Ralph Nader dubs Hillary Clinton ‘a menace to the United States’!

Washington Times ^ | October 29, 2014 | Cheryl K. Chumley

Ralph Nader, a former Green Party and Independent Party presidential candidate who frequently serves as a loud critic of federal safety standards, doesn’t have much love for presumptive Democratic Party White House candidate Hillary Clinton.
When asked by a writer with We Are Change what he thought of the the former Secretary of State seeking the nation’s highest office, Mr. Nader’s reply was less than enthusiastic.
“Well, Hillary is a corporatist and a militarist,” Mr. Nader said, Raw Story reported. “Do we want another corporatist and militarist? She thinks Obama is too weak. He doesn’t kill enough people overseas. So she’s a menace to the United States of America.”
But he wasn’t done.

Ted Cruz Worth Watching for 2016

NewsMax ^ | Tuesday, 28 Oct 2014 03:46 PM

Keep a close eye on Texas Sen. Ted Cruz as a leading contender for the 2016 GOP presidential nomination, says Mark Steyn, a leading conservative commentator from Canada.
"What I like about Cruz is that he doesn't preemptively seed the ground," Steyn said Tuesday on the "Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.
"When he's asked the question that's framed from a left-wing Democrat media perspective, he doesn't accept the premise of it. He says, 'No, no, no it's this way of looking at it.'
"Whether or not he's the nominee, it should be someone like that who actually does the Thatcher-Reagan thing of not preemptively seeding ground, but demanding that people actually move closer to where they are. That's what's very strong about Cruz."

Hispanics won't save Dems from 2014 disaster!

American Thinker ^ | 10/29/2014 | Rick Moran

An interesting tidbit has emerged from yesterday's Washington Post/ABC poll that puts another nail in the coffin of the hopes of Democrats to hang on to the Senate.

By a two to one margin, Hispanics that expressed an opinion on the matter see a GOP takeover of the Senate as a "good thing." But will the Republicans draw the right inference from this?
On Tuesday, a new Washington Post/ABC News poll showed that fully half of Hispanics do not believe that it makes a difference who wins the Senate in the 2014 midterm elections. And those who care, the poll showed, heavily favored Republicans – twice as many Hispanics, in fact, thought it would be a positive if Republicans took over the Senate (30 percent) as if Democrats took over the Senate (15 percent). That’s because Hispanics think the economy stinks – 76 percent said they were negative about the economy. Overall, according to the poll, Hispanics favor Democrats over Republicans by a 44 percent to 27 percent margin.

Naturally, the Republican Party will take exactly the wrong message from this poll. Speaker of the House John Boehner said in September that immigration reform would be high on the list of priorities after the election. Party insiders are saying the same thing. The notion: if Republicans can show Hispanics that they care about immigration reform by passing a comprehensive bill, Obama will either sign it or he won’t; if he signs it, Republicans will be given the credit, and if he doesn’t, he will look as though he doesn’t care about Hispanics.

Obama White House Bothered, Bewildered and On The Ropes!

Washington Times ^ | October 27, 2014 | Wesley Pruden

The days dwindle down to a precious few, and the White House continues to be bewitched, bothered and bewildered. The gang that can’t shoot straight keeps banging away. A lot of feet at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. are riddled with holes.
The Republicans demonstrated remarkable discipline in this campaign, committing few mistakes and this time saying a minimum of silly and destructive things, standing aside while Barack Obama and his befuddled legion make their incompetence a centerpiece of the campaign. The Republicans have finally taken to heart the ancient wisdom that when your opponent is shooting himself, be kind, considerate and helpful. Stay out of his way. Since this is a Republican year — nearly all the pollsters and pundits say so — this is the week Republican candidates for the U.S. Senate should begin breaking away, opening up comfortable leads with only days to go. So far that’s not happening. The weekend polls even show some of the races tightening. Uncertainty has yet to give way to resolution. The week is young.

82-Year-Old Black Grandma Votes Republican “Because of What Democrats Have Done to My People”!

