Obama Feuds with Bibi Because He's 'Like a Republican'

Arutz Sheva ^ | 25/1/15 | Uzi Baruch

Hank Sheinkopf, former adviser to ex-US President Bill Clinton during his election campaign from 1995 to 1996, spoke with Arutz Sheva about the complicated political relations between Israeli and American leaders.
Hank Sheinkopf, former adviser to ex-US President Bill Clinton during his election campaign from 1995 to 1996, spoke with Arutz Sheva about the complicated political relations between Israeli and American leaders.
Speaking about the tense relations between Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and US President Barack Obama, Sheinkopf remarked that how the world feels about Netanyahu is not important to Israelis, whereas it is very important to American Jews who directly deal with public perceptions of the Jewish state.
As far as Netanyahu and Obama not getting along, he opined it "is no different than Clinton and Netanyahu not getting along," noting an "ideological inconsistency" behind the tensions.
"American presidents are used to dealing with Jews who are Democrats and liberals, and here (that) is not the case with Netanyahu," explained Sheinkopf, claiming Netanyahu is more along the lines of a Republican.
On a different topic, Sheinkopf spoke about Israel's difficulties in presenting its case to the world.

Obama, the Shiite, Goes to Riyadh

PJ Media ^ | January 24, 2015 | Roger L. Simon

Remember how Richard Nixon told us to watch what he does, not what he says? Good advice. Well, Barack Obama — our POTUS who makes Nixon and Clinton seem like Diogenes — thinks like a postmodern agnostic, professes to be a Christian, but acts like a Shiite.

During Obama’s presidency the influence of Ayatollah Khamenei’s Iranian Shiite regime has spread across the world like the proverbial wildfire, reaching from North Africa into Iraq, Lebanon (via Hezbollah), Syria (via Assad whose red line on chemical weapons famously faded into invisibility), Gaza (via improved relations with Hamas) and now into Yemen (via the Houthis) and undoubtedly a number of other places, including Venezuela, North Korea and Cuba. And our president, consciously or unconsciously or both, has had as much to do as anyone with the creation of this nascent, soon-to-be nuclear armed and missile-ready fundamentalist “Greater Persia.” No wonder the Sunni Saudis are alarmed — they have been for a long time — and no wonder Obama suddenly decided to replace Biden in paying a condolence visit to Riyadh for the death of King Abdullah. He has some powerful fence-mending to do that pretend bowing and scraping may not so easily solve.
Much of this Iran-coddling began back when the Green Movement was in the streets of Tehran seeking the overthrow of the ayatollahs and chanting “Obama, Obama… Are you with us or are you with them?” Our president did not respond. He was already in private communication with the bizarre Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Obama wanted to be the one who got credit for reining in the excesses of the Islamic Republic, not those unruly student demonstrators who were the ones suffering from the regime in the first place, being murdered, tortured and raped in Evin Prison, often in reverse order.
Indeed, this unconscionable and out-of-control narcissism has been the key to Obama’s foreign policy throughout and accounts for the catastrophic global results we see in front of us now. The “leading from behind” mantra has always been a fraud, masking what it really means “I, Barack, know best and manipulate affairs from behind.” It’s all about me. (Is it ever!)
Now I realize Obama is not really a Shiite. He was raised in Sunni Indonesia. And, yes, Sunnis — notably ISIS, Boko Haram and AQAP — are leading the way in the public butchery department for the moment and need to be opposed with all our might. But that doesn’t mean Shiites are not active. Just the other day we had the mysterious Buenos Aires death of Alberto Nisman who was about to reveal truths about the 1994 bombing of the Jewish community center in that city in which 85 were killed — a kind of simultaneous beheading in which Iran’s Revolutionary Guards and Hezbollah are said to be the culprits. Almost anyone honest and awake knows the Islamic Republic is and has been the primary state sponsor of terrorism world wide for decades.
Yet Obama persists in playing sides in a literally insane Shiite-Sunni religious conflict that has gone on so long it makes the Hundred Years’ War seem like the three-week invasion of Grenada. (Interestingly, in a January 20 column, “Say It Like It Is,” Thomas Friedman finally breaks the New York Times omertà on radical Islam, saying the president is wrong for not naming the enemy. But in doing so, Friedman isolates the violence as almost all coming from Arab and Pakistani Sunnis, giving the president continued cover to appease Iran.) The reason for Obama’s persistence is not religious, but the aforementioned narcissism. He had already plighted his troth on a pax Iranian. Making it easier was his longtime conviction that Western imperialism was the root cause of most evil on the planet anyway. The president now has an Iran deal so tied up in his mind with his legacy that the appearance of Netanyahu in front of Congress opens a psychological wound so large Obama is likely to do almost anything. The world — not just Saudi Arabia and Israel — had better beware.

Hollywood actor Rob Lowe: Obama prefers fruit loops over Netanyahu

The Jerusalem Post ^ | January 25, 2015 | Tovah Lazaroff, Deputy Managing Editor

Rob Lowe can't believe that Obama won't meet with Netanyahu, but will meet with YouTube star.
How is it that a woman famous for eating cereal in a bathtub can get an audience with US President Barack Obama, when Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu failed to do so? asked Rob Lowe on Twitter.
Among the Hollywood actor’s famous roles, is that of Deputy White House Communications Director in the television show The West Wing.
On Friday Lowe entered a real-life diplomatic drama, when he weighed in on one of the most serious crises in the often infamous series of political battles that have raged between Obama and Netanyahu in the last six years.
Lowe mocked Obama, for a live streamed meeting he held Thursday with three YouTube stars on Thursday, GloZell Green, Hank Green and Bethany Mota.
In a publicly move that targeted younger Americans, the three YouTube stars interviewed Obama.
A GloZell's video that garnered 9.7 million hits on YouTube, showed her eating fruit loops in a milk filled bathtub for what she called the cereal challenge.
Her interview with Obama occurred the same day that the White House announced that the US President would not meet with Netanyahu in early March, when he visits Washington.
It's the first time Netanyahu will visit Washington without meeting Obama.
On Friday Lowe sent out the following tweet to his 1.02 million followers.

'Repeal every word': Potential GOP 2016 rivals hammer ObamaCare, IRS at Iowa summit

Fox News ^ | 1-25-2015 | Barnini Chakraborty

“The most important tax reform we can do is abolish the IRS,” Texas Sen. Ted Cruz told the fired-up audience.
The firebrand senator compared the EPA to a locust and got a huge reaction when he demanded to “repeal every word of ObamaCare.”
Sarah Palin, too, after telling reporters she’s thinking about a 2016 run, laced her speech with snappy one-liners as she lit into the current president.
Of Obama, she said: “America, he’s just not that into you.” The 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee also knocked the idea of a Hillary Clinton run.
“Hey Iowa, can anyone stop Hillary? To borrow a phrase, yes, we can!” she said.
Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and former Texas Gov. Rick Perry – who was interrupted by immigration protesters – helped closed out the daylong event. Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum spoke earlier.
Christie also was interrupted by a protester in the crowd. Unlike Perry, who kept talking through it, Christie couldn’t resist. “Don’t they know I am from New Jersey? This stuff doesn’t bother me one bit,” he said.
Carson, who has been flirting with the idea of a 2016 presidential run, told the crowd the next president should "make it their goal to seal the border within a year."
