CNN Is Breeding a Post-Millennial Generation of MAGA-Loving Rebels

The National Review ^ | July 6, 2017 | Tiana Lowe

It has become crystal clear that CNN still has no clue why Hillary and the establishment lost.

On the Fourth of July, CNN managed to out-petty the president, further corrode its credibility, and kick-start the Trump 2020 ground game in one fell swoop. After President Trump tweeted a modified GIF of himself at an old pro-wrestling match, in which he is seen clobbering a man with the CNN logo superimposed on his head, CNN chose the low road. Rather than denounce the president’s tweet as unpresidential and move on with actual journalism, the network instead had a public, 72-hour meltdown, which included an inane hunt to punish the creator of the meme that apparently originated on r/The_Donald, a pro-Trump Internet forum on Reddit.
On Wednesday, CNN published an article by Andrew Kaczynski titled “How CNN found the Reddit user behind the Trump wrestling GIF,” describing in scrupulous detail how the “KFile” team unearthed the identity of the user “HanA**holeSolo,” who created the GIF. “Using identifying information that ‘HanA**holeSolo’ posted on Reddit,” Kaczynski wrote, “KFile was able to determine key biographical details, to find the man’s name using a Facebook search and ultimately corroborate details he had made available on Reddit.”(continued)

Thanks, Obama: The U.S. Still Can't Defend Against North Korea Nukes

Investor's Business Daily ^ | 7/6/2017 | Staff

Missile Defense: North Korea's successful test of an intercontinental ballistic missile has everyone talking about missile defense, and the fact that the U.S. doesn't seem to have one that could stop a madman like Kim Jong-un. You can blame antimissile defense Democrats for this.
Shortly after the North Korea test, Politico ran an article pointing out that "the Pentagon and its contractors still haven't figured out how to reliably shoot down an intercontinental ballistic missile."
The Missile Defense Agency did in late May destroy a mock ICBM launched from the Marshall Islands with an interceptor launched from the Vandenberg Air Force B Base in California. But the system has failed in previous heavily scripted attempts.
And MDA director Vice Admiral James Syring told a House committee recently that "I would not say we are comfortably ahead of the threat. I would say we are addressing the threat."
What no one commenting on this troubling gap mentions is why it is there at all. News accounts are quick to point out that $189.7 billion has been spent on missile defense since President Reagan announced his vision in 1983, which is supposed to seem like a lot of money.
But that doesn't tell the whole story.
The truth is that the country would be well ahead of where we are now on missile defense if Democrats — including, most recently, President Obama — hadn't spent the past 30 years trying to derail the project.

New Mandatory Army Training Tells Female Soldiers They Must ‘Accept’ Naked Men in Their Showers

thegatewaypundit ^ | Cristina Laila

New Army training is telling female soldiers that they just have to accept showering naked next to men. The soldier may have ‘physical characteristics of the opposite sex despite having the same gender marker’. Makes sense.

Why is this happening under a Trump presidency? The American people voted to stop this insanity!

The Federalist reported:
Late into President Obama’s last term, his military officials allowed transgender soldiers to serve openly, even funding gender-change surgeries with taxpayer dollars. Former Defense Secretary Ash Carter set a July 1 deadline for all four military branches to write policies for accepting openly transgender enlistments. Formerly, soldiers exhibiting gender dysphoria were automatically discharged.

