CNN Exposed By Business Insider For Faking Their Inauguration Ratings- Fake News

CNN conflated two statistics this week to falsely suggest that its ratings were equivalent to Fox News' during last week's coverage of President Donald Trump's inauguration.

The episode started when Trump on Tuesday congratulated Fox News on Twitter for "being number one in the inauguration ratings."

"They were many times higher than FAKE NEWS @CNN," he wrote.

CNN's public relations team responded to Trump's tweet, citing cumulative numbers from Nielsen Media Research. Cumulative numbers measure audience reach, while ratings — the statistic Trump referred to — measure the average number of people watching a given program.
"According to Nielsen cumulative numbers, 34 million people watched CNN's inauguration day coverage on television. 34 million watched Fox News," the CNN communications account said in a tweet, which was shared thousands of times and became the basis of several news stories.

Breaking: Trump Just Ordered Gowdy and Chaffetz Back on Clinton Case to “Go After Everything” ^ | Feb 1, 2017 | Matthew Bernstein 

You are sure to recall that during the presidential election, there was a lot of talk about Hillary Clinton and the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. This is a committee that is designed to go after government officials that have broken the law. Notably, Trey Gowdy and Jason Chaffetz reside on this board, and are well-known for their vicious work during the Clinton case.

The case? Hillary put the entire nation in jeopardy with her decision to use a private email server, delete thousands and thousands of emails despite being told not to, and involved the State Department in several pay to play schemes through her Clinton Foundation.

In other words, she is someone that should be spending her time in a jail cell. Several people were concerned that her case would be dropped moving into the New Year. However those fears have now vanished.

Jason Chaffetz is the chairman of the House Oversight Committee, and has just announced that President Donald Trump instructed him and the Committee to pursue every available avenue they deem appropriate. Trump has made it clear that putting the safety of the American people at risk like Hillary did is well deserving of punishment.

Chaffetz said that the conversation between President Trump and himself took place after the 2017 GOP retreat in Philadelphia. This was also his second time ever speaking with the president in person.

The Utah Republican spoke to the committee saying, “He came up to me and said, ‘you do a great job. You do a great job,’ which of course I agreed with. Then he said, ‘listen, I understand that I am the President. You have a job to do. You do oversight. Don’t slow down. You go after everything you want to go after. You look at everything you want to look at.’”

President Trump made it clear during the debates that he was going to appoint a special prosecutor in the case against Hillary Clinton. Newsflash: that time has now come.

Chaffetz continued, “If you sat there and heard what he said to me about pursuing oversight of the government and the function that we fulfill, you’d be pretty inspiring, and it was inspiring to me. For him to convey the message, ‘don’t slow down, do your job, there’s a lot to get after with the government,’ I think that’s a good message.”

Again, this is just adding to the fact that Hillary is going to face some serious battles with the House Oversight Committee. Chaffetz has already said that he will continue to investigate her use of a primary email server while in charge of the State Department.

“Just because there was a political election doesn’t mean it goes away.” He also called the classified emails that surfaced on the server “the largest breach of security in the history of the State Department.”

If you couple that with all the WikiLeaks emails that had come out during the days leading up to the election, you can clearly see that Hillary was using this to gain a political advantage. A lot of people that were donating to her Foundation did so because she had promised some sort of political favor.

Again, she put the security of the country at risk because of her decision to use a private server. Not only did she do that, but she actively tried to say that it wasn’t a big deal as other people had done that, like Colin Powell.

No, Powell used a personal email account that was used for unclassified materials, like lunch runs or anything related to that. Hillary actively put the safety and security of the country at risk because of her decision, and she should suffer the consequences for it.

Actions have consequences, and putting the safety of the nation at risk is a pretty big action. Therefore, it requires a big consequence. The other thing to realize is that there is no way that Hillary can be saved. There were fears that former President Barack Obama would have pardoned Hillary over this. Now that he is out of office, there is no way that she can be saved. We’re finally going to see justice!

Also, one of Hillary and Bill Clinton’s global foundations was shut down mere months after she lost the election. That is just further proof that she was using it as a way to get political favors. Now that she isn’t in office, how can she promise those favors?

