HBO’s Bill Maher tells Hillary Clinton to “Just Go Away” (VIDEO)

Eagle Rising ^ | July 2 2014 | Onan Coca
HBO’s Bill Maher can hardly ever be called “the voice of reason,” but perhaps everyone does have their moment? On a recent episode of his show Real Time Maher sounded somewhat lucid when advising Hillary Clinton that there was a fine line between inoculating herself from trouble and making America say “We’re sick of you!” He further described how she should handle herself for the next year and a half or so… "Just go away. Go away for a while. We're gonna see each other in a couple of years. A lot... Just go away, otherwise you're going to blow this." I hope he’s wrong about us seeing her a lot in a couple of years… but I think he’s right about her “going away.” I personally would love if she would just take her poor (and I mean that literally, as in, financially destitute) family and go on vacation for a few years. America could use a lot less of Clinton and anyone else who thinks like she does…

85 percent of ObamaCare ‘inconsistencies’ can’t be fixed

The New York Post ^ | 7/2/2014 | Geoff Earle
WASHINGTON — Federal officials can’t resolve 85 percent of 2.9 million “inconsistencies” on applications for ObamaCare even after nine months of trying, according to new data provided by the administration. Most of the problems involve certifying citizenship and income, key components of the national health plan. But some of the problems are downright nutty. One unidentified state-run marketplace cited situations in which infants and young children were “erroneously identified as incarcerated, according to federal data,” the inspector general for the Health and Human Services Department revealed Tuesday. Just 425,000 problematic applications have been resolved out of 2.9 million that states and the federal exchange reported, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services told The Post.

'Is it all over for Obama?'

Washington Examiner ^ | July 2, 2014 | PAUL BEDARD
With new numbers that are depressing to an already deflated White House, Zogby on Wednesday found that most don't believe that Obama can lead the country and he compared the president to Bill Clinton following the Democrat's sweeping 1994 Congressional loss and when former White House Correspondent Brit Hume asked if Clinton was even relevant. Obama finds himself in the uncomfortable position where every age group, independents, and whites all agree that the public has given up on his ability to accomplish anything before the end of his term,” said Zogby in releasing his latest numbers. “In short, we see a president in full salvage mode. He is not only racing for his legacy but for his relevancy,” Zogby added. The analyst who pens a weekly report card on the president for Secrets, however, said that there is one positive in all of his polling: As much as Americans disapprove of Obama, they like Congress even less. Some of his latest findings: The President's support has dropped 2 points among men (44% to 42%); women 4 points (49% to 45%); 30-49 year olds (5 points, 51%-46%); Democrats (81% to 77%); independents 7 points (39% to 32%); liberals 7 points (83% to 76%); Hispanics 6 points (73% to 67%); African Americans 10 points (86% to 76%); and voters in union households 5 points (65% to 60%). Those more likely to be ashamed of the president include Republicans (73%-11%) and conservatives (73%-11%); whites (46%-32%); both groups over 50 (50-64 year olds, 44%-39%, and those 65 and older (49%-36%). Almost half of voters nationwide agree with Statement A that the President currently "unable to lead" and that the "public is saying to the President that his presidency is over". Only 42% agree with Statement B that "still he has accomplished a lot…

U.S. poll: more voters see Obama as worst president in modern times!

Reuters via Yahoo ^ | July 2, 2014
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Two years into President Barack Obama's second term, more voters say they are dissatisfied with his administration's handling of everything from the economy to foreign policy, giving him the worst marks of any modern U.S. president, a poll on Wednesday said. In a survey of 1,446 registered voters, 33 percent said Obama was the worst president since World War Two, while 28 percent pointed to his predecessor, George W. Bush, as the worst, the poll by Quinnipiac University found. Voters were split over which of the two most recent presidents has done a better job with 39 percent saying Obama has been a better president than Bush and, 40 percent saying Obama is worse. Most voters said Ronald Reagan, who served two terms in the 1980s, was the best president since 1945, the survey showed. "Over the span of 69 years of American history and 12 presidencies, President Barack Obama finds himself with President George W. Bush at the bottom of the popularity barrel," said Tim Malloy, assistant director of Quinnipiac University's polling unit. While Obama's job approval rating has inched higher to 40 percent, up from 38 percent in December, more voters gave him largely negative marks in key areas: the economy, foreign policy, healthcare and terrorism, according to the poll.

