A Male Fairy Tale.

 by Vaquero

A MALE FAIRY TALE Once upon a time, a Prince asked a beautiful Princess,  "Will you marry me?"
The Princess immediately said, "No!"

And the Prince lived happily ever after, and rode motorcycles and dated thin, long-legged, full-breasted women, and hunted and fished and raced cars, and went to titty bars and dated ladies half his age and drank whiskey, beer, and Captain Morgan, and never heard bitching and never paid child support or alimony, and dated cheerleaders and kept his house and guns, and ate spam and potato chips and beans, and blew enormous farts, and never got cheated on while he was at work, and all his friends and family thought he was friggin' cool as hell, and he had tons of money in the bank, and left the toilet seat up. The End.

The Atlantic Publishes All You Need to Know About the Left

Townhall.com ^ | July 11, 2017 | Dennis Prager

Last week, The Atlantic rendered a great service to those of us who contend that America is in the midst of a civil war between the right and the left. It provided a smoking gun -- actually, the gunshot itself -- to those of us who contend that the left (never to be confused with liberals) is intent on dismantling Western civilization.
It published articles by two left-wing writers, one by Peter Beinart titled "The Racial and Religious Paranoia of Trump's Warsaw Speech," and one by its national correspondent, James Fallows, written on the same theme as Beinart's.
The subject of both articles was President Donald Trump's speech in Warsaw, Poland, last week, a speech described by The Wall Street Journal as "a determined and affirmative defense of the Western tradition."
Yet, to the Atlantic writers, defending Western civilization is nothing more than a defense of white racism.
Beinart begins his piece saying: "In his speech in Poland on Thursday, Donald Trump referred 10 times to 'the West' and five times to 'our civilization.' His white nationalist supporters will understand exactly what he means. It's important that other Americans do, too."
And Fallows begins saying, "what he called 'civilization' ... boils down to ties of ethnicity and blood."
Is there one liberal or conservative American who thinks that the words "the West" and "Western civilization" mean a celebration of white-blood purity?
I doubt it.
What we have here are two vital lessons.
One is that leftism is the primary racist ideology of our time, seeing everything in terms of race, whereas mainstream liberalism and conservatism advocate a race-blind society as manifest in Martin Luther King Jr.'s famous "content of his character" line. The left disdains this view.
To cite one of innumerable examples, the University of California has published a list of biased "microaggression" statements students and faculty are to avoid. One of them is "There is only one race, the human race."
In other words, the left, which controls our universities, teaches American students that it is wrong to believe in one human race. That was precisely what the Nazis taught German students. And now, we have another expression of this doctrine enunciated in the pages of The Atlantic: that those who wish to protect or save Western civilization are talking about saving the white race.
I am certainly not equating leftism with Nazism. The left doesn't seek to annihilate all Jews (it merely supports the Palestinians, who seek to annihilate the Jewish state). I am merely stating an unassailable truth: No significant political movement since the Nazis has "honored" race or equated Western civilization with race, as Beinart and Fallows do.
The second service provided by The Atlantic writers is proof that the left loathes Western civilization and therefore has become the internal enemy of Western civilization both in America and Europe.
In the left's eyes, the mere suggestion that Western civilization needs to be saved is, by definition, a call for the preservation of the white race. Therefore, the left opposes calls to save Western civilization. As Beinart wrote: "The most shocking sentence in Trump's speech -- perhaps the most shocking sentence in any presidential speech delivered on foreign soil in my lifetime -- was his claim that 'The fundamental question of our time is whether the West has the will to survive.' ... Trump's sentence only makes sense as a statement of racial and religious paranoia."
Those of us who have long equated the left with opposition to Western civilization are vindicated. We didn't need Beinart and Fallows -- we already had innumerable examples, such as the University of Pennsylvania English department removing its longstanding poster of William Shakespeare because he was a white male -- but in their explicit articulation of the left's view, they are immensely helpful.
Shakespeare is read in every language that has an alphabet not because he was white or European but because he is regarded as the greatest playwright who ever lived. But the leftists who run that English department place race (and gender) above excellence -- a thorough rejection of Western values.
Ironically, outside of liberals and conservatives, those most likely to celebrate Western values are likely to not be Western. The Japanese would scoff at the idea that Bach and Beethoven did not write the greatest music ever composed. That is why some of the greatest Bach recordings of our time come from Japanese musicians living in Japan. Nor would the Japanese deny that their modern country's democratic values come from the West.
The West's disdain for its own values seems to getting increasingly strident with each passing day. President Trump is making an important and laudable effort to reverse this trend. He's walking in good company. In an address to the Pan-American Scientific Congress in Washington, D.C., on May 10, 1940, then-President Franklin D. Roosevelt said, "Americans might have to become the guardian of Western culture, the protector of Christian civilization." FDR frequently spoke about protecting both Western and Christian civilization.
We owe a debt of gratitude to The Atlantic, CNN (whose senior White House correspondent Jeff Zeleny described Trump's address as a "white America, America first kind of speech") and others. They have made it clear that the left has contempt for Western civilization and therefore constitutes the greatest threat to its survival.

Hillary Plots to Revive Clintonism in 2018 Elections!

