1-800 # To Let Anheuser Busch Know What You Think Of The NFL

Comment Section Of GB Packer FB Page ^ | 9/230/17

Turns out that many businesses who advertise during the NFL games are
beginning to realize that the fans are real upset. I mean, who would have
thought that even Anheuser Busch would begin feeling the wrath of the fans?

So they decided put out this toll free number for anyone who wants to express
their opinion on what they think of the way multi-millionaire players and
multi-billionaire owners of the NFL are protesting during the national Anthem.

If your angry, then call Budweiser and let them have it. I did, and I
will admit it made me feel better. For a few moments anyway. Who knows
if it will make a difference, but at least the phone call is free.

"The Man Without A Country"....The NFL should heed.

 by JLAGRAYFOX

"The Man Without A Country", a short story, written by Edward Everett Hale, in 1863, as the Civil War was raging It is about an Army officer that has committed treason during the Revolutionary War, and has shouted out, before sentencing after being convicted, that he wishes, no longer, to hear any mention of the United States of America.

He gets his wish as the judge sentences him to life in prison to be served aboard only USA, navy ships that never touch the shores of the USA. He comes to love the USA...but no one will talk to him about her. On his death bed many years later, he invites a navy sailor into his jail room, who finds the American Flag draped around a photo of George Washington and a painting of an American Eagle with a lightening bolt flashing over its head. A friend comes to his room and sits on the bed telling him the stories and progress of his now, beloved USA!!! Every NFL, NBA, MLB "America Hater> should read this magnificent short story...that motivated the UNION cause of ending slavery and keeping the USA united. and...these fools should also read over & over again....Lincoln's magnificent, Gettysburg Address.
Today....the NFL, the NBA and the MLB are all men without a country, IMHO...shame on everyone of them!!! Pathetic, Hateful, Obamabot/Clintonite Human Beings. God forgive them, for I certainly won't!!!

Stop Saying Football Players Have a ‘Constitutional Right’ to Kneel During the National Anthem.

Intellectual Takeout ^ | September 26, 2017 | Jon Miltimore

Teresa Stanton Collett, a professor at the University of St. Thomas School of Law, sets the record straight.

Football was once the place Americans could go to get away from anxiety, division, and politics.
No more. Colin Kaepernick’s decision to kneel for the National Anthem during the 2016 season has set off a chain reaction of sorts, one that is seriously threatening America’s pastime.
Facing the prospect of being cut by the 49ers prior to the 2017 season, Kaepernick opted out of his contract with the team. When he didn’t land on another NFL team, ESPN, Bleacher Report, and other media spent months accusing NFL owners of blackballing the quarterback for taking a stand on social justice (and largely ignoring facts that didn’t support the narrative).
This prompted more protests, which precipitated America’s commander-in-chief to weigh in on the topic—which incited an even greater media frenzy and accusations that the president was exploiting the issue for personal gain. (He probably is, but it’s rich hearing such accusations from ESPN, who has stoked the divisive Kaepernick story for months.)
Whether or not one approves of NFL players taking a knee or sitting during the National Anthem, there is one thing everyone agrees on: they have the right to do so.
“Free speech, which is enshrined right there in the 1st Amendment, is not something that you only get at certain times,” said CNN’s editor-at-large Chris Cillizza. “You get it all the time. It's literally a founding principle of this nation.”
Numerous NFL players and supporters voiced similar sentiments, including reigning Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady, a friend and supporter of the president.
“It's part of our democracy,” said the Patriots quarterback. “As long as it is done in a peaceful, respectful way, that is what our country has been all about.”
There’s just one problem. The 1st Amendment doesn’t work that way. Anyone who’s ever bothered to read the U.S. Constitution knows that the 1st Amendment begins with, “Congress shall make no law ….”
But don’t take it from me. This is what legal scholar Teresa Stanton Collett had to say on the subject:
“I don't watch football. I don't care about football. But I do care about constitutional literacy. Please stop saying football players have first amendment rights to disregard the direction of their private employers while engaged in privately sponsored activities -- which is what NFL football games are,” said Collett, a professor at the University of St. Thomas School of Law. “They have no more constitutional protection for their expressive activities than I do for mine at my private Catholic university. Any 'rights' they have are based on their contracts and employment law.”
Collett points to the case of Kelvin Cochran as an example of how few protections employees actually have. Cochran, a fire chief from Georgia, was terminated after a local councilman learned that he had published a book on faith that contained a few pages expressing support for the orthodox Christian view on sexual relations.
As private employees, NFL players have even fewer protections than Cochran. (Cillizza atually acknowledges this fact later in his CNN piece: “Yes, the NFL is a private association made up of 32 team owners. And, yes, as such, they have the right to fire or penalize an employee who, they believe, engages in conduct unbecoming to the team.”)

It’s also worth pointing out what the NFL’s game operations manual says on the subject:
“The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem.
During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking. The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition. It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses.”
None of this, of course, means that teams should fine or fire players who decline to stand for the National Anthem. In my opinion, there is something unseemly and even authoritarian about compelling people to stand to honor a flag. But it’s also worth pointing out this is the same NFL that fines players for wearing the wrong color socks or bringing onto the field a towel that is not licensed by the NFL.
In any event, we should dispense with the idea that NFL players enjoy some magical constitutional right to express themselves during pre-game ceremonies. They don’t.

There's More to that Knee than Meets the Eye

Illinois Review ^ | September 28, 2017 | John F. Di Leo

Reflections on the meaning behind an NFL insult...