FrontPage Mag ^ | 10/29/2014 | Daniel Greenfield

Not exactly what C-SPAN expected to run right before airing someone from the Center for American Progress.
A self-described “82-year-old black senior citizen grandmother” named Joyce called C-SPAN to explain why she voted for the Republican candidate in every race on the ballot this cycle.
I voted straight Republican because I have noticed for years what the Democrat Party has done to my people,” she said. “Unemployment is higher in the black community that it is — double with unemployment than it is anywhere else.”
“There’s no way I could continue to say I’m a Christian and stay with the Democrat Party,” she continued. “They advocate the killing of babies and taking from the doers and giving to the ones sitting doing nothing.”
Clearly Joyce is…

2. Not really black
3. Suffering from false consciousness

Ebola Docs and Nurses Care About Africans, Don’t Care About Americans!

FrontPage Mag ^ | 10/29/2014 | Daniel Greenfield

We’re told ad nauseam that the medical personnel who go to Africa are heroes. And that’s fine. I have no objection to them doing their humanitarian thing and then writing a bestselling book about it.
But now that Madam Ebola is in town, it’s hard to miss the fact that these people might care about Africans, but they certainly don’t care about Americans.
The city’s first Ebola patient initially lied to authorities about his travels around the city following his return from treating disease victims in Africa, law-enforcement sources said.
Dr. Craig Spencer at first told officials that he isolated himself in his Harlem apartment — and didn’t admit he rode the subways, dined out and went bowling until cops looked at his MetroCard the sources said.
“He told the authorities that he self-quarantined. Detectives then reviewed his credit-card statement and MetroCard and found that he went over here, over there, up and down and all around,” a source said.
Spencer finally ’fessed up when a cop “got on the phone and had to relay questions to him through the Health Department,” a source said.
So he lied. He couldn’t be trusted to self-quarantine which means none of them can be. Meanwhile Ebola nurse Kaci Hickox is continuing her public tantrum and extinguishing whatever media manufactured sympathy the public had for her.
Defiant nurse Kaci Hickox vowed to break a mandatory quarantine order that would keep her inside her Maine home for much of the next three weeks.
Hickox said more appropriate measures would include self-monitoring by taking her temperature twice a day and getting medical attention if she began to show symptoms of Ebola.
“I would go back,” said Hickox. “This has been a bit of a nightmare for me but my work in Sierra Leone for four weeks was amazing and I feel privileged to have been able to help fight this battle. I do plan on going back in fact, it’s not just ‘will I,’ it’s more of a when.”
There’s a stench of egomania to Hickox’s language. She’s willing to compromise the public safety of Americans so she can have her fun while she’s stateside and then go back to Africa to feel “privileged”. For her being told to stay at home is a nightmare, but not the risk of creating an epidemic in this country.
Spencer has already proven that these people cannot be trusted. There’s no reason to trust Kaci Hickox after her obnoxious and thoughtless attitude.

The Sayings of Barack Obama

American Thinker ^ | October 28, 2014 | Ed Lasky

Herewith readers will find a voter’s guide to the midterm elections, relying entirely on the some of the more disgraceful statements made by the President of the United States over the years. Voting gives Americans a way to register their disapproval and vote out his enablers. America may not be able to impeach Obama in the House but he has already impeached himself by having done what he likes to do so much: talk.
And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.
I’m no interested in the suburbs. Suburbs bore me.
Reading these two views together leads to the conclusion that Obama disdains rural America and suburban America leaving, basically, urban areas as his sole interest. That leaves him not caring about most of America. A president is supposed to represent all Americans not favored groups.
"I believe in American exceptionalism, just as I suspect that the Brits believe in British exceptionalism and the Greeks believe in Greek exceptionalism."
Well he does seem himself as exceptional at least:
“It is very rare that I come to an event where I’m like the fifth or sixth most interesting person,” Obama joked at the Lincoln Center dinner. .
No wonder he finds a congenial playground in Hollywood.
“I think that I’m a better speechwriter than my speechwriters. I know more about policies on any particular issue than my policy directors. And I’ll tell you right now that I’m gonna think I’m a better political director than my political director.”

