Why Hate Trump When The People Attacking Him Are So Much Worse? ^ | July 8, 2017 | John Hawkins

The difficulty in judging any man is that his actions must be judged on both their merit and on the context of the times he lives in. Donald Trump is a product of the times in which we live.
Unfortunately, we live in a post-constitutional era. We live in a powerful nation that’s in a steep economic and moral decline. We live in a country where most Americans believe their kids won’t have it as good as they do. We live in a country that is spending money at an unsustainable rate, headed for a debt-driven economic collapse and no one is doing anything of significance about it.
In other words, this is one of the most dangerous times in our nation’s history.
Meanwhile, since the vast majority of Republicans in Congress have been indifferent, out of touch and unwilling to fight for the people who put them in office, many conservatives have given up on them. If they had a slogan, it would be, “If You Want More Than Talk, We’re Not Whom You Want.”
Worse yet, the Left is run by people who wouldn’t be acting much differently if their stated goal is to destroy the country.
Look at some of the most prominent people opposing Trump.
Hillary Clinton is a decrepit, hopelessly corrupt socialist crone who declared that Republicans were her enemies and was essentially treated as “Above the Law” by James Comey.
Speaking of James Comey, he leaked information to the press in hopes of getting a special prosecutor appointed. He’s lauded as some kind of moral paragon in D.C., but he’s proven himself to be a man without honor.
Then there’s Robert Mueller, the Special Prosecutor who was appointed to investigate Trump. He’s been heavily stocking his staff with Democrat donors, which tells you a lot about how real the supposed “integrity” that people keep harping on happens to be.
Speaking of leaking, liberals in the Deep State who hate Trump have shown they’re willing to damage national security to try to hurt him.
Over and over again, we’ve seen celebrities like Sarah Silverman, Joss Whedon, Snoop Dogg, Madonna and Johnny Depp encourage violence with nothing but support from the Left. The one exception was aging comedian Kathy Griffin. She walked out carrying a realistic mock-up of Donald Trump’s severed, bloody head and then claimed she was the real victim after Trump and his family complained about her ISIS-imitating stunt. Her only real crime in liberals’ eyes was to go so far over the top that conservatives were able to effectively use her attack against them. If not for that, they would have supported her, too.
Linda Sarsour helped run the large Day Without A Woman Protest. Just this week at a Muslim conference, she called for “Jihad” against Trump and encouraged Muslims not to assimilate.
The Fascist Left-Wing Antifa group, which has been listed as a terrorist organization by New Jersey, has engaged in anti-Trump violence and rioting.
After Trump tweeted out a funny, but childish GIF mocking CNN, not only did CNN accuse him of encouraging violence against it, which is silly, CNN tracked down the maker of the GIF and BLACKMAILED HIM. This is an actual excerpt from the CNN article.
CNN is not publishing "HanA**holeSolo's" name because he is a private citizen who has issued an extensive statement of apology, showed his remorse by saying he has taken down all his offending posts, and because he said he is not going to repeat this ugly behavior on social media again. In addition, he said his statement could serve as an example to others not to do the same.
CNN reserves the right to publish his identity should any of that change.
The mainstream media has disposed of all pretenses of impartiality to attack Trump non-stop; Trump supporters have been violently assaulted while the media shrugs it off; we’ve even had a congressman shot at a softball game by an angry, Trump-hating liberal who probably would have been given a job teaching at a university one day if he had lived and ever got out of prison.
The Republican Party is run by spiritless do-nothings who don’t care about anything other than their cushy jobs and taking care of the fat cats who pour money into their campaigns. The Democrats are run by malicious liberals who’ve never met a stupid idea that they don’t like. Meanwhile, the country is teetering on the verge of disaster.
Donald Trump didn’t create this reality and the fact that he doesn’t seem to fit in is a plus to a lot of people, rather than a minus. There are plenty of reasons to criticize Trump and people should do exactly that when he deserves it. However, it’s time to take off the blinders. Trump has been surprisingly good on foreign policy and has done more good than bad on the domestic side. Don’t sell your soul to defend anything you find indefensible, but as Donald Rumsfeld once said, “You go to war with the army you have---not the army you might want or wish to have at a later time.” Trump is the army we have and it’s time to support the troops instead of pretending that they’re worse than the people they’re fighting.