Not to mention that Hillary’s other foundation is still being investigated by the FBI in several different states. There is a lot going on for the former Secretary of State, and absolutely none of them are any good for her. I wouldn’t be surprised if the FBI placed charges against her for her “charity.”

Secret Service agent who said she wouldn’t take a bullet for Trump is on PAID Leave

While President Donald Trump has tried to promote a message of unity since his Election Night victory in 2016, many people who work within the government have been less than charitable about him.
One such person was a Colorado Secret Service agent who allegedly wrote a post on Facebook implying that she wouldn’t take a bullet for Trump — and who was then placed on paid leave, Fox News reported.
Kerry O’Grady, the special agent in charge of the agency’s Denver bureau, wrote on Facebook in October 2016 that Trump would be horrible for America, expressed her support for Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and said, “Hatch Act be damned” — a reference to the law that prohibits people like herself from engaging in political activity.
“I would take jail time over a bullet or an endorsement for what I believe to be disaster to this country and the strong and amazing women and minorities who reside here. Hatch Act be damned. I am with Her,” she wrote.
So a Secret Service agent implies that she would rather see the president of the United State be gunned down than do her job, and the only thing that happens to her is paid leave?
Well, she might just get her wish for jail time.
If a Secret Service agent had said this about Obama, the racially-charged mobs would still be calling for his/her prosecution and the agent probably would have been fired on the spot.
The Washington Examiner noted that the paid leave indicated that the Secret Service was taking the investigation of the agent seriously — though it didn’t explain why action wasn’t taken sooner.
The Hill noted that O’Grady would have been the agent who coordinated presidential trips to the Denver area, so her suggestion that she wouldn’t protect the president was quite serious.
It’s utterly ridiculous that while this agent is being investigated she is still being paid. The agency should have suspended her without pay while investigating her post. Our tax dollars shouldn’t support someone who will openly proclaim that she won’t do her job.

Ex-Obama Official Suggests ‘Military Coup’ Against Trump!

In a blog post for Foreign Policy magazine, Rosa Brooks, a former Obama administration official, outlined four ways to “get rid” of President Trump, including declaring him mentally unfit for command or carrying out a military coup. Brooks is a Schwartz senior fellow at the New America Foundation, which is funded by billionaire George Soros’s Open Society Foundations. She served from 2009-2011 as Counselor to the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy and served as a senior adviser at Obama’s State Department.
Her posting is titled “3 Ways to Get Rid of President Trump Before 2020,” although the piece actually outlines four ways.
In what seems to be a deliberate tactic, Brooks repeatedly questions Trump’s mental stability, claiming that the president’s first week in office “has made it all too clear: Yes, he is as crazy as everyone feared.”
Brooks, who is not a mental health professional, offered no evidence for her armchair psychological evaluation other than citing policies that she doesn’t like.

Federal employees are working closely with former Obama administration officials to thwart future President Donald Trump’s policies and initiatives, according to a report published by The Washington Post.
Federal workers regularly consult with Obama-era political appointees about ways they can push back and potentially stymie Trump’s initiatives, according to the report.
Dozens of federal workers attended a support group last weekend for civil servants seeking a place to hash out their issues with the Trump administration. Nearly 200 or more federal employees, many of whom worked for the Obama administration, have signed up for workshops meant to train people in ways to safely engage in civil disobedience.
Trump’s decision to fire acting Attorney General Sally Yates Monday for refusing to implement the president’s refugees ban “sends kind of a chilling effect through the agency,” said John O’Grady, a career EPA employee who heads up agency unions.
“I’m afraid at this point that many federal employees are just fearful for their jobs, and they want to keep their heads down.”

