What Happened? I happened: President Trump retweets meme mocking Hillary Clinton's new memoir

U.K. Daily Mail ^ | 9/2/2017 | Cheyenne Roundtree and Ariel Zilber

President Donald Trump just can’t resist getting in another shot at his political nemesis Hillary Clinton on Twitter.

Just hours after returning to Washington, DC from flood-ravaged regions of Texas and Louisiana, the president retweeted a meme poking fun at Clinton.

The meme, which was first posted by a pro-Trump Twitter account known as Trumpism 4.0, shows the cover of Clinton’s new memoir, What Happened.

Next to the book is a copy of a book with the same design, only this time with the words ‘I happened’ over a picture of a smiling Trump.
The meme also includes four laughing emojis.

What Are Democrats So Afraid Of? ^ | September 3, 2017 | Derek Hunter

Mention voter fraud near a liberals and you’ll see Pavlov’s Basic Principles of Classical Conditioning in action. “There is no voter fraud,” they’ll instinctively say, then expect a treat. But is there something more behind their reaction than groupthink?

When President Donald Trump announced his Advisory Commission on Election Integrity the media nearly lost what was left of their minds. Journalists mocked the idea, dismissing it as an exercise in vanity, insisting Trump was pushing what they freely labeled a lie because he’s upset over having lost the popular vote to Hillary Clinton by 3 million.
There’s no doubt the President isn’t happy about this fact, and has made no secret of his belief his popular vote loss was due to illegally cast ballots. But why would Democrats, both elected and in the media, be so upset at the prospect of looking into it? As Napoleon is credited with saying, “Never interfere with your enemy when he is committing a mistake.”

Yet Democrats are adamant that this commission end, and their fellow Democrats in positions of power in the states resist any cooperation. Their activist arms have gone so far as to file lawsuits to delay sharing voter information with the commission. Not to stop it – it’s public information, after all – but to slow the process in the hope of stopping it altogether.
Some have claimed the federal government has no business obtaining the last four digits of voter’s Social Security numbers, which is absurd since the government is the one who issued them. Others have attempted to stoke fears that the Trump administration wants to see how people voted. This is also insane since no ballot is tied to any identifying marks.
So why would leftists lie? If voter fraud is such a non-existent phenomenon, you’d think these officials and states would be more than happy to prove their voter rolls only contain living American citizens above the age of 18, right? In doing so, they would definitively put to rest the debate over voter fraud, which they could spend the next decade rubbing in the faces of Republicans.
Yet they “resist,” if you will. Why?
The answers are as old as civilization itself: money and power.
The Democratic Party’s base is in an extremely paranoid moment in their history. Years of dividing Americans into tribes based on race, gender, sexual orientation, and every other possible way to segregate humans has led to a collective belief in their supporters that some Republican-led entity is out get them. And there is money to be raised off of fear.
A recent Democratic Party fundraising email came with the subject line, “Shut. It. Down,” and was all about the commission. “We knew from the beginning that this commission was nothing more than a way for Trump and the GOP to make it harder for people to vote,” it reads.
It continues, “Voting is our most important constitutional right, and how we exercise that right is deeply personal. Who you vote for, and when and how you cast your ballot, is certainly not the business of this commission.”
Of course, the DNC knows there is absolutely no way to know who someone voted for, but they also know a substantial portion of their base is paranoid enough to believe Steve Bannon is reading their emails, so this absurd claim will have appeal to many Democrats.
DNC Chairman Tom Perez took it a step further in an op-ed for Time. Of the commission, “(t)here seems to be no limit to how far Republicans will go to disenfranchise certain voters,” Perez wrote. So not only do Republicans want to spy on you, they’re racists too!
They know their base, don’t they?
In reality, if voter fraud were rarer than a unicorn Democrats would embrace the commission’s work. The data they requested could, once and for all, prove illegal aliens and the dead aren’t voting, that people who vote actually exist. Yet this prospect scares the hell out of them. Weird, right?
Of course there is example after example of fraudulent voting. The mainstream media ignores them, pretends they don’t exist, but they’ve very real. They’re generally discovered in small numbers in narrow areas where study of voter data is possible, but if you extrapolate what is discovered narrowly to the rest of the country, there’s a possibility of millions of illegal votes being cast each election.
With more and more elections being decided by smaller margins, you’d think both parties would care about voter integrity. And you’d think both parties would consider one fraudulent vote that negates the valid vote of an American to be something worthy of stopping.
If you thought that you’d be wrong. Democrats don’t care. For all the chants from their marauding mobs of protests saying, “This is what democracy looks like,” they have no interest in democracy. Which only leaves the question: what are they afraid of?

