Was the Fix in on FBI Investigation of Hillary Clinton’s Emails?

AIM ^ | September 30, 2016 | Roger Aronoff

The more that details about the FBI’s investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email practices come to light, the more their efforts appear to have been a sham designed to exonerate her of wrongdoing from the very beginning. As we wrote, the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) failure to indict Hillary, based on the recommendation of FBI Director James Comey, has moved the United States closer to banana republic status.
The Clinton family’s ongoing corruption and Hillary Clinton’s pay-to-play as secretary of state have also created a precedent which could encourage other politicians to enrich themselves at the expense of the integrity of their office. The FBI’s light touch also has created a double standard on national security, where high-profile figures such as Mrs. Clinton walk free while others lose their security clearance or are fined or jailed.
Yet some on the left are unhappy with Comey’s investigation because of the comments he made publicly characterizing Mrs. Clinton as “extremely careless” with classified information. “What Comey should have done…was handle the Clinton probe like any other routine inquiry: provide confidential recommendations to prosecutors, release a strictly factual statement noting that the investigation would be closed, and resist external pressures to inappropriately air the FBI’s findings outside a court of law,” argues Riley Roberts, former speechwriter for former Attorney General Eric Holder, in Politico Magazine.

Why Didn't the FBI Give Hillary Clinton Immunity and Spare Us the Drama? ^ | September 30, 2016 | David Harsanyi

Rather than striking immunity deals with virtually every person who had intimate knowledge of Hillary Clinton's illegal private server and emails, the Justice Department would have saved everyone some time by offering Clinton protection instead.
FBI Director James Comey, who testified in front of two congressional committees this week, still maintains that he was unable to recommend that the DOJ charge Clinton with mishandling classified documents because of insufficient evidence proving "intent" -- although the actions themselves are irrefutably illegal.
Well, how exactly did he anticipate gathering this proof, when the DOJ had proactively shielded the five people tasked with setting up the private system and then destroying it? Was he hoping to extract a confession directly from Clinton?
Why would, for instance, a Clinton functionary like Cheryl Mills help prosecutors once she'd already secured safeguards against any criminal prosecution? While testifying in front of the House Judiciary Committee, Comey claimed that Mills was already "cooperative" and that the Justice Department had assured the FBI she had done nothing wrong.
If she were accommodating and completely innocent, why would she seek -- and be given -- immunity? A lawyer for Mills and Heather Samuelson, another one of the five, had already admitted the deal was struck to protect her clients from potential prosecution arising from "classification" on their laptops. Apparently, the DOJ was more convinced of their innocence than their lawyer was.
In the FBI's summary statement, Mills alleged that she didn't know about Clinton's email server until after the secretary of state's tenure was over. Emails since uncovered, however, show this to be untrue. Remember also that, President Obama claimed that he first learned about Clinton's illegal server through "news reports." If that's true, why did he email Clinton on her private server under a pseudonym?
Comey admitted Wednesday that one of Clinton's lawyers -- "it might have been Cheryl Mills" -- told Paul Combetta, Clinton's IT specialist, to delete email files from Clinton's secret server only days after Congress ordered them to be preserved. And Comey assures us that none of this is obstruction of justice.
Then, at another point, he told the committee that the DOJ agreed to give immunity because the FBI didn't feel like wrangling with lawyers for years. "The FBI judgment was we need to get to that laptop. We need to see what it is," he explained. "This investigation's been going on for a year."
So I guess Mills was less than cooperative. Yes?
And why is Comey, who doesn't "give a hoot about politics," concerned about timetables, rather than making the best case? If the laptop was important enough to hasten a deal that protected a potential witness from prosecution, why wasn't it important enough for the FBI to subpoena? If Mills' lawyer is worried about potential criminality, why take a plea bargain off the table? Is this how it works for everyone?
It was rather amazing to hear Comey concede that the DOJ's immunity spree was "unusual." More unusual, perhaps, was that three of the people with those deals still ended up taking the Fifth, and another didn't even bother showing up when Congress called him. It's also unusual that a high-profile case featuring numerous immunity deals resulted in no charges.
To Comey, it was also "very unusual" that the FBI would conduct an interview with the target of an investigation -- where wholly innocent Clinton was surrounded by nine lawyers -- with two of the immunized witnesses in the case present. That's something Comey admitted had never happened in his career.
Jonathan Turley, a law professor at George Washington University, who first defended the FBI's decision not to prosecute Clinton, put the decision in historical context: "Of all of the individuals who would warrant immunity, most would view Mills as the very last on any list. If one assumes that there may have been criminal conduct, it is equivalent to immunizing H.R. Haldeman and John D. Ehrlichman in the investigation of Watergate."
Comey claimed that it was not his purview to decide who people use as their lawyers. That is true. What he failed to mention was that he determined the parameters of the interview. He could have pressured Clinton to leave Mills home, by impelling the target of the investigation to appear rather than allowing it to be voluntary interview. In a deposition about the email scandal, Mills claimed client-attorney privilege, though she was chief of staff, not Clinton's lawyer, during her tenure at the State Debarment.
Comey attempted to distance himself from the immunity deals by pointing out that he had not personally struck them. "It's a decision made by the Department of Justice, I don't know at what level inside," Comey said in the House panel. He continued, saying, "In our investigations, any kind of immunity comes from the prosecutors, not the investigators."
Surely, the DOJ doesn't offer witnesses protection from prosecution in high-profile cases without asking FBI investigators. If they did, then it would suggest a politicized process -- something this case reeks of already.

