Obama Losing It as ‘Press-titues’ Flee

Townhall.com ^ | June 19, 2014 | John Ransom
This is what it looks like when Obama loses it. We’ve witnessed this before, but this time it’s a little different. This time Obama’s the target of a coordinated attack by the mainstream media. The press-titutes, as my friend Shawn Mitchell happily calls them, are heaping scorn on the president in a way that previously was reserved only for conservative news outlets. Obama's Presidency Is on the Ropes – Again- says NBC.com. Obama’s Foreign Policy Approval Rating Falls to New Low- says Time. Remember when foreign policy was Obama’s strong suit? Not anymore- says the Washington Post. I don't actually remember when foreign policy was Obama’s strong suit. I remember a time when the world expressed their anti-Americanism by embracing Obama--more about that in a second. I also remember when Americans preferred disengagement to being a leader in the world-- that defeatist attitude taken by so-called libertarians, Democrats, and Know-Nothings that gulls the country into a false sense of security. But it’s informative that the official Party line as prescribed by the WaPo is that Obama’s foreign policy is a failure…now. I’m guessing previously-- when Hillary was in charge—foreign policy was just fine, with the guiding hand of a strong confident woman whose most impressive resume item was not staying home and baking cookies because, well, Bill was never home, was he? Perhaps had he stayed home more, Hillary’s cooking would have kept the pounds off. I like this concept of “press-titues.” While Obama thought he owned the media, in truth he only rented them. Because the media is now practicing their newest Obama narrative: Obama had great ideas, but he wasn’t a great manager. “He may be winning the issues debate,” says Democrat pollster Peter Hart, who conducts polls jointly with a Republican for the Wall Street Journal and NBC, “but he’s losing the political debate, because they don’t see him as a leader.” That’s because he’s not a leader. Never has been. He’s basked in the adulation that was given him by: 1) his skin color; and 2) his fleeting, now tedious, oratory skills. He’s often a panderer. He’s always an opportunist. Leader? Nope. He isn’t even winning on the issues debate. Getting past the fact that in 2010 he presided over one of the most lopsided mid-term defeats in history, his 2012 re-election tended to confirm only two things: 1) Obama’s still black; and 2) yes, he was going to raise taxes on all of us, no matter what he said to the contrary. Obama has always been an expression of nothing more than the growing dissatisfaction with the governing elite worldwide. That’s why the world embraced him. As the most powerful country in the history of the world, America is bound to take some shots at a time when global agitation is growing with how we are governed worldwide. The Tea Party, Occupy, the Arab Spring and yes, even Obama, are all expressions of deep dissatisfaction with the way we are ruled today. The mistake that the world made was in thinking that Obama was an outsider, when in fact he’s the consummate insider. Everything he has done, everything he’s been given, has been because the insiders, like Warren Buffett, GE, Goldman Sachs, and their lackeys, the press-titutes, have allowed him these gifts. And now they are about to take those gifts away and try to confer them on another insider of whom they approve: Romney, McCain, Clinton, Bush, someone, anyone, who will keep the game going. They will never humiliate him completely because that would denigrate his one legitimate strength with insiders that they still need to use—his skin color. But Obama’s getting an education about the difference between being a reigning Miss America and a former Miss America. He’s losing it; he’s losing his title.

Carney: I never told a lie (Yeah, Right!)

The Hill ^ | June 19,2014 | Justin Sink
White House press secretary Jay Carney says he never lied to the press corps during his three and a half years as the top presidential spokesman. “Honestly, it's not because I’m a paragon of virtue, it’s because that would be a terrible way to do the job,” Carney told reporters at a Christian Science Monitor breakfast. The press secretary admitted that he sometimes could not or did not want to answer questions posed by reporters. “What you do when you can’t say is you don’t,” Carney said. “You take the question or you explain what you can.” Carney will leave his post as press secretary on Friday. His deputy, Josh Earnest, is slated to take over his position. Opponents of the administration have accused the longtime press secretary of occasionally playing fast and loose with the truth. House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) blasted him last summer as a “paid liar” for his explanation of the Internal Revenue Service’s targeting of conservative political groups. “The administration is still, their paid liar, their spokesperson, picture behind, he’s still making up things about what happened and calling this local rogue,” Issa told CNN.

Why People Zone Out on Hillary: She's a real nowhere woman, trying to replace a nowhere man!

