Two News & Record reporters returned to the office in the past hour after checking Chick-fil-A restaurants for on-site kissing by supporters of same-sex marriage.

The reporters visited four Chick-fil-A's.They saw no kissing.

We'll stop by local Chick-fil-A's again later today. Let us know if you see Chick-fil-A kissers.
Kiss-ins, set for today, were to be same-sex marriage supporters' answer to Wednesday's -- what? -- eat-in. That's when supporters of Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy's stance against same-sex marriage packed its restaurants in the Triad and elsewhere.
Of course, 'tis easier and probably more fun to register support by eating out than to declare your opposition by public smooching -- especially on private property where neither restaurant managers nor some other diners will welcome you.
In other words, any "I'm for same-sex marriage" kissers will have to be more committed to their cause than were many of Wednesday's diners.
Cathy told an online Baptist publication in mid-July that he endorses the biblical view of marriage. The predictable response from same-sex marriage supporters followed. Then former Arkansas governor and one-time presidential candidate Mike Huckabee suggested via Facebook that those who hold to Cathy's view visit Chick-fil-A's for lunch on Wednesday.
Chick-fil-A announced Thursday that it had record-setting sales Wednesday. The Atlanta-based company, with more than 1,600 restaurants, is privately held and does not release financial information. It provided no specifics about Wednesday's sales.