It’d seem to me that by now, the Trump campaign ought to be pinning the “desperate” label on the Clinton campaign, specifically, as follows:
HRC is “desperate” because:
She has no vision for the future of this country that is any different from the failed and extremist policies she and her party have offered for the last 50 years and those that have been implemented over the last 7 years by the Obama administration.
She has come to the realization that you cannot fool all of the people all of the time and that the farce that has been the Obama administration will not be given a third term.
With 90+ % of the media as her puppets, she will not win and has taken to wondering why she is not 50 points ahead.
Automatically disqualified herself by mishandling classified information and finally understands that the American people, the “deplorables,” will not support and promote a lying, crooked, lawless person to the highest office in the land.
Knows that absolute power corrupts absolutely, has craved it her entire life and sees her chance for it slipping away.
The President’s and her racist and sexist appeal to divisions along race and sexist lines is simply not working.
Bought and paid for, she will not be able to deliver to her donors, foreign and domestic and the Clinton Foundation may be bankrupted as a result. She’s on notice that America and the Oval Office are not for sale.
Because the only experience she has is in setting the world on fire, deleting emails and believing that servers can be protected by the Secret Service and that they can be wiped with “a cloth.”
Her only claims to success have been in containing “bimbo eruptions,” evading indictment for various criminal activities and defending a child rapist.
Realizes that airline staff who have flown to 113 countries are better qualified than she is.
Recognizes that the American people sees the utter hypocrisy in the argument that she’s the “most qualified” to run for President which suggests that Obama must have been the least qualified and yet by her and her party’s measure, the inexperienced one has done a terrific job.
Made a mistake by prematurely declaring her imperiousness by referring to Republicans and Conservatives as enemies worse than terrorists; they’ve come to understand that they will suffer the most if she wins.