Professional football players started refusing to stand for the National Anthem during the 2016 season, and it began as just a trickle of weirdos like Colin Kaepernick… but by late September, 2017, hundreds of pro football players were kneeling down during the National Anthem that begins the game, or even refusing to leave their locker room for it.
This is obviously an issue for football players, owners, and fans. But some have asked why non-football fans care about it at all, much as theatergoers ask why what happens in a play or movie concerns those who don’t attend, or why childless adults care what goes on in the schools.
The answer is that it matters to us all, because this is about more than a single game or a single event. It is about our culture. And in addition, it matters because this particular activity is based on, and reinforces, a number of absolutely wrong beliefs, so, the longer we tolerate this activity, the more those wrong beliefs will become entrenched.
Everything that these kneeling players believe is backward, or worse. We must correct them, or their actions will continue to reinforce this wrongheadedness across the population.
The Myth of Racist Law Enforcement
This activity – the refusal to stand for the National Anthem at a football game – began as a player’s attempt to inanely demonstrate his disapproval of the imagined crisis in law enforcement with which his political party had filled his head for years. The protests that began in Ferguson, MO and soon spread to other cities, giving birth to Black Lives Matter, the Mothers of the Movement, and other such offshoots, are all based on one belief: that black Americans are routinely abused by the criminal justice system just for being black.
It’s a lie.
In fact, black Americans are arrested for violent crimes, pursued for violent crimes, and occasionally injured or killed by police in hot pursuit after violent crimes… for one reason and one reason only: statistically, black Americans commit such crimes in higher numbers than most other demographic groups. Commit more crimes, you’ll get pursued more often. Want to stop having problems with law enforcement? Stop committing crimes.
It has nothing to do with them being black. It has to do with a community being raised in dependence on government welfare, in “families” without a working father at their head. It has to do with living in government housing, attending dangerous government schools, in neighborhoods filled with drug dealing gangs. It has to do with generational poverty, in a system that rewards sloth and punishes achievement. Put whites, Asians, or any other ethnic group in those conditions, and you’ll see similar results.
In fact, American law enforcement is on the side of law-abiding blacks, more than any other group. Our police are the ones who go into neighborhoods that the rest of us avoid, daring to try to apprehend the robbers, rapists, gang recruiters and drug dealers who terrorize black neighborhoods. Officers don’t see race; they protect the innocent victims from those who would do them harm.
Is there anyone out there who’s actively anti-black? Certainly, but it’s not the law enforcement community. It’s the Democratic Party, which rules the inner cities almost unanimously, and forces the almost-inescapable welfare state upon these communities. It’s the Democratic Party that punishes people who try to break free of public housing and food stamp dependence, forcing them to stay in the dangerous government schools, and worst of all, insists on much-too-short jail terms so that violent criminals are always returned to their communities as soon as possible to terrorize them again.
But that truth would reflect poorly on the Democrats who lead these communities, so they spread the myth, and claim that the law enforcement community is anti-black.
The First Amendment
We are told that these players are merely taking advantage of their First Amendment rights by refusing to stand for the Anthem.
It’s a lie.
This has nothing to do with the First Amendment. Nothing whatsoever.
Nobody is telling them they can't write all the op-eds they want... or give all the speeches they want to their local Rotary clubs or YMCAs... or buy commercial time to run their own ads saying whatever lying leftwing poppycock they feel like spreading.
The First Amendment protects people from fear of the federal government forbidding them from doing any of that. But nobody is denying them that right.
In fact, they're not even TRYING to do any of that.
As far as anyone knows, these players haven't even ATTEMPTED to exercise their First Amendment rights at all. All they've done is to repeatedly hijack their employers' time to publicly insult their audience, their countrymen, and their nation.
The First Amendment protects you on your own time. It doesn't let you politicize an unpolitical job in which you work for someone else. The First Amendment neither authorizes NOR bans this “kneeling” practice.
It's simply not relevant.
There’s much more to this too… and if this were indeed a First Amendment issue, we might spill some ink explaining how the government guarantees your right to buy ad time, to print newspapers, or to appear on your own time before a willing audience, but the government doesn’t guarantee you that audience. The government won’t fund your mailings or pack a hall for you to speak to. That’s all up to you.
What you do on your employer’s dime isn’t a First Amendment issue at all.
In fact, this is nothing but a hijacking.
Hijacking on the Field
Consider a plane trip.
It's perfectly legal to take classes, get a license, and fly a plane wherever you want, if you buy or rent the plane, and obey the rules set by the Air Traffic Controllers.
It's also perfectly legal to buy a seat on someone else’s plane, and go where that plane is scheduled to go.
...but it's NOT legal to buy a seat on a scheduled trip, and then FORCE the pilot to go somewhere else.
That’s hijacking.
This group of NFL players are doing exactly that. They're hired to play football, and they're now hijacking a game to make a political protest that has no business whatsoever at that event.
Now, how the National Football League deals with it is entirely up to the League. The national government has no role in this (and barring some unlikely local city council action, neither do other levels of government). The owners, the players, their broadcast partners, their often heavily taxpayer-subsidized stadium authorities, their sponsors and other marketing partners, need to work together and decide whether they would rather put an end to this quickly (it may already be too late for them), or just sit by while a renegade group of players utterly destroys their fan base and, likely, their entire industry.
Football was already in some trouble, because of the sport’s intrinsic health risks and the incredible cost of tickets… but this hijacking of the opening moments of every nationally televised game has exacerbated football’s already-challenging problems a hundredfold.
(Author's Note: Before anyone declares that this is an outrageous false equivalency... obviously I'm not saying that this is the same kind of offense as terrorists endangering a planeload of passengers. I am merely explaining that these people are taking a legitimate event and twisting it for their own purposes without the approval of either the company or its customers, and the appropriate term for that is "hijacking." - JFD)
The National Anthem
In 1814, American attorney Francis Scott Key was standing aboard a British ship (as a “guest”) during the Battle of Fort McHenry, in Baltimore harbor, during the War of 1812. Watching the battle from the perspective of an outsider, he was inspired to write a masterful poem, which was attached to an existing tune some years later. Eventually, the Star Spangled Banner became so popular as a testament to American patriotism that it was enshrined as our National Anthem.
The players who refuse to stand for the National Anthem claim to be doing so in order to object to some imperfect aspects of the country, but what they are really doing is not honorable but destructive:
Our National Anthem stands for the ideals of America. It doesn’t deny our faults – we are imperfect, as are all things on this earth – but it’s not about them. The Anthem represents the greatness of America: the vision of our Founding Fathers that still stands tall across time and space.
It has now been 230 years since the Constitutional Convention that established our current form of government. The United States of America – as a nation – represents the incarnation of both the libertarian philosophy of the Enlightenment and the best of Western Civilization, the marriage of Judeo-Christian beliefs and a practical economic system in which good, hardworking people can prosper, and be propelled as far forward as their industry and ability allow.
And as the nation represents those high themes, our National Anthem directly represents them as well.
When the National Anthem is played, whether at a sporting event or a political meeting, at a concert hall or a party convention, every American is inspired in the same way that Francis Scott Key was, over two centuries ago.
When Americans hear the Star Spangled Banner, we remember those days, long past, when the nation united to fight for independence from King George III. We remember fighting a civil war to end slavery, a world war to end national socialism, a cold war to end communism. While we didn’t have 100% success in all these efforts, we made great progress, and the brave people of our nation deserve credit for risking their lives and fortune for these worthy causes.
That’s what the National Anthem calls to mind. The soldiers and sailors who fought, the statesmen who led, the workers who struggled, the settlers who planted, the entrepreneurs who invented… the individuals and families, the missionaries and communities who crossed oceans, plains and mountain ranges to build the greatest nation on God’s green earth.
The National Anthem is inspirational, because it stands for our best – for both our greatest accomplishments and our greatest dreams, for the best of our people and the American spirit that lives within every man, woman and child who calls himself an American.
These ingrates in jerseys - these football players paid millions of dollars just to play a game – don’t realize this, and that’s not entirely their fault. Their education has been ghastly; their parents and communities have been derelict in their duty to inspire patriotism in their youth. The quality of public discourse has diminished in the past century...
…But their puppet masters do understand, all too well.
The political masterminds on the Left – the people who run BLM, Occupy, Antifa, and the rest – know exactly what they’re doing. They know that as long as the National Anthem inspires an audience to think of the greatness of America, they will have a hard time overturning it.
But if they can get Americans to unconsciously change how we see America… if they can get us to view our Flag and our Anthem, not as the symbols of the best we stand for, but rather, as the symbols of the worst that we tolerate… then they will be able to break us at last.
If our Anthem is somehow twisted... if it doesn’t stand for the 99% of police who risk their lives every day to save the jogger from the rapist, but for the 1% who sleeps through his guardianship or takes bribes from a barman… if our Anthem doesn’t stand for the workers and entrepreneurs who climb out of poverty into the middle class, but for those trapped in the welfare state… if our Anthem doesn’t stand for the millions we’ve saved from tyranny, but for the poor whom we couldn’t help…
…then the Left will have succeeded in their malicious goals at last.
The cause of the Left is to break down the American spirit, to convince the world that limited government doesn’t work, that people are evil and need to be ruled with the iron fist that only a Leftist bureaucratic state can wield.
That cause is the motivator, behind the scenes, every week as these NFL players get their marching orders.
That cause… the anti-American fervor of the Anti-American Left… is what directs these poor fools in shoulder pads and helmets to disrespect the Flag and the Anthem.
The reason our national reaction is so strong, so fierce, is that the public understands what’s going on, even if the politicians and media do not. These people - and their puppet-masters - are trying to destroy the American love of America that has welled up in our hearts for two and a half centuries.
And we must not let them win.

