The Clintons ditch two of the most controversial parts of their foundation as they quit Haiti

Daily Mail UK ^ | February 4, 2017

The Clintons ditch two of the most controversial parts of their charity foundation as they quit Haiti and admit donations plunged amid controversy over Hillary
The Clinton Foundation is plotting its next step, shedding two of its most politically problematic
programs, along with the annual Clinton Global Initiative A defiant Bill Clinton wrote a letter this week about the charity's future, lambasting the 'unprecedented' and 'misleading' political attacks
The charity's president confirmed that donations were down last year, as the foundation was at the center of pay-to-play political attacks on Hillary Clinton
The Clinton Foundation is shedding two of its most politically problematic programs, while Bill Clinton is asking for supporters' advice on where to take his family's charity arm next.
Being spun into separate entities are the foundation's initiatives in the country of Haiti, along with the Clinton Giustra Enterprise Partnership, named after a billionaire backer of the couple.
Additionally, the Clinton Global Initiative, the annual meet-and-greet in New York City between celebrities, rock stars, activists, dignitaries and Clintons, officially closed up shop in recent weeks.
In an interview with the New York Times, Clinton Foundation President Donna Shalala admitted that donations dropped thanks to the political climate of last year. 'Last year was a tough year,' she admitted, 'because people were beating on us with nonsense.'
While Shalala confirmed that donations were down, she added that some of the decreased funding was because of voluntary restriction the charity abided by so to not complicate Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign.
Additionally, because the charity's biggest stars – Bill and Chelsea Clinton – were spending so much time on the campaign trial, they didn't have room in their schedules for fundraising.

Delta to hire 25,000 workers, CEO meets with Trump ^ | Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017 | Yamanouchi Kelly

Delta Air Lines CEO Ed Bastian announced after a meeting of airline chiefs with President Donald Trump that the carrier plans to hire 25,000 people over the next five years.
Atlanta-based Delta has about 80,000 employees around the world, and hires regularly in some areas due to  turnover. The company did not specify in its statement whether the 25,000 figure includes replacement hiring due to attrition, what the hiring might be contingent on and how much of it would be organic growth of the airline.
Bastian in a written statement released after the Thursday morning meeting of airline CEOs with Trump at the White House said the hiring would be done “with the support of a level playing field globally.” Delta executives have been raising concerns about what they say is an un-level playing field with Middle East carriers that they say unfairly receive subsidies from their governments and fly to the United States.

When “D” stands for dementia

Flopping Aces ^ | 02-09-17 | DrJohn

The democrat party is old. Really old. As he headed out the door, Harry Reid remarked that in 2020 the democrat party would be an “old folks home”:
“It depends on who’s running. It appears we’re going to have an old folks’ home. We’ve got [Elizabeth] Warren; she’ll be 71. Biden will be 78. Bernie [Sanders] will be 79.”
Old. Unfortunately, the graying of the democrat party is really starting to become painfully obvious. Dementia is insidious. It creeps up on you surreptitiously. It began showing up a few years ago when democrat Hank Johnson (D) expressed a concern about Guam:
democrat Senator Elizabeth Warren (D) believes she is part American Indian
Nancy Pelosi (D) thinks George Bush is still President
hillary clinton (D) wants to do away with men
And Maxine Waters (D) wants Donald Trump impeached because Vladimir Putin is invading Korea.

White House Preparing Exec Order To Stuff ISIS Detainees In Guantanamo Bay! ^ | 2/8/17 | Jonah Bennett

The White House is finishing an executive order that would instruct the Pentagon to send Islamic State detainees to Guantanamo Bay.

The Obama administration notably refused to send ISIS fighters captured in the fight to the detention facility, but for President Donald Trump, it’s imperative to take high-level radical Islamic terrorists out of the fight, The New York Times reports.

For some, the order could function as a de facto tripwire because it could allow federal judges to rule on whether the war against ISIS is actually legal, since Congress has declined to offer any explicit authorization. Instead, the Obama administration has relied on war authorization granted in 2001, saying that the fight against ISIS is just a continuation of the fight against al-Qaida and the Taliban.

Right. You’re Mr. Universe, champ.