Time for a Full Investigation... of the FBI ^ | Roger L Simon

What happens to a country whose most important police force — and its key investigators — is no longer telling the truth to the citizens of that nation? Nothing good, I'm sure most would agree. There's almost no point in going through all the analogies to despotic regimes. Writers from George Orwell to Arthur Koestler have already done it for us.
But those analogies come immediately to mind following two revelations regarding our Federal Bureau of Investigation that surfaced this week. In one instance, the FBI refused to turn over documents regarding the Hillary Clinton emails because of -- wait for it -- "lack of public interest."
The head of the FBI Records Management Division wrote Ty Clevenger, a New York Attorney who filed the FOIA request in March 2016, to inform him that his request was being denied in late August.“You have not sufficiently demonstrated that the public’s interest in disclosure outweighs personal privacy interests of the subject,” the letter, obtained by Fox News, reads. “Therefore, records regarding your subject are withheld pursuant to FOIA exemptions.”
It's hard to imagine what was going on in the mind of Records Management Division head David M. Hardy when he wrote -- or was forced to write by some unknown superior -- such a risible lie, but things have only gotten worse from there. Now we learn that then FBI director James Comey may never have planned to find Clinton guilty in the first place.
While the transcripts of those interviews are heavily redacted, they indicate that Comey started working on an announcement clearing Clinton in April or May of last year, before the FBI interviewed 17 witnesses in the case, including Clinton and some of her top aides.

A Sunday smile for Old Farts

email from a geezer friend | 9/3/2017 | unknown

An old geezer became very bored in retirement and decided to open a medical clinic. He put a sign up outside that said: "Dr.Geezer's clinic. Get your treatment for $500, if not cured, get back $1,000."
Doctor "Young," who was positive that this old geezer didn't know beans about medicine, thought this would be a great opportunity to get $1,000. So he went to Dr.Geezer's clinic.
Dr. Young: "Dr.Geezer, I have lost all taste in my mouth. Can you please help me?" Dr. Geezer: "Nurse, please bring medicine from box 22 and put 3 drops in Dr. Young's mouth."
Dr. Young: Aaagh! -- "This is Gasoline!" Dr. Geezer: "Congratulations! You've got your taste back. That will be $500."
Dr. Young gets annoyed and goes back after a couple of days figuring to recover his money. Dr. Young: "I have lost my memory, I cannot remember anything." Dr. Geezer: "Nurse, please bring medicine from box 22 and put 3 drops in the patient's mouth." Dr. Young: "Oh, no you don't, -- that is Gasoline!" Dr. Geezer: "Congratulations! You've got your memory back.
That will be $500."
Dr. Young (after having lost $1000) leaves angrily and comes back after several more days.
Dr. Young: "My eyesight has become weak --- I can hardly see anything!"
Dr. Geezer: "Well, I don't have any medicine for that so, " Here's your $1000 back." (giving him a $10 bill)
Dr. Young: "But this is only $10!"
Dr. Geezer: "Congratulations! You got your vision back! That will be $500." Moral of story -- Just because you're "Young" doesn't mean that you can outsmart an "old Geezer"
Remember: Don't make old people mad. We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to piss us off.

Liberal Group Raising Funds for Hurricane Harvey Victims to Have Abortions!

Life News ^ | Sept, 1, 2017 | Micaiah Bilger

Abortion activists are fundraising so that more people will die in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.