Packer Fans chant, USA,USA,USA, while Q/B, Rogers, Team, NFL act like fools.

 by JLAGRAYFOX

NFL had better get its act together. There is nothing to discuss. The deadbeat NFL players, "Hate America" "Lock your arms, together" has failed miserably. Packers, Q/B, Aaron Rogers earns the title of "Failed Obama Girlie Boy, Pajama Boy" as the overwhelming majority of thousands of Greenbay Packer fans rejected his request that fans lock arms to show unity with the NFL America Haters on the Packers and Chicago Bear NFL teams.
The fans simply chanted unending, loudly all night long, USA, USA, USA!!! POTUS, Trump wins big time!!!
There is only one road open for the NFL, the NBA & MLB, and the end of this silliness, hate and farce brought forth by moron, idiot and buffoon players, coaches, owners and most of all the deadbeat useless Commissioner of the NFL, Roger Goodell, who the team owners should fire immediately for being a weak sister, with no backbone to shut this farce down and fire every player that does stand and salute over his heart with his right hand as the USA flag and national anthem is played and sung!!!
I would advise the scum and vermin of the NFL that makes up the NFL...to get their useless butts onto the playing fields this coming Sunday, and act like the Americans you are. If not, then go to Canada, go to Obama, go to Clinton go to your Democrat Party and see if they bankroll like your fans and country have done, you ungrateful low life America Haters!!!

Weather service confirms a new record 64 inches of rain fell during Harvey!

Houston Chronicle ^ | 9-28-2017 | John D. Harden

The National Weather Service confirmed Wednesday that a record 64.58 inches of rain fell during Hurricane Harvey in Nederland near Beaumont during the storm’s five-day onslaught.
The city’s record rainfall is the heaviest rainfall ever logged in the U.S. during a tropical storm, breaking Hawaii's 1950 record of 52 inches. The record was captured near Jack Brooks Regional Airport.
Nederland is in Jefferson County — a county east of Houston where four people died, more than 74,000 homes were impacted and at least $73 million in damages to public property occurred.
Just a little more than a month since Harvey made landfall, weather officials now have a clearer picture of the storm’s massive force and how it impacted areas to the east. Meteorologists needed weeks to determine just which area in Houston got the most rain.
In the days after the storm, officials believed that 51.8 inches, logged by a gauge near Cedar Bayou just inside east Harris County, would be the new record. It would have broken the contiguous U.S. record for rainfall during a tropical storm.
Officials later discovered the reading was riddled with errors after realizing the storm flooded and broke the gauge.
Since then, weather officials confirmed at least seven sites with more than 51 inches.
The record would then go to Friendswood which recorded 56 inches before being snatched away by Nederland, followed by Groves with 63 inches.
Data is still being analyzed but Scott Overpeck, a NWS forecaster, said the record will probably stay in Nederland.

Four Reasons the NFL is Dead Wrong on Protests

The Revolutionary Act ^ | 9/28/17

NFL football is the most popular American sport, so popular that only two days separate the end of one weekend on Monday Night Football and the beginning of the next on Thursday Night Football. The extension from formerly just a Sunday afternoon sport has meant the National Football League has become a giant money machine for players, owners and commissioners.
But the NFL has made what may ultimately become the fatal error of becoming an outward political entity. The NFL is now a full-bore politically liberal organization that — literally — bans dissent it disagrees with but allows protests its fan base disagrees with. It’s the classic modern liberal misreading of the American people.
The media establishment laughingly now wants to blame President Trump for the division in the country regarding the NFL, as though this all started last week. Trump certainly threw some gas on a fire, but all of us football fans have been watching with frustration the existing fire that was burning a divide in America.
The NFL, led by Commissioner Roger Goodell, could have doused the initial flames with a tiny tea cup of water. But it did not because it is now driven by a clearly manifested liberal ideology — and there is no better way to divide Americans and destroy a popular pastime than to do what it is doing.
Here are four reasons the NFL — from players to Commissioner Goodell — is dead wrong to be kneeling during the National Anthem to protest police killing black men.
1. NFL is overtly hypocritical in speech it bans Remember, protesting is political speech. It is protected by 1st Amendment from government control and everyone cherishes that right. But it is not protected by private enterprises, such as sports leagues or businesses. The hypocrisy is clearly seen in what the NFL actually has stopped.
The NFL banned the Dallas Cowboys from wearing a decal last year on their helmets honoring the murdered Dallas police officers. The NFL banned players from wearing socks with Sept. 11 on them in memorial of those killed in the 9-11 Islamist terrorist attacks. The NFL forced Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III to turn his Christian T-Shirt inside out for a press conference. Let’s not pretend this is free speech or protest. This is some free speech and protest. The NFL is more than happy to come down like a sledgehammer on speech that might, in the most general way, be considered right of center politically. But it then allows speech that might broadly be considered left of center.
This makes the NFL leadership a classic modern liberal organization acting in political ways to further an agenda with no adherence whatsoever to principles. They are closer to the anti-free speech codes on college campuses than they are to their fan base. This represents an ongoing problem for the League.
2. NFL is killing its ratings Viewership and attendance at NFL games continues to decline as the protests continue to escalate. In fact, they cratered this past weekend in a way that ought to be shocking to League leadership.
The Associate Press reports:
“Through three weeks, viewership for national telecasts of NFL games is down 11 percent this season compared to 2016, the Nielsen company said on Tuesday. Nielsen said the games averaged 17.63 million viewers for the first three weeks of last season, and have dipped to 15.65 million this year.”
That is a drop of two million viewers year over year. The hugely popular Sunday Night Football game dropped 8 percent compared to just the previous week, when it was already down from last year.
3. NFL is killing its loyal fan base In response to the entire Pittsburgh Steelers’ team (minus one Army Ranger veteran) staying off the field for the National Anthem, a wave of long-time, hardcore Steelers fans have been burning Steelers jackets, hats and other gear. One fan since 1966 burned all of his Steelers’ stuff.
Season-ticket holders around the country burned their expensive and once-beloved tickets.
And somewhat eye-openingly, New England Patriots’ fans loudly booed players kneeling for the National Anthem. The boos just cascaded down onto the field in waves.
It’s one thing for fans from a blue-collar, rust-belt flyover city like Pittsburgh to do this. But in elite, liberal coastal Boston? Yes. Because football fans are on average to the right of center politically, and certainly when it comes to patriotism and national symbols.
The NFL seems unaware of this.
One Steelers player now famously stood in the tunnel with his hand over his heart during the National Anthem. Starting offensive lineman Alejandro Villanueva was an Army Ranger before entering the NFL, serving three tours of duty in Afghanistan.
Last season, he made comments critical of San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick, whose anthem protest lit the fire for other players to follow suit. “I don’t know if the most effective way is to sit down during the national anthem with a country that’s providing you freedom, providing you $16 million a year … when there are black minorities that are dying in Iraq and Afghanistan for less than $20,000 a year,” Villanueva told ESPN.
By last Monday afternoon, the largely unknown offensive lineman’s jersey was the best-selling jersey in the NFL, beating out Tom Brady and other household names.
That is fans openly communicating in clear terms to the League that they do not support what it is allowing. The NFL apparently has forgotten that there is no NFL without the fans. But the fans have not forgotten. And they are putting the League on notice.
4. Last but not least, the actual issue being protested is a myth We are told that there is an epidemic of cops killing unarmed black men. This storyline is the genesis for Black Lives Matter, but more to the point, it is the initial issue driving the kneeling or sitting during the National Anthem.
But it’s not true.
The Wall Street Journal’s Jason Riley, a black columnist, explains through facts and data — not anecdotes and perceptions — what most of the media refuses to.
“In New York City, home to the nation’s largest police force, officer-involved shootings have fallen by more than 90% since the early 1970s, and national trends have been similarly dramatic.
“A Justice Department report published in 2001 noted that between 1976 and 1998, the teen and adult population grew by 47 million people, and the number of police officers increased by more than 200,000, yet the number of people killed by police “did not generally rise” over this period. Moreover, a ‘growing percentage of felons killed by police are white, and a declining percentage are black.” A separate Justice study released in 2011 also reported a decline in killings by police, between 1980 and 2008. And according to figures from the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the rate at which police kill blacks has fallen by 70% since the late 1960s.”
Heather MacDonald, of the Manhattan Institute, is a foremost researcher on the issue and reports stunning facts opposite of the media/Democrat narrative. For instance, 12 percent of white and Hispanic homicide victims are killed by cops. But only 4 percent of black homicide victims are killed by cops. A police officer is 18 times more likely to be killed by an armed black male than an unarmed black male is to be killed by a police officer. You can see many more of her stats at this Prager U video.
These are facts, not emotions or perceptions or Youtube videos. It’s understood that Democrats do not use contextual facts that actually tell the full truth because dividing by race has been a political ploy for three generations now. The media, essentially Democrats with press credentials, also doesn’t report contextual facts. Social media is social media.
So here’s another fun fact that can be used even on Twitter: A black person is more likely to be hit by lightning than to be killed by a cop in the United States of America. That’s how rare it is.
Yet because of social media and unconscionable hyper media coverage of individual events, blacks now think that if they are pulled over by a cop there’s a good chance they will be shot. This is the alleged “social injustice” that has brought NFL players to disrespect the flag, the National Anthem and the country that has given them freedom and wealth and hope.
NFL fans understand this, at least at the gut level. If the NFL doesn’t get its act in line with its fan base — which represents an awful lot of Americans — it will stop being the most popular sport in the nation. And it will do so for no sound reason but partisan politics.
Just the worst.