First time since 2001, more than half of Americans say ‘it’s a good time to find a quality job’

WISH ^ | February 9, 2017 | Melissa Turpin

(WISH) – Gallup has been tracking a question for 16 years, and for the first time more than half of Americans say “it’s a good time to find a quality job.”
According to the study, in January 50 percent of Americans agreed it’s a good time to find a quality job, whereas in February it increased to 54 percent.
In January 2007, Gallup recorded the nation’s job climate was 48 percent. In January 2008 it decreased to 33 percent. In Nov. 2009, it hit a record-low of 8 percent. In Oct. 2009, the United States unemployment rate was 10.2 percent.
“Gallup’s latest reading of job market optimism, based on a Feb. 1-5 poll, coincides with improved perceptions among American workers about hiring activity in their own places of employment,” According to the study. “Federal data affirm these employee reports, as the U.S. unemployment rate has remained at or below 5 percent for 17 consecutive months.”
Gallup said since President Donald Trump was elected, Gallup has recorded a boost in economic confidence. After Trump’s inauguration, 64 percent of Republicans agreed it’s a good time to find a job. That number is twice as high as the 24 percent who thought this before the election.
In addition, after Trump’s inauguration Democrats were less likely to speak optimism for the job market in the United State. Since Trump’s inauguration, it has decreased 10 points bringing it to 45 percent. Despite the decrease, Democrats remain positive about job conditions and are much more positive than Republicans were when Barack Obama was president.
“People’s optimism is affected by the political lens through which they view the country’s economic health. However, the overall trend in the quality job measure has generally tracked with official statistics about how the job market is doing, including the severe drop after the Great Recession and the improved outlook in recent years as unemployment has reached the lowest point in a decade.”
The results of this study were conducted through telephone interviews Feb. 1 through Feb. 5. 1,035 random adults aged 18 and older in all 50 states and the District Of Columbia were part of the study.

Most Government Workers Could Be Replaced By Robots, New Study Finds ^ | Feb 8, 2017 11:15 PM | by Tyler Durden

A study by a British think tank, Reform, says that 90% of British civil service workers have jobs so pointless, they could easily be replaced by robots, saving the government around $8 billion per year.
The study, published this week, says that robots are “more efficient” at collecting data, processing paperwork, and doing the routine tasks that now fall to low-level government employees. Even nurses and doctors, who are government employees in the UK, could be relieved of some duties by mechanical assistants.
There are “few complex roles” in civil service, it seems, that require a human being to handle.
“Twenty percent of public-sector workers hold strategic, ‘cognitive’ roles,” Reform’s press release on the study says. “They will use data analytics to identify patterns—improving decision-making and allocating workers most efficiently.
“The NHS, for example, can focus on the highest risk patients, reducing unnecessary hospital admissions. UK police and other emergency services are already using data to predict areas of greatest risk from burglary and fire.”
The problem, Reform says, is that public sector employee unions have bloated the civil service ranks, forcing government agencies to keep on older employees, and mandating hiring quotas for new ones. The organizational chart looks like a circuit board—and there’s no incentive to streamline anything.
Unfortunately for civil service workers, it seems the study is just the latest in a series of research that won’t save their jobs. Oxford University and financial services provider Deloitte, both of whom comissioned their own studies concur with Reform‘s conclusions. The Oxford University study said that more than 850,000 public sector jobs could fall to robots over the course of the next decade.

Federal Warrants issued for undocumented Travis County Inmates

Immigration agents are now issuing federal arrest warrants for people booked into the Travis County jail suspected of being in the U.S. Illegally.

The move will force Travis County Sheriff to hold the inmates without a detainer.

It comes in response to her newly announced Sanctury Policy - which holds suspects only if they were charged with certain violent crimes, or if agents obtained an arrest warrant.