Her own words say she refused to defend Donald Trump's executive order because she doesn't think it is "right," not because it is unconstitutional or illegal.
Isn't a government where individuals impose their will on the people tyrannical? If so, then what Yates did is a soft-power revolution aimed at denying the people their right to decide how they are to be ruled. Yates wants a tyranny where she and her ilk tell us deplorables how we are to live and what we are to believe.
Of course, Sally is following a long established liberal tradition of tyranny.
The people of California overwhelmingly approved Prop. 8, which preserved the definition of marriage. Yet the liberal governor and attorney general refused to defend the people's vote because they simply didn't like it. Strangely, even though a huge majority of blacks voted for Prop 8, the liberals' refusal to defend it wasn't deemed racist.
During the election, liberals told us Hillary had a moral obligation to use legal chicanery to ensure that a 41-year-old man who raped a 12-year-old girl had to serve only a few months in prison. Yet those same liberals tell us that lawyers in the government are morally obliged to not defend laws they don't like.
That's right: in the minds of liberals, lawyers have an obligation to help murders and rapists but not to defend laws they personally don't like.
That's either telling us liberals really like child rapists, which seems unlikely, or that they're hypocrites when they say people like Yates are doing the right thing.

The UC system receives more than $2 billion in federal research funding and another $1.6 billion in federal aid for students, according to its 2015-16 budget summary. UC officials were unavailable early Thursday to comment.

Democrats Plot Protests At Trump's Speech To Congress; Will "Refuse To Shake Hands"

The sore losers of the Left, after refusing to attend Trump's inauguration, have apparently decided to double down on their childish behavior by plotting a number of protests at Trump's upcoming address to Congress. According to The Hill, House Democrats are rallying behind a plan to make the newly-elected President's first address to Congress as uncomfortable as possible by inviting guests they say will be harmed by his policies, including ethnic minorities, LGBT people, undocumented immigrants and the disabled.

"It is our hope that their presence in the House Gallery will remind President Trump that he is not the arbiter of patriotism,” reads the letter. “This country belongs to all of us, and his rhetoric of intolerance will not stand.""We want to send a strong message to the [president] that he cannot push these communities aside, and he cannot change the fabric of this country," they wrote.
"Instead of celebrating the very diversity that makes our country a beacon of inclusion and equality, he has chosen to vilify, bully and alienate women, immigrants, people of color, people with disabilities, and people of differing faiths," the Democrats wrote in their letter.
"His rhetoric emboldens those who seek a scapegoat for the challenges this country faces."
Amazing that Trump was able to launch a full assault on such an overwhelming percentage of the population yet still win a national election.

Clearly, the issue us being whipped into a frenzy based on a false premise for the sake of partisan politics. And that's the thing.
It's not Trump making us less safe. democrats are making us less safe by lying about Trump's actions and in so doing they are handing the ammunition to ISIS, who lap up the words of democrats and put them to use.

Trump to Mexico: Take care of 'bad hombres' or US might

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump threatened in a phone call with his Mexican counterpart to send U.S. troops to stop "bad hombres down there" unless the Mexican military does more to control them, according to an excerpt of a transcript of the conversation obtained by The Associated Press.

The excerpt of the call did not detail who exactly Trump considered "bad hombres," nor did it make clear the tone and context of the remark, made in a Friday morning phone call between the leaders. It also did not contain Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto's response.

Still, the excerpt offers a rare and striking look at how the new president is conducting diplomacy behind closed doors. Trump's remarks suggest he is using the same tough and blunt talk with world leaders that he used to rally crowds on the campaign trail.

A White House spokesman did not respond to requests for comment. The Mexican government said the account was not accurate.

