Judicial Watch Obtains New Documents Showing IRS Targeting Came Directly From Washington D.C.crime ^ | Katie Pavlich
New documents obtained and released through a Judicial Watch lawsuit show the targeting of tea party and conservative groups came directly out of Washington D.C., not a rogue IRS office in Cincinnati. On July 6, 2012, former Director of the IRS Rulings and Agreements Division and current Manager of Exempt Organizations Guidance Holly Paz sent an email to IRS Attorney Steven Grodnitzky asking for an explanation of how tea party group applications were being handled. Grodnitzky responded by confirming the cases were being handled in Washington. "EOT is working the Tea party applications in coordination with Cincy. We are developing a few applications here in DC and providing copies of our development letters with the agent to use as examples in the development of their cases. Chip Hull [another lawyer in IRS headquarters] is working these cases in EOT and working with the agent in Cincy, so any communication should include him as well. Because the Tea party applications are the subject of an SCR [Sensitive Case Report], we cannot resolve any of the cases without coordinating with Rob," Grodnitzky wrote. When the IRS targeting scandal broke last year, officials in Washington immediately pinned the blame on the Cincinnati office. This documentation proves not only that direction was coming out of Washington, but that Washington instructed Cincinnati about how to handle tea party applications. A new email from Lois Lerner also details how BOLO lists (be on the look out) were specifically created for tea party groups or groups with issues related to government spending, debt, taxes and "how the country is being run." "Because the BOLO only contained a brief reference to "Organizations involved with the Tea Party movement applying for exemption under 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4)" in June 2011, the EO Determinations manager asked the manager of the screening group, John Shafer [IRS Cincinnati field office manager], what criteria were being used to label cases as "tea party " cases. ("Do the applications specify/state ' tea party'? If not, how do we know applicant is involved with the tea party movement?") The screening group manager asked his employees how they were applying the BOLO's short –hand reference to "tea party." His employees responded that they were including organizations meeting any of the following criteria as falling within the BOLO's reference to "tea party" organizations: "1. 'Tea Party', 'Patriots' or '9/12 Project' is referenced in the case file. 2. Issues include government spending, government debt and taxes. 3. Educate the public through advocacy/legislative activities to make America a better place to live. 4. Statements in the case file that are critical of the how the country is being run. . . " Lerner wrote on April 2, 2013. "So, we believe we have provided information that shows that no one in EO "developed" the criteria. Rather, staff used their own interpretations of the brief reference to "organizations involved with the Tea Party movement," which was what was on the BOLO list." Judicial Watch also found the IRS put red and orange alert symbols on tea party issues for heightened awareness. Here are two slides from a "Heightened Awareness Presentation" used at the IRS. Further, documents show the IRS responded to "intense" requests from Democrat Senator Carl Levin to come down on conservative tax exempt groups in an effort to get rid of them, specifically the groups working against his reelection campaign. Emails released by Judicial Watch last month show former head of taxpayer groups Lois Lerner was in contact with the Department of Justice about the potential criminal prosecution of conservative groups. In her emails about DOJ, Lerner noted that putting one person from a conservative organization in jail would create and example and "shut the whole thing down."

The 10 Highest-Paying Jobs That Don’t Require A Bachelor's Degree!

Business Insider ^ | 05/14/2014 | JACQUELYN SMITH
If you think you need a bachelor's degree to have a lucrative career, think again. Yes, it's true that those with a bachelor's typically earn more than those without one — but it's certainly not always the case. A new report by the career-guidance website CareerCast found that there are plenty of high-paying jobs — including commercial pilot and registered nurse — that don't require four years of college. They do, however, require specialized training. "There's no question that college graduates with four-year degrees are very likely to earn almost $1 million more in compensation through the course of their careers," says Tony Lee, publisher of CareerCast. "However, for the many people who are unable to earn that degree because of the costs, financial obligations, or other reasons, it's still possible to have a very rewarding, challenging, fulfilling career that pays well. "These jobs offer great opportunities for those job seekers," he said. "To land one of these jobs, you'll need to compensate with good old-fashioned hard work and some post-high-school training," CareerCast evaluated 200 professions across a variety of industries and skill levels to determine the highest-paying jobs that don't require a four-year degree. It gathered data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Census Bureau, trade-association studies, and other sources.

