Tea party favorite to head Dallas think tank (LTC Allen West)

Tea party favorite Allen B. West was named Friday to be the new CEO of the National Center for Policy Analysis, a Dallas think tank that has focused on market-based solutions for health care and tax and fiscal policy.
West, 53, is a former Republican congressman from Florida and a retired Army lieutenant colonel. He is expected to boost donations to the think tank, which sagged after the forced departure of founding CEO John Goodman in June.
Since leaving Congress in 2013, West has been a commentator on Fox News, a blogger and a fundraiser for conservative veteran and minority candidates. In his latest blog, West questioned whether the Obama administration allowed in young immigrants who brought enterovirus-68.
“What if the Obama administration policy of allowing an influx of tens of thousands of illegal immigrants into America this summer and subsequently dispersing them was ... in effect a form of biological warfare?”(continued)