Drain the Swamp: Repeal McConnell, then Repeal Obamacare! ^ | July 8, 2017 | Arthur Schaper

On November 8th, the American people sent a clear message to Washington DC. We wanted to:
1. Make America Great Again—bring back jobs; reduce taxes; get rid of the IRS.
2. Secure our Borders—build the wall, beef up funding and hiring for border security; mandate E-verify.
3. Repeal Obamacare—and repeal all the other anti-free market, government interventionist programs disrupting our health care systems.
Most of the headlines I have read about Trump are welcome news, like the marked decrease in illegal alien crossings along our border, plus the rising number of arrests and deportations. Jobs are up, unemployment is down, and more states are prospering like never before.
Then I came across this article, a headline which I never want to see in the news:
McConnell Admits GOP May Not Repeal Obamacare
This is beyond outrageous. With strong majorities in both houses, plus an epic victory placing Neil Gorsuch on the Supreme Court after McConnell successful stalled Obama’s last nominee, one would think that advancing Trump’s agenda would not meet so many roadblocks. But US Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is not leading. In fact, he’s the Bluegrass roadblock! He still hasn’t gotten the memo that his kind of backroom, back-slapping, horse-trading Republicanism is just as dead as the Democratic Party.
I don’t want the “adults in the room” pretending to govern. We need an active agenda of reform, streamlining, and outright removal of Washington DC from interference with the rights of the states and the people. Where’s the border wall? Where’s the repeal for Obamacare? How about tax reform, welfare reform, and the National Right to Work bill? Swamp thing, thy name is Mitch.
The tax-paying, voting public is getting restless, and we don’t have a real penchant for mincing words, either. We the People spoke loudly and clearly on Election Day. Republicans swept state legislatures in normally blue states as well as retaining power in the House and the United States Senate. Governors’ seats fell into Republicans hands, too. The Democratic Party is losing big, and they can cry if they want to, not that anyone really cares. Trump supporters are destroying the once-preeminent establishment of Big Media as well as Big Business and Big Labor, all the corrupt special interests which had been getting rich while Americans were growing poor.
Sadly, the Establishment GOP, Washington “progressive” Republicans like Mitch are still holding onto the reins of power. McConnell’s meandering capitulation on Obamacare is the last straw. Besides, the US Senate’s latest iteration of repeal met a brick wall of its own. For Cruz, Lee, Johnson, and Paul, It didn’t do enough to repeal. As for the pro-choice Republicans, they don’t want to defund Planned Murderhood, and Dean Heller of Nevada fears the bluish contour of his electorate. Does McConnell want to repeal Obamacare? Senate Leader Mitch refuses to lead.
My answer: step up, put up or shut up. True leadership depends on having a plan of action, fulfilling the promises that you ran on to win, and that got you elected to higher office. This round of failures, this foppish unwillingness to fight for anything but one’s cushy retirement and an elected sinecure in one’s home state is too much to tolerate.
This country needs a majority leader in the United States Senate who will step up to the challenges of unifying an otherwise unwieldy caucus of moderate to conservative members. Jeff Flake is facing primary challenge, so he should get along with the will of the conservative grassroots, or get lost. If US Senator Heller doesn’t want to follow through on a nation-wide promise to repeal Obamacare, then McConnell should confront Heller with US Senator Cory Gardner, the current chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee: “Repeal Obamacare with us, or forget the funding for your re-election bid.”
This country needs a majority leader who will put up a real fight with the Democrats. Does McConnell even know how to count? There are 52 Republicans, and they can count on Vice President Pence to break a tie if needed. Cryin’ Chuck Schumer is as toxic to his endangered peers for Election 2018 as is Nancy Pelosi for her dwindling Democratic caucus.
I say McConnell needs to shut up, pack up, and take off. This man is the lingering vestiges of nice-nice, bi-partisan cronyism. Log-rolling is not going to save our country, especially when the Democratic Party has embraced political views so anti-constitutional and un-American.
Future Republican leaders need to take another look at the battleground map going into 2018. They have a solid chance at 5 easy wins, with possibly three more pickups. The caucus has the upper hand. We don’t need squishy compromisers more interested in keeping the peace, while the rest of us pay dearly for their comity. It’s time to bring down this reign of error in Washington. The grassroots with the House’s conservative leadership lead the charge to bounce John Boehner from the Speakership two years ago. What would it take to repeal McConnell? Surely getting rid of McConnell could not be that difficult—and Obamacare repeal would follow.