David Brock's Leaked Opposition Playbook Describes Trump Impeachment Strategy

A leaked copy of David Brock's American Bridge opposition group's playbook has found its way to the public, and the strategies it contains describe what could easily be considered sedition at the least, and at worst outright treason against a democratically elected president by openly strategizing his impeachment.
David Brock was at the forefront of the conservative opposition group "Correct the Record", which was well known for hiring armies of online trolls to push false narratives about Donald Trump and attempting to demoralize his supporters, while at the same time collecting millions of dollars from wealthy Democrat donors.
Although Brock and his group had no shortage of funds during the election, they ultimately failed to have any significant impact on the outcome, causing some within his own party to "want nothing to do with him" and "wish he would just go away", fearing he is doing more harm to their goals than good.
Democrats know they need someone to lead them out of the wilderness. But, they say, that someone is not David Brock.As David Brock attempts to position himself as a leader in rebuilding a demoralized Democratic Party in the age of Trump, many leading Democratic organizers and operatives are wishing the man would simply disappear.
Many in the party—Clinton loyalists, Obama veterans, and Bernie supporters alike—talk about the man not as a sought-after ally in the fight against Trumpism, but as a nuisance and a hanger-on, overseeing a colossal waste of cash. And former employees say that he has hurt the cause.
Emails found in Wikileak's release from the inbox of Clinton's campaign manager John Podesta appear to back up the claims that Brock is not very popular within his own party. Even Podesta described him as an unhinged narcissist and some of his efforts to avoid laws regarding coordination with the Clinton campaign as “shady.”
None of these failures has have prevented David Brock from reorganizing and starting a new Trump opposition group called American Bridge (which as per their leaked playbook has a budget of $13.4 million for 2017), whose goal is literally to "defeat Trump through impeachment" and "change the balance of power" by impacting congressional elections.
I suppose it's nice to know that if Brock's group fails at impeaching President Trump in the next 4 years, at least they have a backup plan of following democracy and attempting to beat him at the ballot box, rather than flat out stating a plan to eliminate him before that (wouldn't surprise me considering how many extreme leftists have suggested it).
It's one thing to develop slick strategies to influence narratives and public opinion, but it's another case entirely to call for overthrowing a democratically elected president through impeachment before he has even committed any acts that warrant such a extreme measure. The above page literally tells its readers that "we are in a state of emergency" due to Donald Trump holding office.
The entire playbook can be downloaded at this link (file size is 45.5mb). Fair warming, it is filled with an appalling amount of arrogance (contains highlighted blue boxes calling out their past achievements of driving conservatives out of the media) and dirty, underhanded strategies that basically amount to sedition with attempts at controlling public opinion narratives. In case you don't want to wade through the deceit contained in this playbook, here are some of the highlights from this abhorrent document.
The playbook describes how Media Matters, also founded by David Brock whose goal is "wage war" on conservative media, will target "right-wing propagandists" on social media and at the "highest levels of the government". At the bottom of page 13 the group actually takes credit for "pushing Roger Stone's bigotry off cable news". It talks about how top social media platforms like Google and Facebook will no longer go "without consequences" for hosting "fake news sites" (I guess that means most of the mainstream media has got to go).
What the document is referring to when it uses the term "fake news" are in fact "alt-right" news websites such as Breitbart, which is mentioned throughout the playbook. In essence, any conservative news or even news that isn't critical of President Trump, is considered fake in their opinion and must be stopped. In fact, page 10 of the document actually takes credit for forcing Facebook to "commit to fighting the rise of fake news".
Another shocking statement contained in American Bridge's playbook is their claim that they will hold accountable any news outlets for "even the slightest bit of normalization of Trump".
In other words, any media outlet that isn't constantly bashing Trump for any and all of his policies is not doing their jobs according to David Brock. His group is seeking to portray President Trump's acts as widely unpopular with his support coming from only a "fringe alt-right" portion of the country. In fact, nothing could be further from the truth, as a recent Rasmussen poll showed Trump's public approval at 59%.
During the election Breitbart News grew and became a formidable force in conservative media circles, often times effectively countering the negative narratives of the liberal mainstream press.
This playbook addresses Breitbart directly by including a section titled "The Antidote to Breitbart", which describes a sub-group of Brock's called ShareBlue. In the playbook's own words, Shareblue is described as a "digital attacker". In other words, an army of online trolls posting coordinated narratives against Trump on social media outlets.
If you notice an upswing in the amount of trolls, detractors, agitators and anti-Trump commenter's on social media outlets that all seem to be parroting a similar message (as I have noticed over the past week), it's likely they are either bots or people paid by David Brock's group. These paid commenter's are notorious for using strategies that imply they use to be Trump supporters, but claiming now he's "gone too far" and must be stopped, in attempts to demoralize real Trump supporters.
Fortunately for conservatives, the opposition groups to President Trump and his policies have only been successfully in further agitating protesters who already share their points of view anyways, and will never give this new administration a chance regardless of the facts.
It appears the Democrats and their allies are simply taking their failed strategies of the past and presenting them in a different manner, putting a new coat of paint on them while attempting to instill confidence in their compatriots. So when the mainstream news parrots yet another anti-Trump narrative, they can all give themselves a collective pat on the back for their perceived achievements.
What David Brock and his constituents fail to realize is that Trump's swift actions and following up on his promises to voters is more effective than any dirty underhanded strategies their addled brains can come up with.