Out of work: Chelsea Clinton's husband Marc Mezvinsky shut down his hedge fund in December

U.K. Daily Mail ^ | 2/8/2017 | Chris Spargo

(Full article title: Out of work: Chelsea Clinton's husband Marc Mezvinsky shut down his hedge fund in December just weeks after Hillary lost election)

Marc Mezvinsky quietly shut down his hedge fund Eaglevale Partners back in December.
Bloomberg reports that Mr. Chelsea Clinton and his partners are now working to return money to investors, including Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd C. Blankfein.
The decision to shutter the fund came just a few weeks after Mezvinsky's mother-in-law Hillary lost the election to president Donald Trump.
Mezvinsky has kept a low profile ever since Hillary's loss in the election, but was photographed by heading out for a weekday jog in the middle of the afternoon last week.
He and his wife are now both without a full-time job.
The failure is a huge personal blow to Mezvinsky, who is also the son of political figures, albeit less well known that his wife's famed parents.
His father, Edward Mezvinsky, represented Iowa's 1st congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives for two terms in the 1970s and his mother, Marjorie Margolies, represented Pennsylvania from 1993 to 1995.
Ed Mezvinsky pleaded guilty to 31 charges of felony fraud in 2001 and spent five years in federal prison after he admitted scamming his friends and family out of $10 million in a Ponzi scheme.

Protests didn’t hurt Reagan, and they’re not going to stop Trump!

The Washington Post's PostEverything ^ | February 8, 2017 | Julian Zelizer

Is President Trump in the process of imploding? Some see reason to think so. Given the major fallout over his travel ban, ranging from the spontaneous protests that have broken out worldwide to a federal judge ruling that the ban needed to be stopped, it seems as though Trump is struggling. Over the past few days, many commentators have pointed to the president’s abysmally low approval ratings, with 53 percent of Americans unhappy with the way that he has handled the job, as evidence that his power may be vastly limited by his unpopularity. With Trump madly (and impotently) tweeting about “so-called” judges, the weekend has offered a real sense that this president can be stopped.
Yet his opponents probably should not start uncorking the champagne bottles just yet.
Ronald Reagan, whose approval ratings fell from 51 percent in his first year as president to a meager 34 percent by 1982, was also the focus of international and domestic fury. Reagan triggered an international uproar when he insisted on the deployment of 572 intermediate-range nuclear force missiles in Western Europe, fulfilling a NATO agreement that had been finalized in 1979. When Reagan moved forward this plan, there was an outcry from New York to the streets of Paris....

If only we were able to deport citizens, we could use Trump's new policy of excluding those who are "hostile" toward our country to get rid of Judge James Robart.

Judge Robart's veto of Trump's travel ban notwithstanding, there is not the slightest question but that the president, in his sole discretion, can choose to admit or exclude any foreigners he likes, based on "the interests of the United States.”

The Clinton administration used the executive branch's broad power over immigration to send a 6-year-old boy back to a communist dictatorship. The courts were completely powerless to stop him.

As explained by the federal appellate court that ruled on Elian Gonzalez's asylum application: "It is the duty of the Congress and of the executive branch to exercise political will," and "in no context is the executive branch entitled to more deference than in the context of foreign affairs," which includes immigration.

The court acknowledged that Elian might well be subjected to "re-education," "communist indoctrination" and "political manipulation." (Then again, so would enrolling him at Sidwell Friends.) It didn't matter! Sending little boys back to communist dictatorships was the policy of the Clinton administration.

The Obama administration's immigration policy was to ensure that millions of poverty-stricken foreigners would come here and help turn our country into a Mexican version of Pakistan.

When Arizona merely tried to enforce the federal immigration laws being ignored by the Obama administration, the entire media erupted in rage at this incursion into the majestic power of the president over immigration. They said it was like living in Nazi Germany!

The most reviled section of the act, melodramatically called the "Papers Please" law, was upheld by the Supreme Court. But the other parts, allowing state officials to enforce federal immigration laws, were ruled unconstitutional. A president's policy choice to ignore immigration laws supersedes a state's right to enforce them.

The court conceded that hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens were arrested in Arizona each year, that they were responsible for "a disproportionate share of serious crime," and that illegals constituted nearly 6 percent of Arizona's population.

But Arizona was powerless to enforce laws on the books -- if those laws happened to be about immigration. The president's authority over immigration is absolute and exclusive, as part of his authority over foreign policy.

To review:

-- When the president's immigration policy is to promote international communism: The president wins.