Sanctuary City NYC Released Illegal Alien with Felony Charges!

Breitbart ^ | 7 Jul 2017 | John Binder

An illegal alien with pending felony charges was released by New York City law enforcement as requests by federal immigration officials continue to be ignored due to prevailing sanctuary city policies.

Najee Antonio Clarke, a Jamaican national, entered the United States on a foreign B-2 visitor visa back in June 2010, according to officials with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency.

Clarke was supposed to leave the U.S. in December 2010 but instead over-stayed his visa, remaining in the country for the next six years.

The Jamaican national with pending felony charges was arrested on June 16 by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) deportation officers.

The Death of CNN and the Mainstream Media

IWB ^ | Robert Carbery

The meme war has begun. CNN has brought this upon themselves. Blackmailing a Reddit user for putting some inappropriate things on the internet is not a media company’s job. They are butthurt over the Trump takedown video. And they are reaping what they sow.

They talk about the president inciting violence by retweeting a meme with Trump taking down CNN in a Wrestlemania video when they are the ones who gave a platform to someone who literally tried to attack Trump at a speech during last year’s presidential campaign. This same network hired Bob Beckel after he called for the assassination of Julian Assange.

This “news” network recently employed a host who held up a blood-soaked decapitated head of the president and was just interviewed by the Secret Service for an hour. And the CNN anchors are afraid they are under attack by a tweet posted as a joke.

CNN is a joke and the rest of the country is finally catching up to this fact.

Ex-Gay Is Here to Stay: The whole myth of homosexuality being “innate and immutable” has been expose

Townhall ^ | 07/07/2017 | Michael Brown

For 11 years, the Truth Wins Out website aggressively attacked those who claimed to be ex-gay, along with individuals and organizations that supported ex-gays. Last month, Wayne Besen, the founder of Truth Wins Out, announced that he was closing shop because, he claimed, “we accomplished our major goals.”
What, exactly, were those goals? Wayne writes, “We helped expose and ultimately vanquish (with the help of other heroes) major ‘ex-gay’ programs including Love Won Out, Exodus International, and JONAH.” Still, he reluctantly notes, “similar programs will always exist, as charlatans will provide a supply of snake oil to fill a demand.”
The reality is quite the opposite. It is true that some specific networks and ministries no longer exist. But it is more and more common for local churches to help individuals struggling with same-sex attraction, meaning that this is not only a specialist ministry.
Not only so, but the ultimate reason Exodus closed was because it lost sight of its mission, which was helping men and women deal with unwanted same-sex attraction. That’s why the most important organizations that were affiliated with Exodus left before it closed. And that’s why those organizations are still going strong to this day.
In fact, new groups like Restored Hope Network have risen up in place of Exodus, and they are not selling snake oil. They are selling the truth of the gospel, namely, that Jesus can help and change anyone and everyone. He does not exclude homosexuals from His transforming love.
Professional counselors and therapists have seen great results too, and they continue to network together to help those who struggle.
There’s something else that has happened, making it more difficult for organizations like Truth Wins Out to raise funds and continue their work. More and more people have friends, family members, and co-workers who are ex-gay, and so it’s becoming increasingly difficult to deny their existence.
Some of these ex-gays are in wonderful, heterosexual relationships and have been for decades. Others have seen a real decrease in same-sex attraction in their lives, for which they’re thrilled. And others are still attracted to the same sex but recognize this as wrong in God’s sight and contrary to His design, and they are enjoying their new lives in God, even as singles.
In all cases, “gay” no longer defines them, and there are too many of these precious men and women to ignore. In fact, I’m facing a new problem now. I’m getting flooded with requests to write endorsements or forewords to books by men and women who formerly lived as gay, bisexual, or transgender. That is who they were. It is not who they are.
Not only so, but the whole myth of homosexuality being “innate and immutable” has been exposed, with some gay activists even saying that they don’t need to use the argument anymore, acknowledging that sexuality is fluid. As a recent headline in USA Today announced, “'Born this way'? It's way more complicated than that.’”
Regarding the notion that some people are born gay and can’t change – something that has been a central mantra of gay activism for decades – the article notes that, “many members of the LGBTQ community reject this narrative, saying it only benefits people who feel their sexuality and gender are fixed rather than fluid, and questioning why the dignity of gay people should rest on the notion that they were gay from their very first breath.”
Old myths die hard, but they do eventually die.
As for Wayne Besen himself, he is certainly a tireless, take no prisoners campaigner, and in his final Truth Wins Out statement, he listed his many accomplishments.
As for those whose efforts he did not appreciate, he spared no venom.
Accordingly, in 2011, after I worked with a group of several hundred Christians who handed out 2,500 bottles of “Jesus Loves You” water at a gay pride event in Charlotte, North Carolina, Wayne branded me an “anti-gay monster.”
He wrote that my “game is to try inciting followers to possible violence against LGBT people, while innocently maintaining that he loves homosexuals and simply wants them to meet his militant and perverted version of God.”
He called me “a slick dude,” a “sick and cynical” person, someone with “a messiah complex [who] is a diabolical individual who aims to manipulate impressionable followers to launch some sort of holy war,” noting however, that, I’m “too much of a coward to start the war” myself.
He confessed, “I do strongly believe to my core that Brown’s ultimate goal is to create the conditions for a nasty physical clash.” Indeed, he wrote, “The madman fully understands that he only has to create a hostile climate to inflame the most unstable of his thugs and they will eventually provoke the type of confrontation that this pathological monster deeply desires.”
What makes this really sad is that, to my knowledge, Wayne actually believed what he wrote, meaning that he lived in a terrifying world of false reality. What an awful place that must be, where you imagine that peace-loving, followers of Jesus who would lay down their lives for the LGBT community are actually pathological monsters planning a violent assault.
I once interacted with Wayne on the very-liberal David Pakman show, telling him that it was his rhetoric, not mine, that was dangerous. I also asked him why it was that those who listened to my teaching most carefully showed the most love for the LGBT community. You can judge our interaction for yourself here.
The bad news is that a bullying, falsely-accusing spirit is on the rise today, as gay activists and their allies try to stop people with unwanted same-sex attractions from getting help, beginning with minors. (In other words, “Thou shalt be gay, like it or not.”)
The good news is that, in the end, truth always wins out (see 2 Corinthians 13:8), which is why an organization like Wayne Besen’s “Truth Wins Out” actually proclaimed its own demise the moment it was named.
As for Wayne himself, I appreciate his passion, I admire his focus, and despite the venom in his words, I enjoy his literary touch. And so, without the slightest animosity towards him, as a fellow Jew, I pray that he would come to know the one who is Truth Himself, Jesus our Messiah and Lord.
If He could transform me, a heterosexual sinner, he could transform anyone, including Wayne Besen. An ever-growing number of ex-gay readers say, “Amen!”

Trump administration has fired more than 500 VA employees since January!

Washington Examiner ^ | July 7, 2017 | Sarah Westwood

Department of Veterans Affairs officials have fired more than 500 misbehaving employees since January, according to data posted online Friday.

VA Secretary David Shulkin touted his agency's decision to publish its efforts to hold VA employees accountable, unveiling new requirements for updating the public on personnel actions.

"Veterans and taxpayers have a right to know what we're doing to hold our employees accountable and make our personnel actions transparent," Shulkin said in a statement. "Posting this information online for all to see, and updating it weekly, will do just that."