The BLM/NFL: moving the goal posts but getting nowhere!

The Coach's Team ^ | 9/28/17 | Kevin "Coach" Collins

The merger of the police-hating Black Lives Matter thugs and the America-hating thugs of the National Football League will ultimately prove to be a disaster for the NFL. Their "kaepernicking" will be the death of their jobs.
It was probably inevitable that a major sport’s players would take their turn in the crosshairs of a totally WOKE, White American, super-majority. We are fed up with being attacked, disrespected, spit upon and the subject of never ending demands for more and more free stuff.
We showed we didn’t need anybody else but ourselves to win last November. We lost the Black vote in a landslide – so what? We lost the Hispanic vote by a big margin – so what? Hey we even lost the Asian vote and none of this meant a thing. We won anyway and they lost. Now we are progressing on the path toward straightening out what we know sorely needs straightening out. The thugs of the BLM/NFL have volunteered to be the next group in our woodshed.
Those who align themselves with the Antifa savages who beat up conservatives in wheel chairs and chase conservative children through the streets with nail studded sticks have WOKE us and we are ready and very much up to the fight.
It's bad enough that the BLM/NFL has decided it will align with those who hate us. But now they have the nerve to lecture us about what America is all about.
So what do these BLM/NFL thugs lecturers stand for?
They don’t know.
They think somehow that disrespecting us--the people who spend the money that makes their current lifestyle so much better than the life they grew up in--is how to treat their customer base. They think disrespect works in our world and they learning how wrong they are.
Because they have the minds of children locked in monster sized bodies they think they are somehow special and we will beg them to spit on us again and again, as long as the games go on.
They have always had their asses kissed because of their football prowess and they expect us to do the same. How wrong they are.
They are not of a particularly high character. On average one BLM/NFL thug is arrested each week and it has been this way since Obama was in the White House. They are woman beaters, drug users and drunk drivers. They have no claim to moral parity with us let alone superiority.
Having worked with sports scholarship athletes in a college I’m not convinced that at least some of the BLM/NFL thugs aren’t illiterate – remember Dexter Manly?
Many of our would-be lecturers hate the police and don’t care who knows it. They come from neighborhoods no one would want to claim as home; but when we shrug and say “So what?” they don’t know how to deal with it.
They don’t understand that their being brought up by a single, teenaged mother with no father is not our problem. They don't understand that we only care about them as entertainers. Maybe the concussions they suffer are doing more damage than anyone thought.
If they fail us as entertainers; if they keep moving the goal post so we can never really satisfy their daily demands, they will be the big losers, not us.
BLM/NFL thugs should remember that our lives will be just fine without them; but their lives will not be just fine without us. Daring us not to watch their games is the babble of a spoiled child.
Logic! It’s a beautiful thing!

