Feds to Award $200 Million in Grants to Feed and Educate Children – in Other Countries!

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has announced grants totaling $200 million “to improve the education, food security, and health of school-age children, especially girls in developing countries.”

The Foreign Agricultural Service grant, announced late last month and open for applicants until Jan. 21, 2017, further states that the funds can cover “food for education, food assistance, school feeding, child nutrition, teacher training and gender equity.” …