-- When the president's immigration policy is to transform America into a different country: The president wins.

-- But when the president's immigration policy is to protect Americans: Some piss-ant judge announces that his authority exceeds that of the president.

This is exactly what I warned you about in Adios, America: The Left's Plan to Turn Our Country into a Third World HellholeNothing Trump does will be met with such massive resistance as his immigration policies.

The left used to attack America by spying for Stalin, aiding our enemies, murdering cops and blowing up buildings. But, then liberals realized, it's so much more effective to just do away with America altogether!

Teddy Kennedy gave them their chance with the 1965 immigration act. Since then, we've been taking in more than a million immigrants a year, 90 percent from comically primitive cultures. They like the welfare, but have very little interest in adopting the rest of our culture.

In many parts of the country, you're already not living in America. Just a few more years, and the transformation will be complete. There will be a North American landmass known as "the United States," but it won't be our country.

The only thing that stands between America and oblivion is a total immigration moratorium. We are well past the point of quick fixes -- as Judge Robart's delusional ruling proves.

The judiciary, both political parties, the media, Hollywood, corporate America and approximately 1 million lobbying groups are all working frantically to bring the hardest cases to our shores. Left-wing traitors, who used to honeymoon in Cuba and fight with peasant revolutionaries in Peru, toil away, late into the night, to ensure that genocidal Rwandans can move to America and immediately start collecting food stamps, Medicaid and Social Security.

No matter how clearly laws are written, government bureaucrats connive to import people from countries that a majority of Americans would not want to visit, much less become. Federal judges issue lunatic rulings to ensure that there will never be a pause in the transformation of America.

Congress could write laws requiring immigrants to pay taxes, learn English, forgo welfare and have good moral character. It could write laws giving the president authority to exclude aliens in the public interest.

Except it already has. Those laws were swept away by INS officials, federal judges and Democratic administrations -- under ferocious pressure from America-hating, left-wing groups.

The country will not be safe until the following outfits are out of business:

The ACLU's Immigrants' Rights Project; the National Immigration Forum; the National Immigration Law Center; the National Immigration Project of the National Lawyers Guild; the National Network for Immigrant and Refugee Rights; the Office of Migration and Refugee Services; the American Immigration Law Foundation; the American Immigration Lawyers Association; the Border Information and Outreach Service; Atlas: DIY; the Catholic Legal Immigration Network; the Clearinghouse for Immigrant Education; the Farmworker Justice Fund; Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees; the Immigrant Legal Resource Center; the International Center for Migration, Ethnicity and Citizenship; the Lesbian and Gay Immigration Rights Task Force; the Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service; the National Association for Bilingual Education; the National Clearinghouse on Agricultural Guest Worker Issues; the National Coalition for Dignity and Amnesty for Undocumented Immigrants; the National Coalition for Haitian Rights; the National Council of La Raza; and the National Farm Worker Ministry.

And that's only a small fraction of the anti-American immigration groups assiduously dragging the Third World to our shores -- while you were busy working.

Look at that list -- look at Judge Robart's ruling! -- and ask yourself: Is it possible that anything short of a total immigration moratorium can save this country? Only when there is no immigration to bellyache about will these nuts be forced to think of a new way to destroy America.

Conservative Grassroots Leaders Plan Massive Pro-Trump Demonstrations Nationwide ^ | February 8, 2017

Conservative grassroots leaders are planning a series of massive pro-President Donald Trump rallies nationwide, Breitbart News has learned exclusively.

On Feb. 27 and March 4, the rallies—dubbed the Spirit of America Rallies—will spring up nationwide in cities and towns across America.

“These rallies are inclusive, non-partisan, and open to anyone supporting President Trump in his efforts to bring back manufacturing jobs to America, put the security of our nation ahead of political correctness, improve our infrastructure, revitalize the inner cities and secure our nation’s borders,” Debbie Dooley, a national co-founder of the Tea Party movement and a key organizer of the Spirit of America rallies, says in a press release obtained by Breitbart News ahead of its public release.