Meet the Army’s Second Lieutenant Joseph Stalin

US Defense Watch ^ | September 27, 2017 | Ray Starmann

It’s not your father’s army anymore. It’s certainly not your grandfather’s army, nor is it your older brother’s.
Whose army is it in 2017: feminists, communists, radical leftists, moral cowards, and perfumed princes and princesses – that’s whose army it is.
The lean green machine is in dire straits and for all intents and purposes is about ready to flat line without any chances of resuscitation.
Bury the United States Army at Arlington, and engrave on its tombstone, “Killed by cultural Marxists, feminists, feather merchants and moral cowards.”
The latest crisis to engulf the army, and for that matter, the military itself, concerns Second Lieutenant Spenser Rapone, a West Point graduate, a holder of the Combat Infantry Badge, a platoon leader in the 10th Mountain Division, who is apparently an ardent communist and supporter of every Marxist-Leninist maniac to have walked the earth in the last 100 years.
The story of Lieutenant Rapone and his allegiance to the political ideology that gave the world the commissar, bread lines, the Gulag Archipelago, the KGB, the lunatic asylum called North Korea, Pol Pot’s Cambodia, the Stasi, the Berlin Wall, and which butchered 200 million people in the 20th Century has gone viral on the Internet.
Second Lieutenant Spenser Rapone is a graduate of the United States Military Academy, or West Point; you know the institution that gave the nation leaders like Grant, Lee, Pershing, Patton, Eisenhower, Bradley, Gavin, Schwarzkopf, Fred Franks and George Armstrong Custer – Garryowen!
Pictures of Rapone wearing a Che Guevara t-shirt under his West Point dress uniform and a picture of Rapone holding his cap, with the inscription inside, reading, ‘Communism will Win!’ went viral yesterday, when only a small number of conservative news sites were publishing the story.
Rapone put out two visibly pro-communist posts on Twitter this week, including one in which he voiced his support for Argentine communist revolutionary Che Guevara.
“In case there was any lingering doubt, hasta la victoria siempre,” Rapone tweeted on Monday, along with a picture of him revealing a red shirt adorned with Guevara’s face under his uniform.
Rapone posted another picture on Sunday of him holding up his military hat with the message “communism will win” written inside in a tweet expressing support for NFL freeagent Colin Kaepernick amid President Trump’s attacks on NFL players who take a knee in protest during the national anthem.
Rapone, who goes by the Twitter handle, Commie Bebop @punkproletarian, also identifies as a communist on his Twitter page, with his bio reading, “Troop Left, Commie/space cowboy/straight edge insomniac @DSAVeterans.”
Rapone is also a member of the Democratic Socialists of America.
Gateway Pundit then aggregated a host of photos showing the officer promoting communism with Twitter hashtags like #CommunismWillWin, #Marxwasright, and #VeteransForKaepernick.
Rapone reportedly called Secretary of Defense James Mattis the most “evil, vile f***” in the Trump administration and wrote a recent OPED about white nationalism and neo-fascism, in which he stated, “while neo-fascism continues to spread in the United States, from the likes of alt-right ghouls such as Richard Spencer to the latest incarnation of white ethno-nationalist militias, fascism has already been here for a long time.”
US Defense Watch has learned that Rapone was tossed out of the 75th Ranger Regiment as an enlisted man, and that he is currently a platoon leader in the famed 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, New York. Apparently, his communist ideology is no secret and was well known to the cadre at West Point and to his chain of command at both Fort Benning and Fort Drum.
If the army knew about Rapone and his political beliefs which clearly support the overthrow of the United States Government, why in God’s name is this man still in the army?
The Pentagon smoke and mirrors machine steamed ahead at full speed this morning.
The Army was quick to announce it was looking into the messages posted by Rapone, issuing a statement on Tuesday saying, “Second Lieutenant Rapone’s actions in no way reflect the values of the U.S. Military Academy or the U.S. Army.”
“As figures of public trust, members of the military must exhibit exemplary conduct, and are prohibited from engaging in certain expressions of political speech in uniform. Second Lieutenant Rapone’s chain of command is aware of his actions and is looking into the matter. The academy is prepared to assist the officer’s chain of command as required,” the statement continued.
West Point issued a statement Thursday afternoon saying the officer’s actions “in no way reflect the values of the U.S. Military Academy or the U.S. Army.”
“As figures of public trust, members of the military must exhibit exemplary conduct, and are prohibited from engaging in certain expressions of political speech in uniform,” the statement read. “Second Lieutenant Rapone’s chain of command is aware of his actions and is looking into the matter. The academy is prepared to assist the officer’s chain of command as required.”
Just to show you how far this great nation and its military have fallen, Rapone and his traitorous beliefs were defended by a number of his fellow officers who attended West Point with Rapone , taught him at West Point and served with him.
One of Rapone’s fellow classmates at West Point indicated that the cadre at West Point was more than aware of his enemy political ideology and that Rapone is a great officer and a real intellectual.
What’s the problem America? Come on; get on board the cultural Marxist train. Next stop, Kool Aid Land, aka the Pentagon; final stop, the death of the US Army on a distant battlefield.
Another fellow classmate of Rapone’s from the Long Gray Line said that the people complaining about Rapone were old vets, you know the guys from the army that won the Surge, the 100 Hour War, took Panama and Grenada and never lost a battle in Vietnam, beat the crap out of the commies in Korea and saved the world in the big one; that army, those old vets.
What do we know anyway?
Yet, another supporter of Rapone said that he would never be broken with so many classmates supporting him.
God in heaven, Gunfighter Emerson, Bob ‘Diggin’ Higgins and Chargin’ Charlie Beckwith, where are you? The lean green machine is in deep Kimshee if West Point is graduating leaders who are basically either communists or support communism.
Even more shocking, a former instructor of Comrade Rapone’s at the Kremlin on the Hudson stated that because Rapone had been in combat, we should all forgive him for being a communist. In addition, the instructor stated that Rapone had read a lot about communism and that he had a good heart.
He sure he has read a lot about communism and his heroes, Che, Uncle Ho and Fidel. So what if he’s a commie, he’s not a bad guy. Ho Chi Minh liked kids…and Hitler liked dogs.
What the hell is going on at West Point and in our military?
It would be one thing if Rapone was a civilian and had no affiliation with the government or the military, but Rapone swore to defend this nation against all enemies; foreign and domestic, which includes world communism.
Second Lieutenant Spenser Rapone should be court martialed for one; conduct unbecoming an officer, two; being a member of a political organization and/or having political ideology which supports the overthrow of the US Government and three; for making disparaging public remarks about the Secretary of Defense and the Commander in Chief, Donald J. Trump.
Apparently, Rapone’s conduct and political affiliation was the first subject of the day at the Sec Army and Chiefs of Staffs morning briefing. No doubt this one will be called Operation Shove under the Rug. Gotta think about all those perks once you get out, right generals; country last, your PX parking space first.
The army can claim they are investigating Rapone to the cows come home.
This ‘old vet’ is betting that the army will do nothing.
Rapone is a sign of the times; a traitor to the nation, who is serving openly in uniform on active duty in full view of his chain of command that knows exactly what’s going on.
He will get away with it all; the Twitter posts, the communism, the sedition, the comments about his chain of command because the military is stocked with moral cowards, social justice warriors, the LGBT mafia, leftists radicals and feminists who think that a commie Benedict Arnold like Rapone is as all-American as baseball, hot dogs, apple pie and Chevrolet.
That’s how far this great nation has fallen and our army and our military with it.
The country is under attack by leftist radicals and communists and our nation is doomed unless Americans take their country back from these enemies of the state; traitors who serve in the Pentagon, in the Swamp and at Fort Drum, where Second Lieutenant Joseph Stalin resides tonight with a smile on his face, the smile of a man who knows his senior leaders are worms.
A massive purge must begin tomorrow, in order to save the military from the leftist social engineers who have infiltrated its ranks and who, like the communists of the past will stop at nothing to reach their goals; the complete obliteration of the US military as a fighting force and its incarnation as nothing more than a corporation with high explosives.
If nothing is done, the consequences are too catastrophic to even contemplate.
During his speech to the cadets at West Point in 1962, General MacArthur stated:
The long gray line has never failed us. Were you to do so, a million ghosts in olive drab, in brown khaki, in blue and gray, would rise from their white crosses, thundering those magic words: Duty, Honor, Country.
I believe it’s time for the ghosts to make an appearance.

