stop all its military activities unilaterally. The pictures of destruction in Gaza distance the world from Israel’s position.
BN: Kerry’s proposal was completely unrealistic and gives Hamas military and diplomatic advantages.
BO: Within a week of the end of Israel’s military activities, Qatar and Turkey will begin negotiations with Hamas based on the 2012 understandings, including Israel’s commitment to removing the siege and restrictions on Gaza.
BN: Qatar and Turkey are the biggest supporters of Hamas. It’s impossible to rely on them to be fair mediators.
BO: I trust Qatar and Turkey. Israel is not in the position that it can choose its mediators.
BN: I protest because Hamas can continue to launch rockets and use tunnels for terror attacks –
BO: (interrupting Netanyahu) The ball’s in Israel’s court, and it must end all its military activities.
One can quickly see why the US would quickly disavow any credibility of this report: after all it wouldn't look very good for the leader of the free world if the leader of another state, one which on top of it all is reliant on the former for continued military and economic support, flat out rejected what amounted to a demand from the US. As expected the denial was prompt with the US administration calling the quotations "fabrications", "shocking", and "disappointing"

Ted Cruz’s nerve to blame Democrats [columnist runs interference for Obama and Reid - fails]

Washington Post ^ | July 29, 2014 | Ruth Marcus

The Texas Republican gave an interview to NBC’s Kelly O’Donnell the other day, during which he was asked about political dysfunction in Washington. Without a trace of irony, embarrassment or self-awareness, Cruz placed the blame for political dysfunction solely on Democrats.
[SNIP]
Agreed, the president’s dismissive balking at a border visit — he disdained a mere “photo op” — was dumb, if only because it offered ammunition to Cruz and company....
....Second is the current crisis on the southwestern border. There is a fair criticism that the administration waited too long to respond to the flood of unaccompanied minors. But the.....
[SNIP]
This brings me to Republicans’ legitimate gripe, with Senate Majority Leader Reid’s near-absolute refusal to permit Republican amendments (or Democratic amendments, for that matter) to come up for debate. Republicans have been able to offer just 12 in the last year.......