7 Times Hillary Clinton Threatened, Smeared and Targeted Women

Daily Wire ^ | September 30, 2016 | Mark Levin

Since Monday night’s presidential debate, Donald Trump’s alleged sexism has predictably become a focal point of the Hillary Clinton campaign. The former secretary of state accused Mr. Trump of being a sexist fat-shamer whose acts have disqualified him from holding the highest office in the land. Trump, politicking horrifically, only deepened the wound by vocalizing Hillary’s claim in his and his surrogates’ subsequent interviews.
But, unlike Trump was able to point out, Hillary is no “saint girl” either. Mrs. Clinton has been accused of threatening, smearing and targeting women her husband has sexually assaulted or carried out consensual affairs with.
1. Hillary smears Gennifer Flowers; allegedly calls her “trailer-trash.”
In an ABC News interview in 1992, Hillary smears Gennifer Flowers, a women Bill would later admit to having an affair with, as “some failed cabaret singer who doesn’t even have much of a résumé to fall back on.” Hillary also reportedly referred to Flowers as “trailer trash.”
2. Hillary allegedly slams former White House intern Monica Lewinsky as a “narcissistic loony toon” after she had consensual relations with her husband in the Oval Office.
CBS News reports: "According to the friend, Diane Blair -- a political science professor whose papers were donated to the University of Arkansas Special Collections library – Hillary Clinton credited Bill Clinton with trying to break away from Lewinsky, whom she called a 'narcissistic loony toon.'"
3. Hillary, defending an alleged rapist, smears his 12-year-old alleged rape victim, claiming the young girl had a "tendency to seek out older men." She also laughs on tape over the cunning way she had vital evidence dismissed, destroying the alleged rape victim's case.
“I have been informed that the complainant is emotionally unstable with a tendency to seek out older men and engage in fantasizing,” Hillary wrote in the affidavit about the 12-year-old alleged rape victim of her client.
Hillary is even captured on tape laughing at the fact that she got the only piece of evidence against her client dismissed: “He took a lie detector test. I had him take a polygraph, which he passed, which forever destroyed my faith in polygraphs,” Hillary says, audibly laughing.
The alleged rape victim told The Daily Beast what she would say to Hillary if she ever has the chance: "‘You took a case of mine in ’75, you lied on me… I realize the truth now, the heart of what you’ve done to me. And you are supposed to be for women? You call that [being] for women, what you done to me? And I hear you on tape laughing.'"
4. Hillary disparagingly refers to the numerous women her husband was allegedly involved with as “bimbos."
In 1991, Mrs. Clinton called the onslaught of women accusing her husband of sexual misconduct or consensual infidelity as the “bimbo eruption.”The Daily Beast what she would say to Hillary if she ever has the chance: "‘You took a case of mine in ’75, you lied on me… I realize the truth now, the heart of what you’ve done to me. In 1991, Mrs. Clinton called the onslaught of women accusing her husband of sexual misconduct or consensual infidelity as the “bimbo eruption.”
5. Hillary allegedly threatens Juanita Broaddrick, Bill's alleged rape victim, into silence at a political fundraiser after the accused rape.
According to Broaddrick, Hillary threatened her while knowing her husband had raped her:
Hillary allegedly sought out Broaddrick at the political fundraiser after Bill had raped her; she grabbed her hand and “thanked her” for “everything” she had done for Bill. Feeling frightened, Broaddrick says she tried to turn around and leave, but Hillary allegedly squeezed her hand tighter and wouldn't let her go.
Broaddrick told The Daily Wire that there was "no way" Hillary did not intend for that interaction to be construed as a threat.
“So many people have said since then that, ‘Maybe she just knew that you had been with him, maybe he hadn’t told her the complete description of what he’d done to you,’” she said. “I still feel like she knew.”
6. “I mean, I would crucify her,” Hillary says of Gennifer Flowers.
Hillary "told Esquire magazine in 1992 that if she had the chance to cross-examine Flowers, 'I mean, I would crucify her,'" notes The Washington Post.
7. "[W]e have to destroy her story," Hillary allegedly said of one woman state troopers allegedly sought out for her husband to have a sexual encounter with.
As noted by National Review: "When a rock groupie alleged that a state trooper approached her on Governor Clinton’s behalf, Hillary said 'we have to destroy her story.'"

The trick is up – Forget sleight of hand Hillary

Canada Free Press ^ | 09/30/16 | Dr. Laurie Roth

Vote for America, yourself and freedom – Vote Trump and make Hillary pay for her greed, lies, crimes and failure in leadership…by voting her out
This is war and is the worldview clash of the century with Clinton and Trump.

Never forget this as you peer through the magic looking glass for debate 2 and 3 and see the smooth and lipstick laden Hillary doing what she does in her magic show. She distracts, she plays pretend with ‘fact checks’ attacking Trump with disjointed assaults that don’t exist in any real and fair context. She lies, cheats and steals as she arrogantly smiles away with bright red lipstick smeared on her teeth.

She is no ‘first woman’ anything but rather the last woman on earth any one of us should want in the White House running anything.

Never forget that Hillary is a political side show magician. She will always lie, maneuver with hopes people aren’t looking and deceive. Her long time and only agenda ever in her fraudulent career has been to gain and keep money and power – the end.

Obama administration may use obscure fund to pay billions to ACA insurers

Washington Post ^ | Sept 29, 2016 | Amy Goldstein

The Obama administration is maneuvering to pay health insurers billions of dollars the government owes under the Affordable Care Act, through a move that could circumvent Congress and help shore up the president’s signature legislative achievement before he leaves office.

Justice Department officials have privately told several health plans suing over the unpaid money that they are eager to negotiate a broad settlement, which could end up offering payments to about 175 health plans selling coverage on ACA marketplaces, according to insurance executives and lawyers familiar with the talks.

The payments most likely would draw from an obscure Treasury Department fund intended to cover federal legal claims, the executives and lawyers said. This approach would get around a recent congressional ban on the use of Health and Human Services money to pay the insurers.
...A settlement probably would rely on Treasury’s Judgment Fund, a 1950s creation that is allowed as much money as it needs to satisfy valid claims against the government.