‘Communism Will Win’: U.S. Army Infantry Officer Posts Message In Support of Kaepernick

Mediaite ^ | 25 Sep 2017 | Colin Kalmbacher

As the discourse rolls on regarding former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick‘s decision to take a knee during the national anthem–and the movement his protest ignited–support for the blacklisted athlete-cum-activist is sprouting up across the country.
Yesterday afternoon, on Twitter, some of that support came from U.S. Army Infantry Officer and U.S. Military Academy at West Point alumnus, Spenser Rapone.
Rapone posts under the handle @punkproletarian and is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America.
Under the hashtag #VeteransForKaepernick, he tweeted an image of himself raising the left clenched-fist of solidarity, support and resistance as well as the message, “Communism Will Win” taped inside of his West Point uniform cap. Also visible in the photograph is Rapone’s Combat Infantryman Badge–meaning he has fought in active ground combat.
Rapone followed up his initial post with retweeted images of other #VeteransForKaepernick in their combat uniforms.
LawNewz verified the legitimacy of the photograph with Rapone himself. He is currently in the field until Friday and unable to answer detailed questions, but a Medium post authored by the Infantry Officer details some of his views. He wrote, following the murder of socialist Heather Heyer during the Charlottesville neo-Nazi rallies:
The toppling of the Confederate Soldiers Memorial in Durham, North Carolina has sounded the death knell for any and all displays of Confederate aggrandizement in the United States as well as abroad. Yet, the shadow of the Confederacy and its efforts to preserve slavery is not limited to the southern United States.

The response to Rapone’s tweet has been mostly supportive–though some have raised concerns about his personal and job safety–and the image is quickly approaching viral status. He later sought to clear up any confusion by posting another image of himself. This time, sporting a Che Guevara t-shirt underneath his half-buttoned uniform, Rapone tweeted, “In case there was any lingering doubt, hasta la victoria siempre,” a popular slogan attributed to the late Marxist revolutionary, physician, and guerrilla leader who was ultimately killed and captured by the United States’ own CIA.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~They allow this at West Point?

Time to change the NFL channel.

NFL Commissioner,

I’ve been a season pass holder at Yankee Stadium, Yale Bowl and Giants Stadium.
I missed the ’90-’91 season because I was with a battalion of Marines in Desert Storm. 14 of my wonderful Marines returned home with the American Flag draped across their lifeless bodies. My last conversation with one of them, Sgt Garrett Mongrella, was about how our Giants were going to the Super Bowl. He never got to see it.
Many friends, Marines, and Special Forces Soldiers who worked with or for me through the years returned home with the American Flag draped over their coffins.

Now I watch multi-millionaire athletes who never did anything in their lives but play a game, disrespect what brave Americans fought and died for.

They are essentially spitting in the faces and on the graves of real men, men who have actually done something for this country beside playing with a ball and believing they’re something special! They’re not! My Marines and Soldiers were!
You are complicit in this! You’ll fine players for large and small infractions but you lack the moral courage and respect for our nation and the fallen to put an immediate stop to this. Yes, I know, it’s their 1st Amendment right to behave in such a despicable manner.
What would happen if they came out and disrespected you or the refs publicly?
I observed a player getting a personal foul for twerking in the end zone after scoring. I guess that’s much worse than disrespecting the flag and our National Anthem. Hmmmmm, isn’t it his 1st Amendment right to express himself like an idiot in the end zone?
Why is taunting not allowed yet taunting America is OK? You fine players for wearing 9-11 commemorative shoes yet you allow scum on the sidelines to sit, kneel or pump their pathetic fist in the air. They are so deprived with their multi-million dollar contracts for playing a freaking game!
You condone it all by your refusal to act. You’re just as bad and disgusting as they are. I hope Americans boycott any sponsor who supports that rabble you call the NFL. I hope they turn off the TV when any team that allowed this disrespect to occur, without consequence, on the sidelines. I applaud those who have not.
Legends and heroes do NOT wear shoulder pads. They wear body armor and carry rifles.
They make minimum wage and spend months and years away from their families. They don’t do it for an hour on Sunday. They do it 24/7 often with lead, not footballs, coming in their direction. They watch their brothers carted off in pieces not on a gurney to get their knee iced. They don’t even have ice! Many don’t have legs or arms.
Some wear blue and risk their lives daily on the streets of America. They wear fire helmets and go upstairs into the fire rather than down to safety. On 9-11, hundreds vanished. They are the heroes.
I hope that your high paid protesting pretty boys and you look in that mirror when you shave tomorrow and see what you really are, legends in your own minds. You need to hit the road and take those worms with you!

If kneeling is free speech and you condemn the flag that gives you free speech...

http://www.FreeRepublic.com ^ | September 25, 2017 | CivilWarBrewing

YOU ARE A HYPOCRITE!

This issue is NOT COMPLICATED, people.

First, CONDEMNING the flag that gives you your right to free speech means you CONDEMN THE RIGHT TO FREELY SPEAK!

If you CONDEMN our flag by kneeling during our National Anthem, THEN YOU ARE A TOTAL HYPOCRITE FOR PARTAKING IN THE FREEDOM OF SPEECH OUR FLAG GIVES TO YOU!

Most employees are NOT permitted to make controversial political, religious or ideological comments or display anything of that sort while at their workplace. NFL players are EMPLOYEES OF THE NFL while on the field. As such, they are not permitted to express their views by affixing patches or decals to their jerseys or their helmets. Kneeling during our national anthem is a POLITICAL/IDEOLOGICAL EXPRESSION that is NOT ALLOWED in the workplace which in this case is the NFL's football field.

The NFL bosses are afraid. They're afraid that if they were to take punitive action against a black football player, they might OFFEND THEIR BLACK TELEVISION AUDIENCE. Make no mistake, this is absolutely the reason the NFL bosses have taken no action against their mostly black traitorous employees. Kneeling during our National Anthem is NO DIFFERENT THAN AFFIXING A 'BLACK LIVES MATTER' DECAL TO A HELMET OR PATCH TO A JERSEY!

THE NFL BOSSES ARE MOST AT FAULT HERE FOR NOT ENFORCING THEIR OWN RULES. They have conspired with their own football player employees to VIOLATE THEIR OWN RULES AND REGULATIONS regarding their own personal political, religious or ideological expressions while on the field.

The NFL bosses are ALLOWING their employees to VIOLATE their own rules and regulations. It's as simple as that and this is why the NFL BOSSES ARE MOST AT FAULT for allowing this to continue.

Trump is right on this issue. The NFL should ENFORCE their own rules and regulations and TERMINATE THE EMPLOYMENT OF ANY PLAYER WHO REFUSES TO ABIDE BY THE RULES!

Talk, talk, debate, talk and more talk! THIS IS NOT A COMPLICATED ISSUE, AMERICA. This is about employees violating the rules of their workplace and their bosses ALLOWING THEM TO GET AWAY WITH IT for fear of losing their black television viewing audience.

TRUMP IS RIGHT.. BOYCOTT FOOTBALL, 100%!