The death toll from the massive hurricane reached 46, as of Friday afternoon, according to the New York Times. But no one will count how many more human lives will be lost to abortion as a result of abortion activists’ fundraising off the natural disaster.
The Free Beacon reports one of the groups capitalizing off Hurricane Harvey is the Lilith Fund, which funds abortions and abortion advocacy.
The Texas-based group set up an “Emergency Fund for Harvey Survivors” to raise money for women who are “seeking an abortion but cannot afford it,” according to the group’s Facebook page.
“With increased barriers like temporary clinic closures, displacement, loss of homes/vehicles, and more, access to abortion just got even more difficult for those affected by Harvey,” the group wrote.
Other abortion activists also have been urging people to donate to abortion groups to help hurricane victims abort their unborn babies. And the pro-abortion blog Romper dedicated a whole article to urging donations for abortions in Texas.
“May I suggest that, among your donations for #Harvey relief, you consider also donating to a Texas abortion fund? This, too, is needed,” pro-abortion writer Verónica Bayetti Flores wrote on Twitter this week.
“Disasters mean missed appointments,” she continued. “Mass disruptions like this wreak havoc on people’s lives, particularly w this time sensitive care.”
Here’s more from the report:
Some other groups have also been focused on goals outside of funding rescue, food, water, clothing, or shelter, and still disagree with Lilith’s fundraising approach. Members of New Wave Feminist are focused on empowering women during the tragedy. The group has collected supplies and has reminded women “they are not alone,” RedState reported.
The founder and president of New Wave Feminist, and a Texan, Destiny Herndon-De La Rosa, said of Lilith’s approach:
SUPPORT PRO-LIFE NEWS! Please help with a donation
The fact that this group would use a natural disaster to fundraise is absolutely appalling. For so many struggling right now, they need to know that their fellow Texans are here to support them with resources and real help so that they can make nonviolent choices. Just because they’ve lost everything, that doesn’t mean their child has to lose their life.
In contrast to abortion activists’ life-destroying fundraising efforts, pro-life pregnancy centers, ministries and others are providing support for pregnant and parenting moms in the wake of the hurricane.
Meredith Phillips, who helps operate a Christian housing ministry for pregnant moms called LifeHouse in Houston, told Pregnancy Help News that they had to relocate nine pregnant women and several staff members because of the flood.
Since then, Phillips said they have been reaching out to other expectant moms in the area and providing any resources that they can.
Here’s more from that report:
By the end of the day Wednesday, Phillips had talked at length with five expectant mothers who had lost their homes and had nowhere to go. She was able to immediately place one of the women in LifeHouse, which has the capacity for as many as 18 moms at a time, while the team helped connect 10 more women to vital resources within the community.
“We really worry about that pregnant woman who has been in this kind of stress,” Phillips said. “We want to be able to give her an environment where she can rest physically and emotionally and be able to nurture the baby who is growing inside of her.”
Several Houston-area pregnancy centers and maternity homes affiliated with Heartbeat International also have reopened and are reaching out to flood victims. Others were damaged by the hurricane and floods.

Dear QUEER Hollywood: Actually, Your Portrayal of Lesbians is a Lie…

Louder with Crowder ^ | May 24 2016 | Courtney Kirchoff

Dear Hollywood leftists trying to make everyone think that all lesbians are beautiful, Stop lying. Most lesbians are not what you make them out to be. Beautiful, well-adjusted models in relationships with other beautiful well-adjusted models happens only on screen. Why dance around the topic with big fancy words or a long disclaimer lead in when I can come right out of my not gay closet and say the obvious? Bluntness: for more than just the lesbian hairdo.

As mentioned in my earlier column, there’s a move in Hollywood to gay all the things. Hashtag campaigns have erected all over the Twitterverse, like #GiveCaptainAmericaABoyfriend, while earlier there was a move to make Elsa of Disney’s Frozen a lesbian. Probably not because she wears a dress so much as she’s an ice queen. Just a guess.
With the LGBT community accounting for 3 percent of the population, but 14 percent of characters in film and TV, those of us with eyes and basic deductive reasoning skills know you’re pushing an agenda. That is yay for gay, don’t fear the queer, never nag the…
Oh snap, forgot something. TRIGGER-WARNING: super offensive words about gay stereotypes in media.
Look if you’re going to gay all the things, there’s nothing I can do to stop you. If you want to make a movie where it’s taboo to be straight… it’ll be a box office bomb, but it’s your right to make the film. It is, after all, still a free-ish country. Hollywood is a business. Make as much gay as you want, I’ll just vote with my dollar and very likely not watch the gayness. Which means my Kindle will be getting plenty of exercise. But, this being an open letter and all, I’m going to point out a number of things you

It Wasn’t Comey’s Decision to Exonerate Hillary – It Was Obama’s! ^ | 2 September 2017 | Andrew McCarthy

The thing to understand, what has always been the most important thing to understand, is that Jim Comey was out in front, but he was not calling the shots.

On the right, the commentariat is in full-throttle outrage over the revelation that former FBI Director Comey began drafting his statement exonerating Hillary Clinton in April 2016 – more than two months before he delivered the statement at his now famous July 5 press conference.
The news appears in a letter written to new FBI Director Christopher Wray by two senior Senate Judiciary Committee Republicans, Chairman Chuck Grassley and Senator Lindsey Graham. Pundits and the Trump administration are shrieking because this indicates the decision to give the Democrats’ nominee a pass was clearly made long before the investigation was over, and even long before key witnesses, including Clinton herself, were interviewed.
It shows, they cry, that the fix was in!
News Flash: This is not news. Let’s think about what else was going on in April 2016. I’ve written about it a number of times over the last year-plus, such as in a column a few months back:
On April 10, 2016, President Obama publicly stated that Hillary Clinton had shown “carelessness” in using a private e-mail server to handle classified information, but he insisted that she had not intended to endanger national security (which is not an element of the [criminal statutes relevant to her e-mail scandal]). The president acknowledged that classified information had been transmitted via Secretary Clinton’s server, but he suggested that, in the greater scheme of things, its importance had been vastly overstated.
This is precisely the reasoning that Comey relied on in ultimately absolving Clinton...