Hillary Clinton says much of what is written about her is “Inaccurate or unimportant to me”!

Accuracy In Media ^ | July 2 2014 | Don Irvine
Hillary Clinton’s book tour hasn’t been the love-fest with the media that she was counting on. As a matter of fact, it has been something of a disaster. During an interview with Steve Scully of C-SPAN, set to air this weekend on BookTV, according to Politico, he asked Hillary if she follows everything that’s written about her.  Clinton: I can’t, Steve. I can’t. It’s just overwhelming. I can’t do it. So I skim it. If it’s important it will come to me, I assume. A lot of it is inaccurate or unimportant to me. I try to keep up with it, but I can’t possibly read it all. I would be doing nothing else. As the presumptive Democratic nominee for president in 2016, Clinton thought the media would fawn over her book tour, and that it would serve as a test launch for her presumed presidential run in 2016.

Cancer patient, 64, who was suing over Obamacare enrollment mixup dies of her brain tumor!

Daily Mail ^ | 07/02/2014 | Lydia Warren
Linda Rolain passed away at her Las Vegas home on Monday Her family had joined two lawsuits against the State of Nevada and the company that set up its troubled online software, Xerox She had tried to enroll in the state's health exchange in November and after numerous issues, finally paid in January for coverage to start in March But when she went to get treatment, there was no record of her name and she finally received an insurance card in May She underwent surgery in mid-May but struggled to recover Robert Rolain, who lost 60 pounds due to stress, said working with the Silver State Exchange was 'pure hell'. He said he believes that if enrollment had worked properly, Linda could have undergone chemotherapy and radiation to get rid of the tumor - and that she would still be alive. 'It's hard, knowing she could have lived a little longer anyway,' he said. Rolain was one of about 150 Nevadans suing Xerox for enrollment issues that left them without the health insurance they paid for, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported. Her lawyer said he fears that hers will not be the last case to end so tragically. 'Some of our clients are so ill that if their needs are not addressed now, it is a matter of life and death,' Matthew Callister told the Review-Journal. 'We urge all Nevadans to verify that their insurance is active and in place in light of the many problems that hundreds if not thousands of Nevadans have gone through.'

Another federal judge tells IRS to explain itself on lost emails!

Washington Examiner ^ | July 2, 2014 | Mark Tapscott
IRS attorneys will be even busier than normal next week, because another federal judge has told them to show up in court July 11 to defend the federal tax agency. They will have to explain to U.S. District Court Judge Reggie Walton why the IRS shouldn't be required to let an outside expert evaluate whether emails on the computer hard drives of former IRS official Lois Lerner and six colleagues really are lost forever, as the agency recently told Congress.