Obama Elected With Illegal Votes!

Judicial Watch ^ | 10/28/14 | staff

A large number of non-citizens cast ballots in U.S. elections and it’s possible that the illegal votes were responsible for President Obama’s 2008 victory, according to an in-depth academic study that confirms Judicial Watch’s assessment that foreign nationals have helped Democrats steal elections.

Non-citizens tend to favor Democrats and Obama won more than 80% of the votes of non-citizens in the 2008 sample gathered by the Cooperative Congressional Election Study (CCES), a large-scale academic survey project operated by teams of researchers from across the country. In fact, enough ineligible voters cast ballots in 2008 to conceivably account for Democratic victories in a few close elections, CCES researchers found. A respected Ivy League professor is coordinator of the CCES which has produced national sample surveys, stratified by state and type of district, in every federal election since 2006. This allows the optimal study of congressional and state races as well as an ideal setting for understanding the relationship between the congressional and presidential elections.
The CCES is an esteemed and highly respected operation that recently published shocking information, gathered from big social science survey datasets, that supports Judicial Watch’s work in this area. In 2012 JW launched the Election Integrity Project, a widespread legal campaign to clean up voter registration rolls and support election integrity measures across the country. Our investigations immediately uncovered data that proved voter rolls in a number of states—including Mississippi, Iowa, Indiana, Missouri, Texas, Florida, California and Colorado—contained the names of individuals who are ineligible to vote.
Now the CCES confirms this, specifically that large numbers of foreign nationals vote in U.S. elections. The “participation was large enough to plausibly account for Democratic victories in a few close elections,” according to a mainstream newspaper article written by two of

House Dems fear debilitating losses!