The Surprising Connection between Tim Tebow and Aaron Judge

Jewish World Review ^ | 7/6/2017 | Alicia Colon

At first glance there doesn't seem to be any connection between these two famous American athletes.(snip)
Aaron Judge is a New York Yankee rookie who has created quite a stir leading the league in spectacular home runs. The connection between these two is that both their mothers allowed them to live.
Tebow was born in 1985 and the family moved to the Philippines where they served as Baptist missionaries and built a ministry. Prior to becoming pregnant with Tim, his mother contracted amoebic dysentery and fell into a coma. She discovered she was pregnant while recovering.
Because of the medications used to treat her, the fetus experienced a severe placental abruption. Doctors expected a stillbirth and recommended an abortion. The Tebows decided against it citing their strong faith and on August 14, 1987, she gave birth to Tim in Manila.
Not much is known at this time about Aaron Judge's birth mother but he was adopted the day after his birth by Patty and Wayne Judge, who both worked as teachers.
Aaron was told he was adopted when he was ten years old after asking his parents why he didn't look like them. He also has an older brother, John, who is also adopted. While we know very little about his birth parents, we do know that he is a Christian and frequently tweets about his faith during religious holidays like Christmas and Easter.
This is another connection with Tim Tebow who was very demonstrative about his faith while in the NFL.
While Aaron Judge has been very private about his faith, he has been drawing tons of attention with the power of his bat. He is 6'7", weighs 282 pounds and has hit record-defying home runs which have brought fans to the Yankee games even while they are on

New holes in Loretta Lynch’s story on the Hillary probe!

New York Post ^ | 7/6/2017 | Paul Sperry

When former Attorney General Loretta Lynch testified last year about her decision not to prosecute Hillary Clinton for mishandling classified information, she swore she never talked to “anyone” on the Clinton campaign. That categorical denial, though made in response to a series of questions about whether she spoke with Clintonworld about remaining attorney general if Hillary won the election, could come back to haunt her.
The Senate Judiciary Committee, which has launched a bipartisan investigation into Lynch for possible obstruction of justice, recently learned of the existence of a document indicating Lynch assured the political director of Clinton’s campaign she wouldn’t let FBI agents “go too far” in probing the former secretary of state.
Lynch’s lawyer says she is cooperating with committee investigators, who are seeking answers to several questions, as well as relevant documents. Among other things, they want to know if she or any of her Justice Department staff “ever communicated with Amanda Renteria,” who headed Clinton’s political operations during the campaign. Renteria, who has been identified in the document as the senior Clinton campaign aide with whom Lynch privately communicated, has also been asked to testify.
The committee also wants to know if Lynch or any of her aides were in contact with former DNC chief Debbie Wasserman Schultz regarding the Clinton email investigation, according to a three-page list of questions that Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley and ranking Democrat Dianne Feinstein recently sent to Lynch at her New York apartment.
Senate investigators have combed through a transcript of Lynch’s testimony before the House Judiciary Committee in July 2016. In retrospect, several of her statements strain credulity. But one in particular stands out, and could present legal problems for Lynch.

Prof: Colleges must train 'social justice warriors' to fight Trump!

Campus Reform ^ | 7/6/17 | Toni Airaksinen

Higher education has “a special mission to educate the next generation of Social Justice Warriors,” according to a recent op-ed by two academics.
“With the Trump Administration proposing massive cuts to social programs...the Nation faces catastrophic consequences for its social sustainability,” assert Mount Ida College professor James Martin and James E. Samels, CEO of The Education Alliance, in an op-ed published Monday by University Business [emphasis in original].
Unambiguously titled “Social justice university: educating the next generation of social justice warriors,” the op-ed uses Southern Connecticut State University as a case study for the role that the authors believe higher education should play in promoting social activism among students.
“Driven by doing good and doing well, higher education has a special mission to educate the next generation of Social Justice Warriors,” they assert. “These Warriors will be educated, empowered, and self-motivated to advocate for equal rights, opportunities, and privileges—welcoming everyone to citizenship, colleagueship, and civic compassion” [emphasis in original].
Praising Southern Connecticut as “an early adopter of the American social justice mission,” Martin and Samels note that the university now has a doctoral degree program in Social Work to complement its existing graduate and undergraduate programs, making it the 11th institution in the country to offer a Doctorate of Social Work.
In addition, they point out that the university’s president, Joe Bertolino, “was one of the first college and university presidents to urge President Trump to take a forceful stance against harassment, hate crimes, and acts of violence,” and had previously said he wants people to think of Southern Connecticut “as the university dedicated to social justice.”
Neither Martin nor Samels responded to a request for comment. SCSU did not respond to a general inquiry either.