Conservative HQ ^ | July 2, 2014 | Kassandra D. Smith’s chairman and TAKEOVER author Richard A. Viguerie is calling on all conservatives to speak out about the Mississippi GOP Senate primary by July 4. And many conservatives are heeding the call. Viguerie announced a new contest that gives conservatives a chance to express their distrust of the GOP establishment and to remind the Republican Party that the establishment’s power hungry dealings won’t be forgotten. Viguerie believes that now is the time to strike. "It's now or never. Independence Day is the perfect time for conservative patriots to declare their independence from the Big Government, content-free, GOP Establishment and the corrupt politicians they support. Thad Cochran is the poster boy for power hungry establishment politics. I want every conservative who has seen through the establishment's dirty tricks to send a clear message to DC: We won't forget Mississippi. The Mississippi Senate Race Button and Bumper Sticker Contest is the perfect opportunity to do so." The Mississippi Senate Race Button and Bumper Sticker Contest runs now through July 4. Viguerie will choose two winners: one for the best button slogan and one for the best bumper sticker slogan. Several conservatives have already submitted their entries. ConservativeHQ has received some creative and pointed slogans such as "A Cheat Deserves Defeat!" and "Mississippi Votes For Sale: $15." One thing is for certain: conservatives are duly fired up about what happened in the primary. Some are even calling for Mississippians to write-in Chris McDaniel in November. Viguerie is looking for unique and creative phrases that will grab attention. The top slogans will be made into buttons and bumper stickers that will be distributed to conservatives. Winners will receive a supply of the buttons and bumper stickers, as well as bragging rights. Viguerie stated that conservatives who saw through the deceit are outraged because the GOP establishment called the TEA Party racist, spread lies that the TEA Party was suppressing black votes, used conservative contributions given to the NRSC to attack conservative candidate Chris McDaniel, and campaigned in black communities that Thad Cochran would be more supportive of Obama than Chris McDaniel. “In Mississippi, the Republican establishment was quick to grasp that their only way to hold on to power was to make common cause with liberals to defeat conservative Chris McDaniel in the Republican primary election. Conservatives are now on notice that the playbook the establishment will follow in other closely contested primaries will be to recruit Democrats and liberals to vote in Republican primary elections,” Viguerie said. Viguerie explained that this race did not crush the Tea Party. “What they have done by using the tactics and language of the left to defeat principled conservative Chris McDaniel is to pour gasoline on the fire and make more Tea Party oriented voters and encourage more Tea Party oriented candidates to step up to fight a now thoroughly discredited Republican establishment.” Enter the contest HERE before midnight, July 4.

Conservatives say the U.S. has done enough to create equality for blacks. Young liberals agree!

The Washington Post ^ | July 1, 2014 | Emily Badger
One last dip into a big Pew survey we've been discussing about on the politics and policy views of Americans. Pew surveyed more than 10,000 adults earlier this year on topics ranging from their views of Hillary Rodham Clinton to taking the bus, and the report divides their responses along a set of political typologies that group respondents into generally coherent categories across the range of policy issues: i.e., the "business conservative," the "solid liberal," the young "next generation left." Across that spectrum, there is not surprisingly wide disagreement on racial progress in America and the steps government still must take to achieve it. Most of the results on this chart are fairly predictable: Conservatives broadly believe that the government much done all it needs to to ensure equal rights for blacks. Liberals, with one striking exception, overwhelmingly disagree:

How Can Anyone Trust Obama? ^ | July 1, 2014 | David Limbaugh
Do you remember what President Obama initially said about the Internal Revenue Service scandal? Do you recall his professed outrage? Obama wanted us to know how furious he was. He said, "The misconduct that (the inspector general's report) uncovered is inexcusable." "It's inexcusable," he repeated, "and Americans are right to be angry about it, and I am angry about it. I will not tolerate this kind of behavior in any agency — but especially in the IRS, given the power that it has and the reach that it has into all of our lives." He declared that the "responsible parties" would be held "accountable." He reported that Treasury Secretary Jack Lew "took the first step by requesting — and accepting — the resignation of the acting commissioner of the IRS (Steven Miller) because given the controversy surrounding this audit, it's important to institute new leadership that can help restore confidence going forward." He said he had directed the agency to implement recommendations from the inspector general to ensure that this outrageous conduct would not be repeated.

US Will Become ‘Third World Nation’ If Feds Don’t Enforce Immigration Laws

CBSDC/AP ^ | July 1, 2014
WASHINGTON (CBSDC/AP) — Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, warns that the United States will become a third world nation if the federal government does not enforce its immigration laws. Speaking to “The Sean Hannity Show,” the Republican lawmaker said the country will be destroyed if the U.S. continues to allow thousands of immigrants to cross the border illegally. “You’ve got to follow the law. You cannot bring hundreds of thousands of people in this country without destroying the country,” Gohmert told Hannity. “Then there’s no place that people can dream about coming.” Gohmert stated that it’s the government’s job to defend the U.S. “against anybody that would overwhelm the country and bring it down.”