Politico ^ | Updated: 10/28/14 11:58 AM EDT | Alex Isenstadt

The political environment continues to deteriorate for House Democrats ahead of a midterm election that’s certain to diminish their ranks.
With President Barack Obama’s unpopularity hindering their candidates and Republican cash flooding into races across the country, Democrats are increasingly worried that the election will push them deep into the minority and diminish their hopes of winning back the majority in 2016 or beyond.
Looking to contain the damage, Democrats are pumping money into liberal congressional districts that were long thought to be safely in their column. Over the last several days, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has directed resources to maintain seats in Hawaii and Nevada, both of which broke sharply for the president in 2012 — an indication of just how much the terrain has shifted against the party over the past two years.
(POLITICO's polling center)
Other unexpected races are suddenly in play. Some Democrats, for example, have begun to worry about the prospects of California Rep. Lois Capps, an eight-term congresswoman who is typically a lock for reelection but who now finds herself in a competitive race against Republican Chris Mitchum, a perennial candidate and the son of the late actor Robert Mitchum. In a sign of how seriously national Democrats are taking the threat, the DCCC is making a last-minute purchase of $99,000 worth of radio advertising in the Santa Barbara area to boost Capps, according to a committee aide.
Operatives from both parties expect Republicans to net five to 10 seats, which would give them some cushion heading into what’s expected to be a much more challenging 2016. Some Republicans, trying to tamp down rising expectations of even bigger gains, point out that a recently-redistricted congressional map has dramatically narrowed the playing field of competitive districts and limited potential pick-ups.
They also caution that they have yet to put away Democrats in many races that remain close.
Still, as the election heads into the final week, it’s clear that the landscape is tilting against Democrats. Of the 30 House races seen as most likely to change hands, 23 are held by Democrats.
(Full 2014 election results)
Capps isn’t the only incumbent Democratic officials are scrambling at the last minute to defend. DCCC Chairman Steve Israel (D-N.Y.) recently coordinated a fundraising event for Rep. Dave Loebsack, a fourth-term Iowa incumbent who has recently come under barrage from GOP groups, and reached out to donors on his behalf.
On Tuesday afternoon, Israel and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi will hold a hastily-planned conference call for members to provide them with an update on the political terrain and to press them to contribute to the party’s coffers.
“There’s no question it’s a tough climate for Democrats right now but it certainly doesn’t come as a surprise,” said Emily Bittner, a DCCC spokeswoman. “Heading into the final week of the election every single Democratic incumbent is still competitive, which is drastically different from the situation in 2010.”
Party operatives say Obama is weighting down House candidates across the country. In the districts of 24 of the 30 most vulnerable Democratic incumbents, more voters say they view the president unfavorably than favorably, according to polling data conducted over the last month for party strategists and provided to POLITICO. In 10 of those 24 races, Democratic lawmakers have recently lost ground along with the president.
(POLITICO's 2014 race ratings)
The effect is particularly acute in culturally conservative bastions like West Virginia and downstate Illinois, where Democratic strategists say Reps. Nick Rahall and Bill Enyart are watching their reelection hopes fade due in large measure to Obama’s diminished standing. Republicans have tethered both incumbents to the president: One new TV ad against Enyart imagines him and Obama together on posters made famous during the president’s 2008 campaign.
“Make no mistake,” the commercial says. “The Obama-Enyart agenda is devastating to our families and bankrupting southern Illinois.”
Other House Democrats have been encumbered by subpar performances of their party’s statewide candidates. Leading that list is Iowa Senate hopeful Bruce Braley, who party operatives say is dragging down three of their congressional contenders in the state.
Money is another worry. Republican groups have poured cash into House races in the final weeks, erasing a once formidable Democratic financial advantage. Since July 1, GOP outfits have spent $99.4 million, while Democrats have invested $81.9 million, according to campaign filings.
In many instances, Republicans are spending money to put races in play that had long been considered safe for Democrats. American Action Network, a national group with ties to House Speaker John Boehner, has begun airing TV commercials in blue districts in Hawaii and eastern Iowa.
The maneuvering has prompted Democratic groups to yank money from districts they’re trying to seize from Republicans in order to protect seats they already control. Over the past several weeks, the DCCC has pulled funds from top recruits in Colorado and Virginia and begun running TV ads in two eastern Iowa districts, both of which Obama won in 2012.
On Monday, House Speaker John Boehner visited the Iowa districts to campaign for GOP hopefuls Rod Blum, a software company owner seeking the seat Braley is vacating to run for Senate, and Mariannette Miller-Meeks, an opthamologist waging a campaign for the seat Loebsack occupies. A poll released on Monday showed Blum climbing to a narrow 43 percent to 42 percent lead over his Democratic opponent, state Rep. Pat Murphy.
“All year,” said Cory Fritz, a Boehner spokesman, “the speaker has been emphasizing the importance of making the most of every opportunity.”

Obamacare sends health premiums skyrocketing by as much as 78 percent!

The Washington Times ^ | October 28, 2014 | Valerie Richardson

Covering pre-existing conditions and ‘essential benefits’ raising insurance plan costs
The Affordable Care Act was supposed to make health care more affordable, but a newly released study of insurance policies before and after Obamacare shows that average premiums have skyrocketed, for some groups by as much as 78 percent.
Average insurance premiums in the sought-after 23-year-old demographic rose most dramatically, with men in that age group seeing an average 78.2 percent price increase before factoring in government subsidies, and women having their premiums rise 44.9 percent, according to a report by HealthPocket scheduled for release Wednesday.
The study, which was shared Tuesday with The Washington Times, examined average health insurance premiums before the implementation of Obamacare in 2013 and then afterward in 2014. The research focused on people of three ages — 23, 30 and 63 — using data for nonsmoking men and women with no spouses or children.
The premium increases for 30-year-olds were almost as high as for 23-year-olds — 73.4 percent for men and 35.1 percent for women — said the study, titled “Without Subsidies Women & Men, Old & Young Average Higher Monthly Premiums with Obamacare.”
“It’s very eye-opening in terms of the transformation occurring within the individual health insurance market,” said Kev Coleman, head of research and data at HealthPocket, a nonpartisan, independently managed subsidiary of Health Insurance Innovations in Sunnyvale, California.