Week after calling for military coup, Sarah Silverman offers some advice on how to fight Trump

Rare ^ | February 8, 2017 | Douglas Barclay

Last week, comedienne Sarah Silverman had to retract some comments she made about the military rising up against President Donald Trump. Silverman has been an active supporter of the “Resistance,” or “Resist” movement, which uses social media to rail against President Trump and his political policies.
She would later walk back that statement, saying “FEAR can motivate even peacenik snowflakes 2 incite violence & last night I felt it hard.”
Shortly after the Senate voted to confirm new Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos, TMZ caught up with Silverman to ask her what’s next.
“All you can do is [use] our vote and protest and see where we put our money…we’re not seen as citizens, we’re seen as consumers,” Silverman told TMZ’s cameras.
According to Silverman, she recently made a small move to do her part against money in politics.
“I took my money out of my bank and took it to a credit union,” she said. “Credit unions are not for profit, they are cooperative. They do everything a bank does…”
“Banks are for profit, they fund things like big oil, and GMO farming and stuff that I don’t believe in,” she added.

Several arrested as deportation fear prompts Phoenix protest

Red Deer News Now ^ | February 8, 2017 | Astrid Galvan and Bob Seavey, The Associated Press and The Canadian Press

PHOENIX — Police made several arrests as protesters blocked enforcement vans from leaving a U.S. immigration office in Phoenix late Wednesday, fearing that a mother of two was headed for deportation.
The protest surged at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility after Guadalupe Garcia de Rayos was taken into custody during a routine check-in with the agency, according to media reports.
The activists said it was an attempt by President Donald Trump's administration to deport immigrants living in the country illegally who had previously not been a priority for deportation under the Obama administration....

Republicans Introduce Bill To Eliminate The Department Of Education

Republican congressman Thomas Massie (R-KY) introduced a bill to abolish the Department of Education on the very same day that Betsy DeVos was confirmed as the Department’s new secretary.

Arguably one of the more succinct bills in the Congressional history, the bill consists of a single sentence reading: “The Department of Education shall terminate on December 31, 2018.”

Dear GOP: Gird Your Loins over the Supreme Court

American Thinker | February 9, 2017 | Trevor Thomas

If you think the riots and marches are bad now, wait until President Trump gets a chance at filling a second or even third vacancy on the Supreme Court of the United States. The "nastiness," vulgarities, property damage, and violence we see now are nothing compared to what we will witness if the American left see the legality of their perverse sexual agenda threatened.
With the nomination of Justice Neil Gorsuch to fill the seat vacated as a result of the death of Antonin Scalia, liberals at every level of political involvement are already throwing a hissy-fit. After Trump chose Gorsuch, radical left-winger Michael Moore threatened Senate Democrats via his Twitter account, declaring, "This Supreme Court pick was Obama's to make and it was stolen by Republicans. Democrats had better block this and demand a nom we approve." Moore continued, "Senate Dems, let's be very clear: You will filibuster & block this SC nom or we will find a true progressive and primary u in next election."

When Democrat senator Chris Coons (Del.) hinted that he might not support a filibuster of Gorsuch, the response from liberal activists was swift and stern. Progressive Change Campaign Committee co-founder Stephanie Taylor warned Coons (and anyone like-minded):

There is zero appetite among the public for weakness from Democratic politicians. Especially after Republicans stole a Supreme Court seat, Coons and all Senate Democrats should join Sen. Jeff Merkley's filibuster of Trump's Supreme Court nominee, Gorsuch. That's the kind of backbone the public needs to see right now.
Upon Antonin Scalia's death, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell told all of America that the election would decide Scalia's replacement.

Not So Fast, UN: The US Owes No 'Reparations' to Blacks!

American Thinker ^ | February 9, 2017 | George De Vries III

A September 2016 United Nations panel in Geneva decided the U.S. owed blacks reparations for a history of ‘racial terror.’
Ishaan Tharoor of the Washington Post notes:

In particular, the legacy of colonial history, enslavement, racial subordination and segregation, racial terrorism and racial inequality in the United States remains a serious challenge as there has been no real commitment to reparations and to truth and reconciliation for people of African descent. Contemporary police killings and the trauma that they create are reminiscent of the past racial terror of lynching.

