Face Facts: Trump Supporters are Often as Incoherent as He Is!

Libertarian Neocon ^ | libertarian neocon

Last night, instead of focusing on True Detective, I ended up getting into a bit of a flame war on Twitter with some Donald Trump supporters.  Oh my, those people have no clue and you really couldn't pin them down on anything.  Ask a simple question like "how do you know Trump will govern as a conservative?" and the responses you get are "do your homework", "you're not very bright are you" and "Trump/Cruz is the only hope for this country".  The last is would only be true if your hope is for a historic route of the Republican Party.  Even with his sky high GOP poll numbers and near 100% name recognition, Trump trails Hillary in election matchups by 15% according to RCP.  Cruz, who used to be though of as a bomb thrower but next to Trump looks calm and diplomatic, is behind Hillary by almost 8 points (though I'm not meaning this post to criticize Cruz, he is actually the Republican I agree most with, I just know I wouldn't be able to get elected either).  After all, I know that Trump wants to outdo Mitt Romney but I don't think that offending more than 47% of the population is the right goal to have.  Between his "blood" comments and his comments with regards to hispanics, he has offended at least 60% of the population.  Also you have to wonder whether in the minds of these people if a Cruz/Paul or Fiorina/Rubio ticket would mean the end of this country as we know it?

Another question is do Trump supporters have any idea who Trump really is or are they just so caught up in the cult of personality that they would kill Sharon Tate if he asked them to.  All the Trump supporters I was arguing with last night had "Jesus", "God" or "Christian" in their descriptions, which I find rather surprising.  Can you think of a GOP candidate who is more the opposite of what Jesus represents than Donald Trump?  He is foul-mouthed, thin-skinned, unforgiving and probably has committed adultery in every single one of his marriages multiple times.  He would never die for your sins given he won't even admit the ones he makes himself!  He's also said that he has never asked God for forgiveness

Also, every single person had the word "conservative" in their description as well.  Trump left the GOP in 1999 to join the Reform Party and did so poorly in their primary that he came in behind Pat Buchanan and John Hagelin, the meditation guru.  Did he go back to the Republican Party then?  Nope, he became a Democrat!  That means that he looked at people like Al Gore, John Kerry and Nancy Pelosi and thought, eh, they're a pretty good lot, I'm going with them.  He only became a Republican 5 years ago!  Other than building a giant wall with Mexico, can you be certain of anything that he will do?  My guess is that he would try to usurp as much power for the executive as possible, even more than Obama and then use government power to its limit.  Think Juan Peron with a horrible haircut.

Trump and his supporters really give the GOP a bad name.

The Strange ‘Black Lives Matter’ Movement ^ | August 10, 2015 | Rachel Alexander

The Black Lives Matter movement is a bizarre new phenomenon that doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. Instead of addressing real issues of racism, the activists focus on a few incidents where a black person has gotten into a deadly confrontation with law enforcement — but where there doesn’t appear to have been any racism.

In many of the incidents, the officers themselves were black or Hispanic. The high-profile accusations and scrutiny have resulted in ruining the careers and reputations of many law enforcement officers, who are often forced to resign, subsequently facing civil lawsuits and even criminal charges.

The activists are getting bolder, most recently interrupting two speeches by far left Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders. Instead of working with him — a fellow radical leftist and strong ally — these activists are shouting him down and not allowing him to speak.

The newly radicalized young black activists never had to experience sitting at the back of the bus or segregated drinking fountains, yet they act as if we are living in an era worse than Jim Crow. Just 20 years ago, they weren’t complaining about these incidents. Since there isn’t any more racism now than there was 20 years ago, what happened?

The emergence of this movement should come as no surprise. Our schools and popular culture are brainwashing students into thinking racism is everywhere, creating a hypersensitive type of wimp who is now offended and full of fake outrage at virtually anything that is politically incorrect. Schools like the University of Wisconsin have issued lists of “microaggressions;” phrases that students are warned not to use. They include all-American phrases like “America is a melting pot,” “Where are you from,” “Where were you born,” “I believe the most qualified person should get the job,” and “Everyone can succeed in this society, if they work hard enough.”

Obama has contributed to this racially charged climate. As the first black president, he is evidence that racism has been mostly eradicated in America. But instead of trying to bring the country together, he makes polarizing statements and uses the Department of Justice to aggressively go after crimes he asserts involve racism. Consequently, Americans polled believe racism has increased sharply under Obama.

At meetings of the radical left nowadays, attendees are often segregated into “privilege circles.” They are allowed to contribute based on where they are located in the circle. White, straight men are relegated to the very outside perimeter, and told they may speak the least.

This kind of radicalization explains why the Black Lives Matter activists feel entitled to interrupt Bernie Sanders whenever they feel like it. Seattle is probably the most progressive major city in the country at this point, but that didn’t matter to the activists. At a rally in Seattle last week where Bernie Sanders was scheduled to speak, activists interrupted and took over the mic, with Marissa Johnson, the founder of BLM Seattle saying, “I was going to tell Bernie how racist Seattle is...” Activist Mara Willaford, who also interrupted Sanders, declared that "white supremacist liberalism" prevails in Seattle.

Sanders finally gave up, said “good-bye,” and left the stage.

Few have the guts to stand up to the radicals, or risk being called a racist. As an avowed socialist, Sanders is further to the left than virtually every leader in the Democratic Party, yet even he cannot escape being labeled a racist, so he meekly bows out and lets them take over.

Only those on the right have the courage to call out the movement for what it is. Black Republican presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson recently said, “We need to talk about what the real issues are and not get caught up in silliness like this matters or that matters. Of course all lives matter. I don’t want to get into it. It’s so silly.”

Instead of accusing law enforcement of racism every time a black person loses their life in an incident, Black Lives Matter should focus on one of the real lingering areas of racism, abortion. More black babies are aborted proportionately than white babies. Planned Parenthood was founded by a eugenicist, Margaret Sanger, who despised minorities. The organization deliberately sets up abortion clinics predominantly in heavily minority areas.

Sadly, they won’t, because Black Lives Matter is not really about combating racism. It’s about a left-wing agenda, which needlessly radicalizes blacks in order to get them to vote for Democrats. Stopping abortion is considered an issue only of concern to the right, so the radical left turns a blind eye to the racism there. It is estimated that 684,740 black babies are aborted every year in the U.S. It is unconscionable that a handful of sad deaths involved with law enforcement interactions take center stage nationally by these activists, while the deaths of hundreds of thousands of babies are completely ignored as if they never existed.

Top Hillary aide Cheryl Mills: I’ve been told to destroy my e-mails!

Canada Free Press ^ | 08/10/15 | Dan Calabrese

So a judge asks the government to kindly ask her not to...
Now this can’t be, can it? A Clinton aide blatantly destroying evidence in a criminal investigation? That would never happen.
OK, I’ll wait for you to stop laughing. This is the level of absurdity we’ve reached in the Hillary e-mail boondoggle, except that this doesn’t even really quite cover it. Because not only is Cheryl Mills destroying e-mails she’s supposed to be handing over, but the federal judge who issued the order is now sadly reduced to pleading with the Obama Administration to please ask her not to. How do you think that’s going to go? The New York Observer reports:
