Sen. Ron Johnson, Who Opposed Cruz Defunding Strategy, Scrambles to Patch Obamacare!

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) did not support Sen. Ted Cruz’s effort to omit Obamacare funding in a continuing resolution, at one point calling Cruz’s defunding strategy “intellectually dishonest” and a “circular firing squad.”

But now Johnson is out with his own strategy to deal with the problems caused by the law. Although he favors repeal, he’s going for a patch.
Johnson has introduced the “If You Like Your Health Care, You Can Keep It Act,” which would amend the Affordable Care Act to ensure that individuals can keep their health insurance coverage. His bill promises “no changes to existing coverage.”
But Johnson admits the legislation won’t help people—apparently millions of them—who already have received policy cancellation notices, most of them in the individual insurance market. …