The New York Times wore out its thesaurus denouncing the order: “cruelty … injury … suffering … bigoted, cowardly, self-defeating … breathtaking … inflammatory … callousness and indifference” — and that’s from a single editorial!

As each election cycle passes, the Democratic Party seems to be going further and further to the left as if something from the bottomless pit were pulling them closer to the edge of the abyss, of which there would be no return. They could stop their descent at any time, however, through repentance, but like all good reprobates, they would rather give the Devil his due.
The Democrats are being forced by their base to become an obstructionist party to oppose anything that’s a part of the Trump agenda, less they legitimize and normalize the new President. They want the Democratic caucus to become, what they not so long ago coined, “the party of no.”
The left previously called the Republicans in Congress the party of ‘no’ because congressional members would not support President Obama’s agenda. The GOP was rewarded by the voters for opposing Obama’s big government policies by winning the House in the 2010 midterm elections and then the Senate in the 2014 midterm.
The electorate agreed with the GOP and joined in by saying ‘no’ too with their votes. Americans had become disillusioned by the Affordable Care Act, government intervention and control of private industries, an exploding deficit with endless spending, and Obama’s many executive orders to bypass Congress. They also became weary of the stagnant economy, which they blamed on the President’s policies.
People who believe that the Democrats will be rewarded by being the party of ‘no’ are making a mistake. The midterm electorate is more centrist and conservative than the voters that make up the Presidential election. Being so, they tend to be supportive of Donald Trump’s plans for growing the economy, nominating originalists to the court, building a border wall and other policies that put America first.
If Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi only work to obstruct this agenda, their Party will pay a high price in 2018. Not only are voters more conservative, but the map and math are against them. For instance, in the Senate, 23 Democratic seats and two Independent seats, which caucus with the Democrats, are up for reelection in 2018 compared to only eight seats for the Republicans. The Republicans currently have 52 seats and only need to pick up eight more to have a filibuster proof majority. Ten of the Democratic seats will be contested in states that Trump won.
The Democratic Party would fare better by moving to the center and to put the nation’s interest above that of the voices that come from the far left. The extreme left is holding the Democratic leadership’s feet to the fire by demanding an unwavering support of the left’s agenda by demanding obstructionism.
The first item on their marching orders is to oppose as many of Donald Trump’s cabinet nominees as possible. This means personal attacks and assaulting people’s character – a tried-and-true tactic of the political left. We’ve seen this already with the confirmation hearings for Jeff Sessions, falsely accused of being a racist.
Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.), a colleague of Sessions, accused him of being hostile to civil rights and justice for all; then encouraged members to vote against his nomination. And today, along party lines, the Senate confirmed Sessions.
Senate Democrats have become unhinged and were even boycotting cabinet nominee’s confirmation votes to delay Trump’s cabinet from forming. This didn’t work, thanks to a change in the rules. But it’s almost certain that more ridiculous actions will be forthcoming like sit-ins and chants about how they will overcome.
How close to edge will these politicians and political groups go before they begin falling? Time will only tell.
But first, the Democratic Party will oppose Trump and the GOP on every legislative initiative. They too, of course, will oppose President Trump’s nominee to the Supreme Court, Judge Neil Gorsuch, by saying that he's an extremist and isn’t mainstream.
What the Democrats don’t get is that they’re not mainstream in the vast majority of the States. Instead of working with the Republicans, they want to prevent Donald Trump from any measures that may turn out to be successful. A successful Donald Trump would not bode well for the future socialist agenda of the left. Politically, socialistic ideas are only popular in dire economic times and fall out of favor in good times. The Democratic Party cannot afford prosperity.
There will be clues about the direction of the DNC with the upcoming election for chairperson this month. They will either elect someone from the left like Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.) or it will be a moderate that could make the Party more appealing to traditional Democratic voters and independents.
For the betterment of the country, the Democrats should change their progressive course toward the event horizon and head back to the safe middle. If they do not, they will lose badly in 2018 and continue to be popular only on the coasts. Even that popularity could ultimately be in jeopardy by a strong economy and a successful Donald Trump, who’ll get all the credit because Democrats opposed him every step of the way.