Live Grenade

American Thinker ^ | 09/25/2017 | Russ Vaughn

There's no question that President Trump tossed a live grenade into the NFL's locker room during his Alabama speech the other night that has set off countless secondary explosions throughout the league and across the media spectrum.

Too many in the left-wing media want to play down the fact that this entire mess began with one player, Colin Kaepernick, radicalized by his lefty girlfriend, demonstrating his support for the Black Lives Matter campaign against America's police forces.  Now, I can understand how young men in their physical prime could find this a sympathetic view, as many of them too frequently find themselves in direct conflict with America's police due to alcohol- and testosterone-fueled incidents of physical violence, often involving their wives or girlfriends.  However, the more important consideration is that BLM's campaign against cops is not one that finds wide favor among the citizenry at large, the folks who support the NFL with their fandom.

And that, folks, is the issue here.  The owners and the NFL commissioner chose to permit these demonstrations against America's police to continue despite of the fact that they further alienate a large segment of a fan base already disaffected by the injection of leftist political views into media coverage of their game broadcasts.  If you think I'm exaggerating on alienation, just Google up some images of the recent SF 49ers-LA Rams game and look at all those empty seats.  This may be the worst case of no-shows to date, but it's a growing occurrence at other stadiums, and television viewership is down as well.  The American people are speaking, telling those defiant football players that America supports law enforcement, not black criminality, and the NFL owners and management ignore them to their ultimate peril.

Snowflakes

The Nail in the NFL’s Coffin

https://townhall.com/columnists/lawrencemeyers/2017/09/25/draft-n2385938 ^ | September 25, 2017 | Lawrence Meyers

When NFL players began taking knees and raising Black Panther fists during games last year, the NFL had to take swift action.  It failed. The result is that football has now become politicized, handing the Left another victory in the culture wars.  The news behind the news, however, is where the story gets even more depressing.
Nobody in their right minds objects to freedom of speech. That is, except UC Berkeley, but the university and its students clear have no actual minds to be right in.   However, there are strategic decisions that guides when that speech will be the most effective.
Any player who feels strongly enough about his protest for the national anthem owes it to his employer (the team’s owner), the head coach, and his players, to discuss exactly what his feelings are and the most effective manner in which to express them.Any owner or coach would stand behind that player to help him achieve his desired outcome.
The player represents the team’s brand.  He represents the city.  He represents America, the country that gave him the freedom to excel, to become an elite member in the field of American professional sports.  The player is paid millions of dollars.  To choose the moment, dictated by tradition, to show disrespect for all of these things, shows exceptionally poor judgment.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell is paid well over $40 million annually to protect the league’s reputation and business.  He’s done a horrible job the last few years, palming off issues of domestic violence, and failing to take a firm stance regarding the anthem.  A simple statement would have sufficed: “The NFL respects and encourages freedom of speech.  The NFL also respects America, and strongly encourages all players and staff to stand proudly for our national anthem, and to engage in individual protests on their own time.”

That’s all he had to do.  He failed.  Now this behavior has spread like a cancer.
The owners are the next line of defense.  Who is the one owner who has stood up and made it clear that free speech does not exist on private property, or when you are an employee who represents a brand and a team?  Jerry Jones, of course, of the Dallas Cowboy’s.  America’s Team.
Ultimately, the responsibility falls on the players.  It is a disgrace that any player should fail to stand for the national anthem, considering what this country has done for them.  Yet that’s just the tip of the iceberg.  Considering the visibility that NFL players have, they would be infinitely more effective calling attention to an issue outside of the game.  Pittsburgh Steelers rookie T.J. Watt managed to raise over $30 million for hurricane relief…and then squandered that goodwill by staying in the locker room with the entire Steelers team during this week’s anthem.
Oh, actually not the entire team.  Offensive tackle Alejandro Villanueva, a former Army Ranger with three tours in Afghanistan, stood on the field for the anthem.  That would be a proud American of Hispanic background who recognizes not only what his country has done for him, but honors the flag and his own service by standing for the anthem.
Nobody is saying that Black men and women don’t have reasons to be angry.  Yet this statement by the Seahawks makes no sense:

“As a team, we have decided we will not participate in the national anthem. We will not stand for the injustice that has plagued people of color in this country. Out of love for our country and in honor of the sacrifices made on our behalf, we unite to oppose those that would deny our most basic freedoms. We remain committed in continuing to work towards equality and justice for all.
If this is what they want to protest, ignoring the anthem which gave these men the opportunities they have had to succeed, is the wrong way to do it.  They should be out in the community every chance they get, and engaging in activities that would actually make a difference.  It takes no courage at all to stay in the locker room.Courage would mean doing just about anything else – especially spending time with at-risk youths so that they don’t become “victims of injustice”.
Instead, the only thing that happens when Odell Beckham Jr. raises a Black Panther salute in the endzone does is annoy fans who are there to escape the daily grind of politics.
Of course, the news behind the news is that the swarm of protests is in direct response to President Trump’s tweets that were critical of the NFL’s attitude towards the anthem. This begs a few questions.  First, why is the President bothering to get involved? There’s nothing wrong with being a pugilist, but the same rules apply to him about messaging.  There doesn’t appear to be an upside in picking this fight.Just like Goodell, a simple statement would have sufficed.
So one must look beyond the tweets to see what the protests are really about.  They sure aren’t about what the Seahawks claim, or if they are, then these players are utter hypocrites for not actually engaging in life-changing activities.
No, it’s identity politics.Again.  Still.  With Blacks comprising 68 percent of the league, this is yet another example of Trump Derangement Syndrome.  Millions of Americans have brought into the nonsense that President Trump is anti-semitic, racist, sexist, transgenderist, racist, white nationalist, neo-confederate, racist, homophobic, racist, Nazi, racist, Islamophobic racist bad man who clubs baby seals.

Which, even if that were true, there are still infinitely better ways to protest effectively.
It’s also bad business.Goodell and the owners are driving Americans away from football.   Ratings are down again this year, after last year’s decline, which was a direct result of Colin Kaepernick’s temper tantrums.  It’s only going to get worse, and it may already be too late.
And in case you think this has nothing to do with the culture wars, ask yourself: the same people defending these NFL crybabies are the same ones who mocked Tim Tebow for kneeling to pray when he was on the field.
Want to kneel at an NFL game?  You’ll find me beside Mr. Tebow.

Donald Trump's Allies Join His Crusade Against The NFL

Buzzfeed ^ | 24 September 2017 | Henry J. Gomez

“Turn off the NFL,” reads a digital ad produced by the nonprofit America First Policies, which planned to begin spreading the message on social media Sunday afternoon.

A political group with close ties to President Donald Trump is amplifying his attack on professional athletes who kneel during the national anthem as a form of protest.
“Turn off the NFL,” reads a digital ad produced by the nonprofit America First Policies, which planned to begin spreading the message on social media Sunday afternoon.
The ad includes a photo with Trump, hand over his heart, and a #TakeAStandNotAKnee hashtag. It follows Trump’s recent remarks, first delivered during a Friday night speech in Alabama, aimed at football players who have protested police brutality and other causes.
While campaigning for Luther Strange, who is locked in a tough Republican primary to keep the Alabama Senate seat he was appointed to earlier this year, Trump asked those in the audience if they would "love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, 'get that son of a bitch off the field right now.'" He added that such players should be fired.
Trump continued the attack over the weekend on Twitter.
“If a player wants the privilege of making millions of dollars in the NFL, or other leagues, he or she should not be allowed to disrespect … our Great American Flag (or Country) and should stand for the National Anthem,” Trump posted in a series of tweets. "If not, YOU'RE FIRED. Find something else to do!”
NFL team owners and players reacted strongly and disapprovingly to Trump’s push.