Mainstream media shocked latest polls show GOP pulling away!

The Washington Times ^ | October 26, 2014 | Joseph Curl

The mainstream media made a hearty go of it, attempting for the last few weeks to portray the Nov. 4 election as a toss-up. But poll after poll is now showing those reports to be nothing more than a barrel of red herrings: Republicans are solidly in the lead with just more than a week to go.
Over the past several weeks, a dozen stories or more have painted the Colorado race between Republican Cory Gardner and Democrat Mark Udall for the U.S. Senate seat there as neck-and-neck. CNN and the mainstream newspapers have repeatedly said the race is too close to call.
But as FiveThirtyEight’s Harry Enten tweeted at last week’s end, “There hasn’t been a live interview non-partisan sponsored poll showing Udall leading in Colorado in 6 weeks.” In fact,, which keeps track of all polls, said, “Gardner has now led in every poll but one since mid-September. His lead is likely ‘real’; Udall probably needs a late break or for the polls to be simply incorrect to pull this out.”(continued)

Forget the Hype: Congressional Incumbents Coasting to Victory!

Radix News ^ | October 29, 2014 | John Stossel

I’m told that the public is “angry” at today’s politicians. Eighty-two percent disapprove of the job Congress is doing. So will Tuesday’s election bring a big shakeup?
No. Congressional reelection rates never drop below 85 percent.
The last big “wave” election was 1994, when Democrats lost control of both houses. The media called it a “revolution,” and the late Peter Jennings from ABC likened Americans to 2-year-olds throwing a tantrum.
Even that year, the reelection rate was 90 percent.
Matt Kibbe of the group FreedomWorks and Hadley Heath Manning of Independent Women’s Forum came on my show to say they don’t believe that this will be the year voters “throw the bums out.”
Incumbents have all sorts of built-in advantages, said Manning: “Once you’re in office, you have network ties, usually with a big party organization, usually with other officeholders. You have ties to donors who have helped you in your previous round of fundraising.”
In the U.S., she says, “we don’t have kings, (but) we still have political dynasties.”

Oh My: Study Reveals Significant Number of Non-Citizens Vote in US Elections!

Townhall ^ | Oct 27, 2014 | Guy Benson

Electoral cheating is not the "myth" the Left pretends it is
More than 14 percent of non-citizens in both the 2008 and 2010 samples indicated that they were registered to vote.
Because non-citizens tended to favor Democrats (Obama won more than 80 percent of the votes of non-citizens in the 2008 CCES sample), we find that this participation was large enough to plausibly account for Democratic victories in a few close elections. Non-citizen votes could have given Senate Democrats the pivotal 60th vote needed to overcome filibusters in order to pass health-care reform and other Obama administration priorities in the 111th Congress. Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) won election in 2008 with a victory margin of 312 votes. Votes cast by just 0.65 percent of Minnesota non-citizens could account for this margin. It is also possible that non-citizen votes were responsible for Obama’s 2008 victory in North Carolina. Obama won the state by 14,177 votes, so a turnout by 5.1 percent of North Carolina’s adult non-citizens would have provided this victory margin.
That's…a really big deal. Democrats needed every last Senate seat they won in 2008 in order to overcome a GOP filibuster on Obamacare. Without Franken's seat (or Mark Begich's ill-gotten seat), the bill would never have passed -- as written, or at all. Previous studies presented serious evidence that Franken's margin in Minnesota was furnished by felons illegally voting; this new data suggests that ineligible non-citizens could have put him over the top. Pick your poison. Both bodies of evidence, by the way, showed that non-citizens and convicted felons overwhelmingly support Democrats.