Fake News, Failed States, and 'America First'

One would have thought that a 90-day suspension of immigration from seven countries with minimal economic ties to the United States would be minor news. It has to be the best thing an American president has done since Ronald Reagan told Gorbachev to tear down the Berlin Wall, because all the people I dislike have gone bat-guano crazy.
The mainstream press is blaming Trump for everything including a down day on the stock market.
Now, that is perhaps the silliest piece of financial commentary that I have read in half a century of market-watching. What do immigrants from Syria and and Somalia have to do with the U.S. stock market?
Then we have Starbucks, Lyft, and the whole Silicon Valley circus denouncing Trump for cutting off their labor supply--as if they employed Somalis or Yemenis.
It's just fake news, folks. Fake news has metastasized from the gossip columns (vicious personal attacks against Trump family members) to the political columns (scurrilous slanders against Trump team members like Gen. Mike Flynn and Steve Bannon) to the financial page. I'm waiting for the mainstream media to blend fake news into the weather report ("Tornadoes struck the Midwest today in response to President Trump's failure to address global warming," or something like that).
Most Americans have had enough of this. We elected Donald Trump to protect us. His promise to halt Muslim immigration was the turning point in his campaign fortunes, and rightly so. To declare that we will no longer bear the burdens of failed states, though, is to tell the elite that they are not an elite at all--they simply are unemployed. And it tells liberals that their secular path to salvation is shut down for the duration.

Catherine Herridge files a report for Fox News from Texas where she is traveling with DHS Secretary John Kelly.

TEXAS – In his first television interview as Homeland Security secretary, retired four-star Marine Gen. John F. Kelly told Fox News he wants the U.S.-Mexico border wall finished in two years – setting an ambitious schedule for the project ordered last week by President Trump.

“The wall will be built where it’s needed first, and then it will be filled in. That’s the way I look at it,” Kelly said. “I really hope to have it done within the next two years.”

Fox News traveled with Kelly in McAllen, Texas, on Wednesday where he saw first-hand the challenges for Border Patrol agents. The Rio Grande Valley, known as the “RGV sector,” is among the busiest. On any given day, Border Patrol agents pick up at least 600 people who have crossed the Mexican border, entering the U.S. illegally.
Those personnel, he explained, are all part of the broader plan for securing the border.
“Any discussion about the protection of our southwest border involves discussion of physical barriers but also of technological sensors, things like that,” he said. “But it’s a layered approach, and it’s got to be backed up by great men and women who are going to make sure that the wall is intact.”
But first, the department faces the tough task of funding – and then building – what would be the largest-ever construction project undertaken by the president who made his name in real estate.
Kelly, who was tasked by the president’s executive order with overseeing the planning and construction of the wall, echoed Trump in saying they already “have the authority” under existing law.
“We’re looking at the money aspect,” he acknowledged. But he said the White House is working with Congress on the timetable. (read more)

Trump's Executive Orders Are Nothing Compared To Obama's 'Pen And Phone' Abuses

Government: President Trump has apparently reignited the country's interest in civics. How else to explain that rash of stories on the basics of "executive orders" and the limits of presidential power? But where was all this concern when President Obama was egregiously violating constitutional limits on his authority?
Interest in "executive orders" is so widespread that Google currently has a separate category in its news feed devoted to stories about the topic.
Obviously, it's all been stirred up by Trump's controversial orders. But Obama issued more executive orders out of the gate, some just as controversial. Among them, Obama called for closing the Guantanamo Bay detention center and signed three pro-labor union executive orders in one day. None of these attracted anything like the attention — let alone the fury — Trump's have. And Obama was only getting started.
It was only three short years ago, remember, that Obama announced — without a peep of protest from the left — his plan to bypass Congress and enact policy on his own if lawmakers refused to bend to his will.
"We're not just going to be waiting for legislation in order to make sure that we're providing Americans the kind of help they need. I've got a pen and I've got a phone," Obama said in January 2014.
That was one of the few promises Obama kept.