Despite economic gains, small businesses say, "What recovery?" ^ | September 29, 2016 | Ed Leefeldt

Many small-business owners and academics aren’t buying into President Obama’s claim that the 5.2 percent rise in household income last year translates into an economic rebound. Truth be told, it could be the opposite.
On Sept. 13, the U.S. Census Bureau reported that median household income jumped $2,800 -- slightly more than 5 percent in 2015. While speaking at a rally in Philadelphia for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, President Obama called it a “big deal ... the single biggest one-year increase on record.”
But many Americans see it as a case of “been down so long it looks like up to me.” While household income may have gone up in 2015, “over the last decade there not only has been no growth ... it actually decreased slightly,” said the SBE. This compares unfavorably with the average 1.4 percent annual rise over the last 60 years.
One reason more people don’t feel wealthier is that the current gain has been “muted by sector-oriented inflation and taxes,” said Craig Lemoine, a professor of financial planning at the American College of Financial Services. “Families are now required to carry health insurance,” he pointed out, “and those premiums have been increasing.”
And then there are those who haven’t benefited at all. The census data shows that 43 million Americans remain in poverty.

Trump camp returns fire, targets Clintons’ treatment of women (victims speak-out!)

F O X News ^ | 09-30-16

Donald Trump’s campaign is signaling that Bill Clinton’s history of affairs and alleged sexual misconduct – as well as Hillary Clinton’s treatment of the women involved – is now fair game, after his Democratic opponent took the first shot by calling out his own negative comments toward women at Monday’s debate.

The Republican nominee took a direct swipe at the former president during a New Hampshire rally on Thursday, in a sign of jabs to come.
"The American people have had it with years and decades of Clinton corruption and scandal," Trump said. "And impeachment for lying. … Remember that?"

U.S. Signed Secret Document to Lift U.N. Sanctions on Iranian Banks
Administration backed measures on the same day Tehran released four American citizens from prison

By Jay Solomon and Carol E. Lee Sept. 29, 2016 8:02 p.m. ET

WASHINGTON—The Obama administration agreed to back the lifting of United Nations sanctions on two Iranian state banks blacklisted for financing Iran’s ballistic-missile program on the same day in January that Tehran released four American citizens from prison, according to U.S. officials and congressional staff briefed on the deliberations.
The U.N. sanctions on the two banks weren’t initially to be lifted until 2023, under a landmark nuclear agreement between Iran and world powers that went into effect on Jan. 16.
The U.N. Security Council’s delisting of the two banks, Bank Sepah and Bank Sepah International, was part of a package of tightly scripted agreements—the others were a controversial prisoner swap and transfer of $1.7 billion in cash to Iran—that were finalized between the U.S. and Iran on Jan. 17, the day the Americans were freed.
The new details of the delisting have emerged after administration officials briefed lawmakers earlier this month on the U.S. decision.
According to senior U.S. officials, a senior State Department official, Brett McGurk, and a representative of the Iranian government signed three documents in Geneva on the morning of Jan. 17.

Black Lives Matter Leader: ‘We Will INCITE RIOTS Everywhere If Trump Wins’

US Chronicle ^ | 9/29/16 | Unknown

Though the outcome of America’s presidential election is still up in the air, Black Lives Matter has made it clear that one outcome is certain. If Donald Trump is the victor, violence will erupt in the streets. This according to rapper and activist Tef Poe when he took to Twitter to say,

“Dear white people if Trump wins young niggers such as myself are fully hell bent on inciting riots everywhere we go. Just so you know.”

If you are unsure who ‘Tef Poe’ is, don’t worry, you are not alone. All you really need to know about him is that he is the co-founder of the Hands Up United organization out of Ferguson, Missouri. His organization chose its name based off of the false narrative that Michael Brown, a teenage thug, had his hands up and back turned to officer Darren Wilson when he was shot.

The real reason why Trump won the debate

The Washington Times ^ | September 28, 2016 | Monica Crowley

Four years ago, you could have almost seen Bill Clinton’s thought bubble as he watched Barack Obama’s weak and listless performance against Mitt Romney during the first presidential debate: “I can’t believe we lost to this guy.”
Mr. Clinton never would have mailed it in the way Mr. Obama did. He may have lost some of his old magic, but he’s still got the golden touch.
His wife, however, never had it — and clearly never will, as evidenced by her plodding and grating debate performance against Donald Trump this week. At the same time, Mr. Trump was aggressive, projecting authority even when he was on relatively shaky ground. Unlike others who have opposed her, he didn’t care that she was a Clinton or a Democrat or a woman. He didn’t defer to her, offer special treatment or allow her a wide berth for Clintonian parsing.
Relishing his outsider role, he positioned her squarely in her role of status quo incumbent. By doing so and by clearing the bar of appearing a reasonable man and plausible president, he lived to fight another day.
Because he’s never done this before, voters give him a lot more running room to make mistakes and find his bearings. The fact that he more than held his own on the biggest political stage on earth is astounding. The traditional metrics don’t apply to this candidate or this election year, which is why he was able to walk away not just intact but perhaps stronger....