Prepare Yourself For 'Operation American Spring' This Friday (10 Million)

DCist ^ | May 2014
Are you able to avoid the area near the White House on Friday and perhaps for much longer than that? Good, because Operation American Spring is coming to D.C. to remove President Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and other officials from office by ... well, that's not entirely clear, but it may involve a long stay. Organized by retired Army Col. Harry Riley, Operation American Spring aims to " [restore] Constitutional government, rule of law, freedom, liberty 'of the people, by the people, for the people' from despotic and tyrannical federal leadership." Also: Shutdown the government and interrupt traffic — for freedom!
  • Millions of Americans will participate.
  • American veterans and patriots are energized to end the tyranny, lawlessness, and shredding of the US Constitution.
  • Government is not the target, it is sound; corrupt and criminal leadership must be replaced.
  • Those in power could use force against unarmed, peaceful patriots exercising their constitutional rights.
  • Patriots could be harmed, but not expected.
  • There is no hope given today’s technology of secrecy for the effort nor do we want it secret.
The project will happen in three phases, with organizers expecting millions of people to " stay in D.C. as long as it takes to see Obama, Biden, Reid, McConnell, Boehner, Pelosi, and Attorney General Holder removed from office."
Will this be a cake-walk? No, it will be painful, and some people may die because the government will not be non-violent; some of us will end up in a cell, and some may be injured. If that's what it will take to save our nation, do we have any choice?
Are we in for another trucker protest bust? Or could this whole thing be a trap? Either way, if 10 million people do show up on Friday and shut down the government, that could cause some traffic issues, so stay tuned.

New Emails: Democratic Senator Pressured IRS To Target Groups

The Daily Caller ^ | 05/14/2014 | Patrick Howley
The IRS’ Washington, D.C. headquarters targeted conservative groups in part due to pressure from Democratic Sen. Carl Levin, according to emails obtained by the watchdog group Judicial Watch and reviewed by The Daily Caller. Levin, chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs’ permanent subcommittee on investigations, wrote a March 30, 2012 letter to then-IRS commissioner Douglas Shulman discussing the “urgency” of the issue of possible political activity by nonprofit applicants. Levin asked if the IRS was sending out additional information requests to applicant groups and citing an IRS rejection letter to a conservative group as an example of how the IRS should be conducting its business. A top IRS official replied that the agency could send out “individualized questions and requests.”

The Extreme Left Controls the Media

Wall Street Daily ^ | May 12, 2014 | floyd brown
Klein is a leftist journalist who had the audacity to write about his issues with the Obamacare website while working for The Washington Post. His words were immediately savaged by the farther-left blogger, Joan Walsh, who was working for Salon magazine. She penned a harsh critique, headlined: “Liberal pundit fail: Rush to attack Obamacare site only aids unhinged right.” Here’s what Walsh wrote about Klein: “Ezra Klein then picked up the cudgel, telling the crew at MSNBC’s ‘Morning Joe,’ where every Obama misstep foretells the end of his presidency, that the Health and Human Services Department is covering up a ‘massive management failure,’ because they had enough pre-launch information to know there were going to be massive problems, and neither adjusted their rollout plan or prepared the public. That’s fair, but then Klein took to Twitter and began sharing his experience [about] trying to sign up for healthcare over the phone, and complained about ‘the lack of hold music.’” Klein quickly jumped back in line after being reprimanded by Walsh. You see, nobody in the mainstream media wants to be criticized by the hard-left bloggers. And the hard-left bloggers see no wrong in Obama, thus enforcing a type of groupthink amongst their media brethren. The effectiveness of this cadre was highlighted in a recent National Journal article by James Oliphant: “Pick an issue, from the Affordable Care Act to Ukraine, to the economy, to controversies involving the Internal Revenue Service and Benghazi, and you’ll find the same voices again and again, on the web and on Twitter, giving the president cover while savaging the opposition. And typically doing it with sharper tongues and tighter arguments than the White House itself.” Under this reign of terror, right-of-center voices have just about disappeared from the mainstream media altogether.
