IRS: Mistakes Were Made

Breitbart ^ | 4/13/15 | staff

Judicial Watch has just released a new batch of documents forced out of the IRS that show the Obama administration’s scandalous misuse of the IRS to target Tea Party and other conservatives goes far deeper than realized.
Included in the new batch of documents is a February 2012 email from Lois Lerner, who was then head of the IRS’ Exempt Organizations Branch, asking that a special program be set up to “put together some training points to help [IRS staffers] understand the potential pitfalls” of revealing too much information to Congress. Amid the hundreds of released pages, Judicial Watch also found a remarkable Lerner email from 2013 in which she says she is willing to take the blame for not having provided sufficient direction to her underlings on how best to investigate the targeted groups, and then concedes that she “understands why the IRS criteria” leading to targeting of Tea Party groups and other opponents of President Obama “might raise questions.”
In May 2013, the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) released an audit revealing the IRS had used “inappropriate criteria” to identify potential political cases. “Early in Calendar Year 2010,” TIGTA wrote, “the IRS began using inappropriate criteria to identify organizations applying for tax-exempt status to (e.g., lists of past and future donors).” The illegal IRS reviews continued for more than 18 months and, TIGTA reported, “delayed processing of targeted groups’ applications” preparing for the 2012 presidential election.”

Democrats Push Voting Rights for Non-Citizens to Ensure Election Wins!

Canada Free Press ^ | 04/13/15 | Leigh Bravo

President Obama and Democrats have decided to cater to anyone and everyone except Americans

President Obama in a recent interview, admitted that he would pass his agenda items by “hook or by crook.” Was he just waving the green flag to all Democrats to do whatever is necessary to win and in turn, further the liberal agenda? This seems to be the new platform for the Democrats. If you can’t accomplish it on your own steam and through the proper channels, then lie, cheat, and steal to get it done. By “hook or by crook!”
Mayor Bill DeBlasio, Mayor of New York, has decided the only way he has a chance at gaining a second term in New York, is to allow non-citizens the ability to cast votes in New York elections. A move that takes the voice away from “The People,” as laid out in our Constitution, and gives it to those who are here as guests in our country. Add in a growing number of illegal voters casting fraudulent ballots at local and national elections, and the American people will no longer have a say in how we are governed. As we look at DeBlasio’s first term in office we cannot help but remember back in 2014 when he blocked charter schools, using space inside failed public school buildings.

Why Marco Rubio has a real shot at 2016 Republican nomination (More about Cruz & Paul)

Fox News ^ | April 13, 2015 | Erick Erickson

Ted Cruz remains a conservative favorite in 2016. In 2012, the establishment backed his Senate opponent in Texas, then Lt. Governor David Dewhurst. The conservative grassroots backed Cruz and pushed him over the finish line. Cruz has since remained a favorite of the grassroots with a continually antagonist relationship with the Republican establishment.
In 2010, Rand Paul, before Cruz, was a grassroots favorite. The Republican Establishment backed his rival, Trey Grayson. Paul rallied a coalition of conservative grassroots and Ron Paul acolytes to trounce Grayson and win the Kentucky Senate seat. Since then, Paul has wobbled between maintaining grassroots support and developing establishment support. In 2014, for example, he backed Mitch McConnell for re-election and has taken an occasional aggressive position to contrast himself from Cruz.
Marco Rubio is the original Tea Party candidate. His candidacy united the grassroots against the leadership and he won. The Washington crowd convinced themselves he could not win, but the grassroots proved they could pick a winner. Rubio was the first.
In the same year Rand Paul won, the man who started the major revolt between grassroots activists and party leaders ran. It was the Rubio race that really exposed the divide between the base and the leadership. The leadership backed then Florida Governor Charlie Crist. The grassroots, led by former Senator Jim DeMint of South Carolina, allied with Marco Rubio. Activists began urging a boycott of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, the Washington group that helps the GOP take the Senate....

‘What Civilized Society Destroys Its Own Food Source For A Three-Inch Fish?'

cns news ^ | 4/13/15 | Penny Starr

Since California Democratic Governor Jerry Brown imposed water restrictions on the state’s residents on April 1, people have suddenly become interested in what government officials have described as “one of the most severe droughts on record.”
But for months, Republican Assemblywoman Shannon Grove -- who represents part of Kern County, the second largest agricultural sector in the country – has been trying to get the word out about how Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations apparently are literally draining water into the sea all for the sake of a three-inch fish.
“I put together this short video to explain the real cause of California’s water shortage problems, which everyone is paying attention to now that the Governor has imposed water restrictions on the entire state,” Grove wrote on her Facebook page on April 3, the day she reposted the video she first published back in September.
“Share it with your friends who need to know the truth,” Grove wrote.
The truth, Grove said, is that the Endangered Species Act and its effort to protect the tiny delta smelt has taken water away from farmers.