Trump: Hillary Clinton Wants Power for One Reason, ‘To Protect Her Donors and Take Their Money’

Breitbart ^ | 29 Sep 2016 | MICHAEL PATRICK LEAHY

Donald Trump addressed a packed house at a rally in Bedford, New Hampshire Thursday afternoon where he blasted Hillary Clinton, whom he said is “there for only one reason: to protect her donors and take their money.”
“Hillary Clinton is an insider fighting only for herself and her donors. I’m an outsider fighting for you,” Trump said, contrasting himself with his rival for the presidency.
“Follow the money,” he continued, hitting on a theme that has been central to his criticism of Clinton.
“The large corporations who support terrible trade deals… they’re donating to Hillary Clinton. It’s called follow the money,” Trump continued.
“The special interests who want open borders are donating to Hillary Clinton. Just follow the money,” he added.

Silent White Professionals Will Rally for Trump at Polls!

NewsMax ^ | September 29, 2016

College-educated whites who've been quiet in their support for Donald Trump will emerge in droves to vote for the Republican presidential candidate on Election Day, veteran political analyst Dick Morris, a former adviser to President Bill Clinton, tells Newsmax TV.

"People who do not normally vote — high school-educated whites largely — and normally stay out of the process are now thronging into the electorate to vote for Trump," Morris, author of "Armageddon: How Trump Can Beat Hillary," said Thursday to J.D. Hayworth on "America Talks Live."

"To give you a feel of how extensive this could be, if you take the final days polling in every one of the primaries and you compare the vote share they predicted Donald would get with the vote share he actually got on the primary itself, it's a 5-point difference....

U.S.: Wells Fargo illegally repossessed 413 armed service members' cars! ^ | September 29, 2016 | Jackie Wattles

Wells Fargo will pay $24 million to settle allegations that it mistreated members of the military -- including illegally repossessing their cars.
The bank, already reeling from a scandal over fake accounts, will pay $4.1 million to settle Justice Department charges that it seized 413 cars owned by service members without a court order, a violation of federal law.
The Justice Department said the illegal repossessions took place from 2008 to 2015. The first complaint came from an Army National Guardsman in North Carolina who said the bank seized his car while he was preparing to deploy to Afghanistan.
Wells Fargo then auctioned his car and tried to collect a balance of $10,000 from his family, the Justice Department said.

NON-CITIZEN MUSLIM MALL TERRORIST ILLEGALLY VOTED 3 TIMES! ^ | September 30, 2016 | Daniel Greenfield

But remember, Voter ID is racist. It discriminates against illegal voters.
But first a step back. We're talking about the Turkish Muslim mall terrorist in Washington, not the Somali Muslim mall shooter in Minnesota. We're getting so much Muslim terror these days that it takes work to keep it all straight.
The Cascade Mall shooting suspect, Arcan Cetin, may face an additional investigation related to his voting record and citizenship status.
Federal sources confirm to KING 5 that Cetin was not a U.S. citizen, meaning legally he cannot vote. However, state records show Cetin registered to vote in 2014 and participated in three election cycles, including the May presidential primary.
Just the sort of fellow we want deciding the next president.
While voters must attest to citizenship upon registering online or registering to vote at the Department of Licensing Office, Washington state doesn't require proof of citizenship. Therefore elections officials say the state's elections system operates, more or less, under an honor system.
An honor system. Of course. Actually verifying citizenship would be discriminatory. It would, in Obama's words, not be who we are. And who we are, apparently, is a bunch of suckers who let Muslim terrorists illegally vote.
"We don’t have a provision in state law that allows us either county elections officials or the Secretary of State's office to verify someone’s citizenship," explained Secretary of State Kim Wyman. "So, we’re in this place where we want to make sure we’re maintaining people’s confidence in the elections and the integrity of the process, but also that we’re giving this individual, like we would any voter, his due process."
Actual due process would involve verifying the right to vote. But that would be bad for Democrats.