This UN action, of course, was followed by last December’s resolution against Israeli settlements. Interestingly, in the same December time period, the UN could not bring itself to impose sanctions and an arms embargo on a South Sudan that is plunged into ethnic conflict in which thousands have already been killed. It seems the newer, anti-colonial, anti-West members suffer from a case of moral schizophrenia.
A thumbnail review of the real history of slavery is in order here. First, to be clear, there is no doubt many injustices and human tragedies have occurred throughout our history because of slavery; but that is true everywhere slavery has occurred. For a real accounting, thousands of slavery-related transactions that open the curtains on the history of slaves and the slave trade have been recorded and are available on a CDROM prepared by Harvard University. Two other worthy sources include Hugh Thomas’ The Slave Trade and Robin Blackburn’s The Making of New World Slavery.

Over 75% of Illegals Could Be Deported Under Trump Orders (winning!)

Washington Examiner ^ | 2/9/17 2:12 pm ast | By PAUL BEDARD (@SECRETSBEDARD

The bulk of illegal immigrants would be eligible for deportation under President Trump's executive orders, not just those who went on to commit additional crimes, according to a new expert analysis.
Overall, more than 11 million of the estimated 13 million-14 million illegals in the United States come under the deportation language signed by Trump, according to the Center for Immigration Studies.
In the latest post on the CIS page, Ronald W. Mortensen, a retired career U.S. Foreign Service Office, highlighted three key provisions in Executive Order 13768 that prioritize illegal immigrants for removal. They are:
— Those who "have committed acts that constitute a chargeable criminal offense." He said that includes entering the U.S. illegally and not through an official border crossing zone.

— Those who have committed fraud "before a governmental agency." That would sweep most of those who claim to pay Social Security from their paychecks. He said that paying the tax would require the immigrants to receive a number fraudulently.
— Those who have "abused any program related to receipt of public benefits," such as welfare or federal food assistance.
Mortensen cited estimations from the Los Angeles Times that over 11 million would be covered by the executive order.
"The advocates for illegal aliens apparently never thought that the federal government would hold illegal aliens accountable for their crimes, otherwise why would they have highlighted their criminal activities in an attempt to show that they are law abiding citizens? For example, those supporting illegal aliens have insisted for years that they obey the tax laws, as demonstrated by the fact that they pay Social Security (payroll taxes) on income they have unlawfully earned. Of course, the only way the vast majority of illegal aliens can pay payroll taxes is by using fraudulently obtained Social Security numbers, and in many cases, the stolen identities of American citizens. These actions are felonies," said the CIS analysis.

"Choosing wedding gifts can be a daunting process, especially if couples can't agree on what to register for. Our registry aims to bring couples together over their shared love of pizza."
The site operates as a typical wedding registry does. Couples can input their own wedding information and picks, while guests can look up couples to find out what they're hankering for. And, like any responsible wedding purveyor would do, Domino's has also added the pizza gift ideas to its Pinterest page

Report: President Trump Considering Identifying Muslim Brotherhood as Official Terrorist Entity

The Conservative Treehouse ^ | February 8 2017 | Sundance

According to a Fox News initial report, President Trump is considering labeling The Muslim Brotherhood as an official terror group.
Having tracked The Brotherhood activity for several years there is a solid and reasonable case to make that such a designation is warranted. However, there are voices within the Deep State who are opposed to such a designation. Additionally, NATO member Turkey is currently a safe harbor for leadership of The Brotherhood.
< img src=>
MuslimBrotherhood2Here’s our take. There is no doubt the Muslim Brotherhood is part of a larger network of radical Islamic extremist sentiment. Brotherhood member Mohammed Al Zawahiri (Egypt), the brother of al-Qaeda’s Ayman Al Zawahiri is one of the more prominent radicals within the group; the Blind Sheik is another.
Identifying The Brotherhood as a terrorist group is a reasonable and factually supported measure. However there are a significant number of people who don’t quite understand how the Brotherhood operates. Here’s a cliff notes consideration.
Essentially, The Brotherhood disguises much of their ideological extremism through a cloak of political action. The Brotherhood is the umbrella construct, the visible political fabric, which covers much of their radical endeavors by hiding behind a disguise of support for moderation. However, the ribs under the fabric of the umbrella, which stretch the politics therein, are terror organizations that are very extreme – therein lies the problem.
brotherhood justiceAll extremist Islamic groups have some network of affiliation within the Muslim Brotherhood, yet many less extremist groups also have a similar network.
The Brotherhood uses their activity with the less extreme groups to hide their activity with the more authentic expressions of the radicals.
Over the last decade The Brotherhood has evolved their approach toward a self expressed political outreach, but the internal groups are filled with extremists. The 2011 ‘Arab Spring’ election in Egypt was a great example of this in action.
Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi took power in Egypt through the political activity of The Brotherhood; however, once in power Morsi began immediately constructing an extremist sharia-compliant government. Eventually, the Egyptian people reached out to General Fattah Abdel al-Sisi to overthrow Morsi in a successful military coup.
Mideast Egypt Muslim BrotherhoodThe dangerous side of The Brotherhood was openly visible in the 2012/2013 Egyptian example.
After the Egyptian people rose up, The Brotherhood was then outlawed in Egypt. The primary leaders fled Egypt to Qatar where they were given asylum until pressure from al-Sisi and the Gulf States forced Qatar to dispatch the five leaders in 2015.
Recep Erdogan gave the outcast Brotherhood leadership asylum in Turkey where it is assumed they remain today.
The left-wing elements within Western Media focus on the political aspects, the false face of The Brotherhood – as did President Obama. More open-eyed critics of The Brotherhood look at their action and engagements which truly outline their ideological extremism. However, so long as the Brotherhood continues their political trickery, it is easy for advocates to deflect by pointing to their more moderate voices and positions.
Western opinions of The Brotherhood fall almost identically along party lines. Liberals claim The Brotherhood is potentially a force for good or moderation. More conservative politicians see the Brotherhood as dangerous. What surfaces within both arguments is the discovery of classic political taqiyya.
The word “Taqiyya” literally means: “Concealing, precaution, guarding.” It is employed in disguising one’s beliefs, intentions, convictions, ideas, feelings, opinions or strategies. In practical terms it is manifested as dissimulation, lying, deceiving, vexing and confounding with the intention of deflecting attention, foiling or preemptive blocking. It is currently employed in fending off and neutralizing any criticism of Islam, Muslims or The Brotherhood specifically.
This is the challenge with labeling The Brotherhood as a terrorist group. Does The Brotherhood support terrorism, yes. Does The Brotherhood align and support extremist Islamic ideology, yes. Is The Brotherhood considered a terror organization by U.S. allies in the Mid-East, yes.
Are the Islamic Society of North America, the Council on American Islamic Relations and the North American Islamic Trust beneficiaries of political advocacy from The Brotherhood? Again, yes; yes to all of it. But the Brotherhood has defenders within the West, including defenders within the U.S. and within the Deep State think tanks who construct Mid-East policy.
There are entities within the U.S. State Department who defend The Brotherhood. There are also entities within the U.S. intelligence apparatus who defend The Brotherhood. Additionally, there are large numbers of Muslim religious networks within U.S. Mosques who send money directly to The Brotherhood under the auspices of “good works” they claim are carried out under the visible umbrella.
It would be exceptional to see President Trump declare the Brotherhood a terrorist organization, but it would be controversial in the media. Criticism would be guaranteed from the same political camps who proclaimed the Obama Iran Deal to be of merit. The media fault-lines fall upon a similar perspective.

Mrs. Clinton Is Not the Future - And neither are her illiterate slogans.

National Review ^ | February 8, 2017 | Kevin D. Williamson

Hillary Rodham Clinton has had an odd career for a feminist icon.
Her main occupation has consisted of being the long-suffering wife of a powerful man, infamous for treating subordinate women as disposable conveniences, who abused her ruthlessly and humiliated her publicly.

In exchange for standing by her man, she was given an orphaned Senate seat in New York, where she did not live, and two shots at the presidency, which she lost to an unknown back-bencher from Chicago in 2008 and to a reality-television host in 2016.
Margaret Thatcher she isn't.