Observer ^ | 7/10/2017 | Michael Sainato

Although Clinton lost the election, she is still trying to run the Democratic Party by other means. The Hill reported on July 8 that Hillary Clinton is planning to campaign and fundraise for Democratic congressional candidates in 2018. The article states that she will use her Super PAC, Onward Together, as a fundraising apparatus.

“She also is looking at the House districts she won in last year’s presidential contest against Donald Trump as part of an autopsy of her failed campaign, according to two sources who have spoken to the former secretary of state,” Amie Parnes, a co-author of Shattered: Inside Hillary Clinton’s Doomed Campaign, wrote for the Hill. Democratic leadership has continued to use Clinton’s strategies, even though Democratic candidate Jon Ossoff received a smaller share of the vote than Hillary Clinton did in the same district in Georgia’s special congressional election this year. Nationwide, Clinton won wealthy suburbs in record numbers, including 23 congressional districts that are currently held by Republicans. In an op-ed for Politico, Clinton staffer Jesse Ferguson wrote, “Democrats have to solidify the support of Romney-Clinton voters if they have any hope of retaking Congress.” The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) conducted focus groups on Americans who voted for Mitt Romneyy in 2012 and Hillary Clinton in 2016 to incorporate this strategy moving forward. In July 2016, Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer infamously said, “For every blue collar Democrat we lose in western Pennsylvania, we will pick up two moderate Republicans in the suburbs in Philadelphia, and you can repeat that in Ohio and Illinois and Wisconsin.” He was wrong and continuing to rely on this strategy ensures that the Democratic Party will remain in the minority indefinitely.

Texas Teen Electrocuted After Cell Phone Accidentally Falls in Bathtub

KCBD ^ | Monday, July 10th | Amber Stegall, Presley Fowler

A 14-year-old girl from Lubbock died early Sunday morning after being electrocuted in a bathtub.
Madison Coe's mother and grandmother tell us she was in the bathtub, and either plugged her phone in or simply grabbed her phone that was already plugged in. It happened at her father's house in Lovington, NM.
Madison just graduated 8th grade from Terra Vista Middle School in Frenship ISD.
"It is with heavy hearts that Frenship ISD mourns the loss of Madison Coe. We wish to share our heartfelt sympathy with her family and friends as we carry the burden of this tragedy together," officials with FISD said.
Madison was expected to attend high school in Houston, as her family was in the process of moving.
“I call her my shining star," her grandmother, Donna O'Guinn, said.
Madison Coe was a 14 year-old, wise beyond her years.
“She was very smart. Very good student in school. She just loved life," O'Guinn said.
Madison had so much of her life ahead of her, as she made an impact on those around her with her positivity and kindness.
She was a basketball player and the number one chair with her tuba in the band at Terra Vista Middle School.
“She was just sweet to everybody and everybody loved her," O'Guinn said.
As O'Guinn fights back the tears, she says it is hard to understand why her granddaughter’s life was taken far too soon.
Her family says Madison was in the bath tub and grabbed her phone that was plugged into a charger in a bathroom outlet.
“There was a burn mark on her hand, the hand that would have grabbed the phone. And that was just very obvious that that’s what had happened," O'Guinn said.
Madison's family believes this terrible accident is something that could happen to anyone.
But now their mission is to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
“This is such a tragedy that doesn’t need to happen to anyone else. And we want something good to come out of this as awareness of not using your cell phone in the bathroom as it is plugged in and charging," O'Guinn said.
The post about Coe on Facebook continues to be shared, opening up many eyes to the power of electricity, and the danger of plugging in any electrical appliance that isn’t water-proof, near water.
“It’s overwhelming to realize that there are people that we don’t even know and we’ll probably never even meet that have taken this message and shared it to protect another child or even an adult. We don’t want to lose anybody," O'Guinn said.
So as Madison’s family mourns her loss, they have hope that this message will resonate with anyone who hears it.
It’s the positivity she always carried with her, continuing to make a difference in the world.
“We need to be aware. We need to teach our children that electricity and water do not mix," O'Guinn said. "She’s just going to be greatly missed by all of us. She has a special place in my heart."
There will be a memorial service for Madison Coe on Saturday, July 15th, at 2:00 p.m. at Kings Ridge Church of Christ in Lubbock.
The address is 4201 98th Street.

Good News For Veterans: Trump Tells Hundreds Of VA Workers 'You're Fired!'

Investor's Business Daily ^ | 7/10/2017 | Staff

Accountability: For decades, political leaders have lamented the scandal-plagued Veterans Health Administration, and did little more than throw more money at the problem. The Trump administration is firing workers who aren't doing their jobs.
According the Department of Veterans Affairs, 526 have been fired for misconduct since President Trump took office. Another 200 have been suspended and 33 demoted.
Most of them worked at the VHA and included physicians, nurses, pharmacy technicians, food service workers, medical technicians, office workers, even some police officers.
VA Secretary David Shulkin said this was part of a broader effort to reform the culture at the VA.
"Veterans and taxpayers have a right to know what we're doing to hold our employees accountable and make our personnel actions transparent," he continued. "Posting this information online for all to see, and updating it weekly, will do just that."
Expect more terminations now that Trump has signed the VA Accountability and Whistleblower Protection Act, which strengthens Shulkin's ability to get rid of bad employees, including senior executives.
Contrast this with the Obama administration, which ceaselessly talked about accountability while providing little of it.