Breitbart ^ | 7-2-14
On Tuesday's broadcast of "The O'Reilly Factor," Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer gave his solution to the crisis at the southern United States border: a fence. He argued that securing the border with a fence is a proven method and he pointed to other places where it has worked, including at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. in Washington, D.C. "Alright, here's what I've been on for years," Krauthammer said. "You start with a fence. It's very simple. People say, 'Oh, fences don't work. You make a ladder.' Well, then you build two fences, triple strand fences. San Diego did that in the mid 90's and within a decade, the illegal immigration rate at that point was reduced by 90 percent and people ended up going through other places like Arizona." "If fences don't work, why is there one around the White House?" he continued. "If they don't work, why is it that the Israeli fence which separate Israel from the West Bank has cut down terror attacks within Israel by 99 percent. Fences work. Yes, there are parts of the border where you can't have a fence, fine. So you don't have it in those areas and you do heavy patrols. But there is no reason why a rich country like us cannot put a fence across -- a double fence, a triple fence and patrol it all the time. That would have a tremendous impact."

Five problems a government inspection found with Obamacare subsidies!

Washington Examiner ^ | 7/2/2014 | Susan Ferrechio
The inspector general for the Department of Health and Human Services released a report highlighting problems verifying eligibility for federal health insurance subsidies under the Affordable Care Act. Here are five issues the IG found in place as of Feb. 23: 1. Fraud could be significant. The audit found the federal government has been unable to resolve 2.6 million out of 2.9 million “inconsistencies” in the information provided by people who applied for health care subsidies. In other words, it could not verify the data provided by people seeking subsidies.2. Most inconsistencies were about citizenship and income. The vast majority of the questionable data provided by those receiving health care subsidies relate to citizenship and income level. The audit found that 44 percent of inconsistent information concerned verifying citizenship or lawful presence. Income information made up 33 percent of the potentially faulty data, and in 11 percent of cases, the government couldn’t verify whether a person was truly ineligible for employer-sponsored insurance.3. The site is still not working perfectly. According to the audit, one health care marketplace was unable to verify the information on 15,000 applications because of outages on the federal website for verifying data. The federal data hubs also contained old and inaccurate information. In some cases, for example, infants were identified as “incarcerated.”4. The site is still incomplete. According to the audit, the federal government was unable to resolve inconsistent data from subsidy applicants because the system “was not fully operational.” In fact, the government was not able to determine how many applicants with whom the government had at least one problem verifying the information they provided.5. Some state-run marketplaces have problems, too. Four states do not have the capacity to determine how many applicants for health care subsidies have provided potentially faulty information. Nevada and Oregon reported their systems “were not built with the capacity to provide that data.” In Colorado and Minnesota, health care marketplace officials relied on state Medicaid offices to do the verifying and said they had no access to the information.