Worth it

Thank You for your service Alejandro Villanueva

Thank You for your service and your courage both on the battlefield and the playing field.

Sometimes the things that may or may not be true are the things a man needs to believe in the most. That people are basically good; that honor, courage, and virtue mean everything; that power and money, money and power mean nothing; that good always triumphs over evil; and I want you to remember this, that love... true love never dies. You remember that, boy. You remember that. Doesn't matter if it's true or not. You see, a man should believe in those things, because those are the things worth believing in.

Funny Facts

National Geographic was unable to avoid the cultural attack against white privilege launched by Black Lives Matter Friday. Nat Geo filmed two very rare White Giraffes surveying a meadow together in Kenya. ESPN host Jemele Hill accused them of holding their heads up a little TOO high.

Fox News showed video footage of black teenagers looting a sportswear store in Naples during the hurricane and reported it. We are definitely two nations. CNN showed the same footage and reported that brave volunteers were rescuing stranded apparel from being ruined by Hurricane Irma.

North Korea fired yet another missile into the Pacific Ocean Friday that flew directly over the Japanese island of Hokkaido. Warning sirens went off at six in the morning warning everybody to take cover. Who needs an alarm clock in Japan when North Korea gives you a wake-up call every day.

Mexican Independence Day was celebrated on both sides of the border on Saturday. It's a rich country. In addition to the silver and gold they mine, the oil they drill, the corn they grow, the tequila they distill and all the beer they brew, Mexico's also the world's number-one producer of Californians.

Harvard withdrew a fellowship to Chelsea Manning due to public anger over the trans-gender icon being a convicted traitor. It's a touchy group. Last night in West Hollywood, I was asked to leave a party hosted by trans-genders because I didn't know that you leave the toilet seat in the middle.

The Weather Channel enjoyed huge TV ratings due to the catastrophes which hit Florida and Texas, and Saturday they finally had good news. Hurricane Jose won't make landfall on the East Coast this week. Instead, Jose is heading around the horn to California now that it's a sanctuary state.

London was hit by its fifth terrorist attack of the year when an improvised explosive detonated in a subway. ISIS took credit for the bomb. If the number of terrorist attacks by the Islamic State continues at the current rate, candlelight vigils will soon be the number-one cause of global warming.

The TSA said they will begin giving passengers enhanced pat-downs. They're desperate. It has been sixteen years, a million flights and a billion passengers and they still can't find a black person, a Hispanic person, an Asian person or a white person who is willing to blow up their own airline flight.

President Trump spoke to the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Tuesday. He began his speech by saluting the U.N. for its tireless work in maintaining world peace over the last seventy years. It's always smart to start your speech with a good joke to get the crowd on your side.

Stephen Colbert orchestrated a three-hour roast of President Trump at the Emmy Awards on CBS Sunday. The entertainment industry crowd laughed and cheered every insult he delivered against Trump. I've done what Stephen Colbert does onstage, I taught cheerleading clinics in college.

ESPN commentator and Sports Center host Jamele Hill yielded to pressure and she tweeted an apology for calling President Trump a white supremacist. She said it was wrong for her to inject her personal feelings into her role as an ESPN host. Nevertheless, CNN is suing ESPN for plagiarism.

Nancy Pelosi was shouted off the press conference stage in San Francisco by undocumented Dreamers Monday who demand a stand-alone bill legalizing them, not part of a bill that also builds the wall. You can understand why. They want a way out the moment North Korea can reach Oregon.

The Weather Channel reported Monday that Hurricane Maria is about to arrive at Category Five strength in the wake of Hurricane Harvey, Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Jose. Enough hurricanes already. So many businesses on the coasts are boarded up, it's like Obama never left office.

Hobby Lobby angered minorities by selling cotton on branches as a decorative home bouquet Monday. To prevent any more controversy, the store won't display its annual Halloween tableau of a witch crashing her broom into a tree. They don't want to offend Hillary Clinton voters or Asians.

President Trump was applauded by conservatives for his speech to the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday in which he spelled out the Trump Doctrine foreign policy to North Korea and to Iran. It's an idea he got from the hurricane season. The Trump Doctrine states, evacuate or die.

Sen. Lindsey Graham pushed a health care bill to repeal Obamacare and send the money back to the states over Democratic howls. A compromise could satisfy both sides. If Democrats agree to leave Lee's name on the statues, Republicans will agree to leave Obama's name on the health care system.

The Emmy Awards show hosted by Stephen Colbert drew the lowest ratings in history Sunday for CBS. There's new evidence as to why. The birth rate among conservatives is reportedly way up, probably due to the extra hour in bed from refusing to watch late-night hosts whine about Trump.

The Toronto Film Festival premiered a movie about Chappaquiddick when Ted Kennedy ran his car off a bridge and killed Mary Jo Kopechne. In true Hollywood fashion, the film doesn't blame the tragedy on Teddy's drinking. They blame it on ice on the bridge caused by climate change.

The New York Post reports federal prosecutors are asking for twenty-seven months in federal prison for disgraced former Congressman Anthony Weiner. Democrats have disowned him. Bill Clinton and Jack Kennedy took their sexual conduct seriously, but Anthony Weiner just phoned it in.

The United Nations released a report Wednesday revealing that there are countries in which forty million people are enslaved around the world. The leaders of these slave countries have learned one thing this year. They may never pay for this sin but their statues are going to be mighty sorry someday.

Yesterday, Trump posted a tweet where he referred to Kim Jong Un as "Rocket Man." Which beats the other nickname he gave him, Lil' Kim.

-- Jimmy Fallon

This afternoon, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un lashed out at President Trump, calling him "mentally deranged" and "a frightened dog." As a result, Kim Jong Un is now the Democrats' top pick for president in 2020.

American football stars took a knee in defiance of Donald Trump at Wembley Stadium today after he said sportsmen who 'disrespect America' should be 'fired'.
Players from both Jacksonville Jaguars and the Baltimore Ravens dropped to their knees as the national anthem was played prior to the match in London.
No players were kneeling during the playing of 'God Save The Queen', which followed the Star Spangled Banner.
They did so after President Trump had stoked tensions by saying NFL players who protested during the national anthem should be sacked by their team.
At a rally on Friday night the president said: 'Wouldn't you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, 'Get that son of a bi*ch off the field right now... he is fired.'
He was referring to a controversial string of protests started by player Colin Kaepernick last year when he sat or kneeled during the anthem to highlight the treatment of black Americans.
Players on both teams and Jaguars owner Shad Khan, who were not kneeling, remained locked arm-in-arm throughout the playing of the national anthem and 'God Save The Queen'. Khan donated $1million to Trump's inaugural committee last year.
