Korea

One of the better ones that I have watched concerning Korea. It is long and there is much great photography. But sadly, I notice that, as per usual, the correct credit is not given when it is deserved. And, I fully realize that it is not possible to always use actual photography of the event discussed or being reflected upon. But if the film maker is discussing 'the Army," one would at least think that he would use Army unit film to indicate same. Many times within the film, the term, "Eight Army" or a certain "Corps" is referred to when, in reality, and in the film, it is the Marines that they are referring to. Way too many times the nariator speaks of "the army" when it clearly shows Marines with camouflaged helmit covers and canvas leggings. As the North Korean and Communist forces referred to us, "the yellow legs."Berney, I see where this film does a great job of giving you doctors the outstanding credit you so rightly deserve. Perhaps you will see, or know, some of the Med unit personnel shown in this film. Stan, once gain, many thanks for sharing this with us. Perhaps some of you on this mailing list will see some sceens that you were right in the middle of. I was a 'late comer' and didn't arrive in Korea until the 5th Replacement draft got there in early '51. Semper Fidelis Ralph