Obama’s Dance With Radical Islam

Frontpage ^ | 7/2/2014 | Daniel Mandel
Last month, President Barack Obama chose to support and fund a Palestinian Authority (PA) government that includes Hamas, a U.S. and EU-designated terrorist group that calls in its charter for the destruction of Israel (Article 15) and the murder of Jews (Article 7). Also last month, Obama freed five senior Taliban terrorist commanders in exchange for an American serviceman who may have been a deserter.Obama could have cut funding to the PA, which would have made sense strategically, and could have supported a close, long-standing American ally, Israel. He could have refused any exchange of senior Taliban leaders. Why didn’t he?Because he supports engagement with radical Islam – not merely moderate Muslims, Arab liberals, or secular reformers. Al-Qaeda notwithstanding, Obama believes radical Muslims are potential allies and friends. This is confirmed by his decisions at every important point in his presidency. Thus, when Obama addressed the Muslim world in Cairo in June 2009, he insisted on inviting members of the parliamentary bloc of the (then-banned) radical Muslim Brotherhood over the objections of U.S. ally, Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak – though the Obama administration later denied that it did so. (A furious Mubarak refused to attend.)It was no secret that numerous surveys had shown before 2011 that large majorities of Egyptians favor discriminatory sharia, the death penalty for apostates and so on – meaning that it was almost certain that radical Muslims would triumph in elections. Yet, when a groundswell of opposition to Mubarak’s rule arose in February 2011, Obama called for Mubarak to step down “now” while his spokesman called for early elections involving “non-secular actors.”When the Brotherhood’s Mohamed Morsi was, unsurprisingly, elected president, Obama did not discontinue arming the regime, even though its future policies were as yet entirely unknown. Yet, when in July 2013, Morsi was ousted by the Egyptian military under Field Marshal Abdul el-Sisi, Obama suspended military aid.The Iranian regime is one whose leaders have called for the destruction of both America and Israel. Tehran has been developing a nuclear weapons capacity that would give it the means to act on these designs. Yet, Obama has not sought to undermine or replace the regime. In 2009, when Iranians were brutalized on Tehran’s streets for protesting the rigged re-election of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Obama did not call for Ahmadinejad to step down – he pointedly refused to get involved, saying “it’s not productive, given the history of U.S.-Iranian relations, to be seen as meddling.”For over a year upon becoming President, Obama prevented any new congressional sanctions on Iran coming to a vote. He subsequently diluted and delayed those that in the end passed. The 2010 UN Security Council sanctions Obama did support did not cover Iran’s vital oil, financial, and insurance sectors, and included huge exemptions for numerous countries like China, which has huge contracts in Iran’s energy sector developing oil refineries, and Russia, which supplies S-300 surface-to-air missiles to Iran. Then, in 2013, having at least tightened UN sanctions, Obama agreed to immediately undo them, granting Iran some $20 billion in sanctions relief (not merely $6-7 billion, as the Administration initially claimed) under the terms of the Geneva interim agreement. That agreement permitted Iran to retain intact all the essential elements of its nuclear weapons program – its Arak plutonium plant; continued uranium enrichment; intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) programs, even retention of its enriched uranium stocks. (Iran was simply required to reduce them to an oxide which can be restored in weeks to weapons-grade uranium.)The conclusion is clear: Obama, contrary to his oft-repeated promise to do “everything, everything” to prevent Iran going nuclear, is willing to let Tehran become the next nuclear power. That’s why in July 2009, then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said that the U.S. would extend a “missile shield” over the Middle East if that occurred. It also explains why Obama in 2013 nominated as Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel, an outspoken opponent of stopping Iran by military or even economic means. In Syria, Obama is arming the opposition to Bashar Assad’s Baathist regime. It might indeed be welcome if Assad fell, but some 80% of the forces fighting him are Islamists, including al-Qaeda. Where will that leave Syria and the region should Islamists succeed in replacing Assad?Turkey long ceased to be a close U.S. ally. In June 2010, it opposed U.S-supported UN sanctions on Iran. In 2012, it excluded Israel from two counter-terrorism conferences in Istanbul, and Madrid. Its Islamist Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has called Israel a “terrorist state” and Zionism “a crime against humanity.” He has also a record of anti-Semitism that goes back to the 1970s. Yet, by Obama’s own admission, Erdogan is one of Obama’s closest friends among foreign leaders. Now, having chosen not to penalize Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah/Palestinian Authority for forming a unity regime with Hamas, a package of $440 million in U.S. aid to the PA is set to proceed, even though we now know that Hamas members kidnapped and murdered three Israeli teenagers. The record shows that Obama favors accommodation with radical Islam, their regimes and their leaders. He has less interest in traditional U.S. allies and is willing to pick fights with them or abandon them.