Prepare for Scott Walker 2016; If He Wins Re-election, He's Our Man!

The American Spectator ^ | Oct. 27, 2014 | Aaron Goldstein

With a little more than a week remaining before the mid-term elections, most conservatives are focusing upon a dozen Senate races, as Republicans are expected to gain control of the upper chamber.
But the contest that piques my interest the most is the gubernatorial race in Wisconsin, where Republican Governor Scott Walker is locked in a dogfight with Democratic challenger Mary Burke. Walker’s re-election is very much in doubt, despite the accomplishments of his first term: putting Wisconsin’s fiscal house back in order, reforming the state’s collective bargaining process, and giving local communities greater control over their affairs.
According to a Marquette Law School poll released on October 15, Walker and Burke are in a dead heat, with 47 of likely voters preferring each. The dial hasn’t moved much since. Exactly a week later, a Rasmussen poll had Burke up by one; the following day, a St. Norbert College/Wisconsin Public Radio poll had Walker up by one. A quintessential toss-up.
Should Walker prevail, he will have, in the space of four years, outlasted the occupation of the state legislature by union and other left-wing activists, survived a recall election—the first governor in U.S. history to do so—and earned a second term in his own right, all while governing as a conservative in one of the bluest states in the nation. Liberal organizations have dedicated more time and money to beating Walker than any other Republican, and yet Walker has taken everything these liberal groups have thrown his way and still come out on top.

If it harms America, it's good for Democrats! ^ | 10/27/2014 | DENNIS PRAGER

In almost every area of life, the better things are, the worse it is for the Democratic Party. Democrats have placed themselves in the role of benefiting from social and moral dysfunction.
And they have embraced this role. The Democratic Party cultivates singlehood, black anger at America, Latino separatism, victimhood, group grievance and dependency on government. Nor is this the only way in which Democrats do terrible damage to America. They are also tearing America apart, setting women against men (with such falsehoods as “the war on women,” “the rape culture” at American colleges and the nonsense that “women are paid less for the same work”), blacks against whites, and Latinos against other Americans. They do this because the less women see men as an enemy, the less blacks regard whites as an enemy, and the more Latinos see themselves as Americans, the worse it is for Democrats.
The Democratic Party has been become a wholly destructive force in this country. Even though you may not intend to, if you vote for any Democrat, you contribute to that damage.

Even Lefty Comics Now Going After Obama!

Radix News ^ | October 28, 2014 | David Limbaugh

Do you all realize what a major deal it is that liberal comics are now openly ridiculing President Obama — and not just for his mannerisms and the like but based on his abject policy failures?
In his first few years and beyond, liberal funnymen sometimes complained that Obama was so flawless that he didn’t provide them any material.
Of course, we knew at the time that this otherworldly caricature of Obama was wholly mythical, but it was nonetheless very real in the eyes of its liberal beholders. They regarded him with a quasi-idolatrous zeal — almost as though it would be sacrilegious to criticize, much less mock, him.
But on “Saturday Night Live,” among other shows, the comics have grown increasingly derisive. In the most recent episode, the Obama character lamented that a New York doctor had been diagnosed with Ebola. He said: “Now, some people want to criticize the way our administration has handled this crisis, and it’s true we made a few mistakes early on. But, I assure you, it was nowhere near as bad as how we handled the ISIS situation. I mean, our various Secret Service mishaps or the scandals of the IRS and NSA. And I don’t know if you guys remember, but the Obamacare website had some pretty serious problems, too. In fact, if you look at all the stuff that’s happened in my second term, this whole Ebola thing is probably one of my greatest accomplishments.”
Folks, this would be bad for the least politically correct president ever, but it’s devastatingly brutal for the most politically correct president in the history of the universe.

‘Bad, Bad Science’: Weather Channel Founder Says Climate Change Is a Myth

Fox News Insder ^ | October 27, 2014 10:45 pm | (The Kelly File)

Sarah Palin Compares Climate Change 'Hysteria' To Eugenics!