Pajamas Media ^ | 06/19/2014 | Roger Simon
sleeping_hillary_clinton_6-18-14-1Hillary Clinton — the woman assumed to be the next Democratic Party presidential nominee and quite possibly the next president — is evidently a big snooze. According to Mediate [1], her interviews to promote her book on CNN and Fox had underwhelming numbers. In the case of Greta Van Susteren’s show, she sent people fleeing midway. More importantly, her book itself is a sales disappointment and, I would wager, even more disappointing if you could ascertain how many who did buy it read actually past page 15. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was in single digits. No, I haven’t read it and don’t intend to. Almost all books by contemporary politicians are intellectually vacuous, ghostwritten exercises in self-promotion or, as in the case of Barack Obama, a straight out pack of lies. Who would spend their valuable reading time on that with the thousands of great books, past and present, available? I haven’t even made my way through half of Dorothy Sayers [2].Which leads me to the deeper reason the country is sleeping through Hillary’s book and it’s not just because it’s hugely over long and therefore a totally un-green waste of paper and trees (although that’s true). Most people know she’s basically dishonest, a prevaricator. Even liberals, though they won’t readily admit it, know this. Who can forget her blaming her husband’s compulsive philandering on the “great, right-wing conspiracy”? If they only had such power. Or the dim-witted claims of being under fire when she hadn’t been (at least Geraldo makes a show of ducking) and, more recently, the banshee-cry of “What difference does it make?” concerning the deaths of our people in Benghazi? The Benghazi lies are actually exponential. (I’m not even going to go back to Whitewater, the miracle quick killing on the stock market, the mysterious Rose Law Firm bill and all the rest.)But is the cause of this lying ideological — the ends even roughly justifying the means? In truth, I think not. Years ago, as a college girl, she may have had an attraction for Saul Alinsky, but in the intervening time that has been overwhelmed and, for the most part, forgotten in a welter of blind, unremitting ambition of the financial and power sort. Hillary’s not a socialist, not a Marxist, not a capitalist, not a libertarian, not anything. There’s nothing authentic about her, no there there. It’s hard to know what Hillary believes anymore. She’s so disingenuous she probably fools herself. No wonder she got so upset when being questioned about her “evolving” position on gay marriage. She undoubtedly was having trouble remembering what she had said when and why. It’s all situational. No one can — not even she — remember what she did as secretary of State except fly around on planes. So Hillary is a nowhere woman, trying to replace a nowhere man, which is saying something given Obama’s recent poll numbers. And no one wants to pay attention to a nowhere woman who has been a serial liar. It’s stupefying. The natural reaction of most people, even many who will support her anyway, is to tune out — and they have. We’ve zoned out on Hillary. She’s not even a subject of glamorous interest anymore. Who cares whom she really sleeps with or how she relates to Bill? It’s all one big snooze, less important than the Kardashians and they, apparently, are on the way out.But boring as she is, Hillary still very well might be POTUS. And that will be a truly sad day for this country. Imagine, if you will, Inaugural Day 2017 with Hillary Clinton being sworn in to the presidency. A few time-warped pseudo-feminists will be excited because she’s a woman. (How sexist is that!) But the rest of us, I submit, will be numb, even the Democrats who voted for her because most of them will have done it without much enthusiasm or, at best, because it helps them keep their government jobs. After eight years of Obama, we get Hillary. Yikes!

Hillary Clinton Asked To Inscribe “Hard Choices” To Ambassador Stevens!

Daily Surge ^ | June 19, 2014 | Matt Fox
Jason Mattera caught up with Hillary Clinton at one of the DC stops on her book tour this week, and asked the former Secretary of State if she would mind signing a copy of Hard Choices… but with a twist. “If you could make it out to Christopher Stevens,” Mattera queried. “I think you knew him.” Christopher Stevens, of course, was the U.S. ambassador to Libya who was murdered along with three other Americans on Clinton’s watch, when Jihadists attacked two U.S. outposts in Benghazi on September 11, 2012. Hillary, surprised by the request, replied, “Yeah, I’m not gonna make it out to Chris Stevens.” Mattera followed-up with, “What difference does it make?” a reference to Clinton’s infamous 2013 Senate testimony before the Foreign Relations Committee. Mattera, the publisher of Daily Surge, also noted during their exchange that Hillary’s security detail appears to be larger than what Ambassador Stevens was provided in Benghazi. Clinton’s entourage filled up a town car, two SUVs, and consisted of security personnel from the building she had just exited. Recently, Diane Sawyer pressed Hillary on the “systemic” security failures at the American consulate in Libya, where both Ambassador Stevens and Sean Smith died. Clinton gave a rather Clintonian answer: “I take responsibility, but I was not making security decisions.” Watch the video of Mattera and Clinton above.
